CBS has just officially announced the cast of Survivor: Blood vs Water. For the most part, my previous post spoiling the cast was pretty accurate. The one exception being RC Saint-Amour being swapped out for Candice Woodcock Cody.
The 27th edition of Survivor will feature former players competing with – and ultimately against – their loved ones who share the same goal: to outwit, outplay, outlast and ultimately be crowned Sole Survivor. Instead of the usual 39 days, this season will be 39 1/2 days. The night before the action begins, players and their loved ones are placed on the island separate from everyone else. This will falsely give them the sense they’re playing the game as pairs… NOT. Once all together, the newbies will form one tribe and the alums the other. Before the competition begins, each tribe must vote out a member right away. OUCH.
Which brings me to the return of Redemption Island where castaways who have been eliminated from the game can seek redemption and return for a chance to win the million dollar prize. The twist this season, however, is loved ones will be forced to choose whether to “save” their partner on Redemption Island and switch places with them, thus allowing their loved one to immediately re-enter the game, or leave them in exile to survive on their own.
Check out the entire cast below which features, for the first time ever, a former Big Brother contestant. At long last, we’ll finally find out first hand if Survivor or Big Brother is the harder game to play.
