Famed director Peter Bogdanovich best known for The Last Picture Show (1971) returns with She’s Funny That Way. The comedy-drama screened at the Venice Film Festival and TIFF last year. It hits theaters on May 1, 2015.

The film serves as somewhat of a reunion for Marley & Me co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, minus an adorable pooch this around. Wilson plays a Broadway theater director who falls in love with a prostitute-turned-Broadway-thespian (Imogen Poots). Aniston plays Poot’s therapist and whose boyfriend (Will Forte) also falls for the aspiring actress.

Michael Shannon, Kathryn Hahn, Rhys Ifans, Cybill Shepherd, Richard Lewis, Tatum O’Neal, Jennifer Esposito and Lucy Punch round out the cast. Check out the first trailer below.

The 45-year-old actress used a tactic that’s worked for so many before her. Play against type and look as unglamorous as possible for an indie film. It appeared it was working. All the stars were lined up for Jennifer Aniston to nab her first Oscar nomination. She scored SAG and Golden Globe nods and earned rave reviews from major critics.

However, when the Academy Awards revealed their nominations last week, Aniston’s name was missing from the Best Actress category. Marion Cotillard came out of nowhere to snag her presumed spot. Reese Witherspoon and Julianne Moore, who made the Final 5, both sent messages to Aniston expressing their sympathy.

The former Friends star opens up more about her Oscar snub with her good friend Ellen DeGeneres. Watch her joke about it below, along with tossing several cakes at Ellen’s audience members and why she grabbed Kate Hudson’s butt on the Golden Globes red carpet.

How adorable do Adam Levine and Paul Rudd look in the photo above? If they weren’t straight and taken, they’d make such a cute couple.

When you hold a fancy shindig with plenty of celebrities attending, an ordinary photo booth just won’t do. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association enlisted famed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth to snap the night’s attendees. With hanging gold tinsel as a backdrop, presenters and winners alike showed off their goofy side for Von Unwerth. Check out my favorite photos from the 72nd Golden Globes photo booth below.

The Birdman train to eventual Oscar glory keeps chugging along. The Michael Keaton film leads the pack (once again) with 13 nominations, this time for the 20th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Close behind were The Grand Budapest Hotel and Boyhood with 11 and eight nominations respectively. Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken which was snubbed at the Golden Globes earned a Best Picture nod.

Legendary Super Bowl Champion Michael Strahan will serve as the show’s host which will air live on A&E at 9 p.m. ET on Jan. 15. As announced previously, Kevin Costner, Ron Howard and Jessica Chastain will each receive special honors at the ceremony.

Costner will receive their Lifetime Achievement Award while Ron Howard will be bestowed with the LOUIS XIII Critics’ Choice Genius Award. That latter is given to honor an icon who has demonstrated unprecedented excellence in the cinematic arts. Chastain receives the inaugural ‘Critics’ Choice MVP Award which recognizes an extraordinary actor for their work in several standout movies throughout a single year. She definitely deserves it with for her critically-acclaimed work in Interstellar, Miss Julie, A Most Violent Year and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.

It appears Birdman is the one to beat at the 87th Academy Awards. The film has been racking up numerous accolades all awards season long but with its multiple Screen Actors Guild nominations, it’s pretty much solidified itself as the frontrunner. Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, and Emma Stone all scored some love along with Best Ensemble which is the SAG’s version of Best Picture.

When it comes to correctly predicting Oscar nominees and eventual winners, the SAGs have one of the best records. With the 2014 nominations now unveiled, the Oscar race for the acting categories is becoming a lot clearer.

Julianne Moore, Patricia Arquette and Keaton cemented their statuses as the ones to place your bets on, while Jennifer Aniston, Emma Stone, Reese Witherspoon, Eddie Redmayne have all now officially entered the race. Check out all the nominations below which includes Meryl Streep snagging her umpteenth nod.

Mini Friends Reunion On Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Just hours after Warner Bros announced its plans to open a Central Perk pop-up coffee shop in New York City to celebrate the sitcom premiere’s 20th anniversary, a mini Friends reunion took place on late night television. Kimmel brought together Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow for a segment on his talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The ladies reprised their iconic roles to recite some Friends fan fiction. To make things even more authentic, Kimmel recreated the kitchen from Monica and Rachel’s apartment which reportedly cost $80,000. Jimmy also participated, playing a more lecherous version of Ross for the skit.

For the most part, the girls were good sports. Aniston drew the line when it came to putting on a wig styled after her infamous ‘Rachel‘ haircut. Watch all the action below.

chelsea-lately-series-finale

Just like Jay Leno did for his Tonight Show farewell, Chelsea Handler enlisted her celebrity friends to close out her time over at E!. After seven years, the 39-year-old hosted the final episode of her talk show Chelsea Lately! She’ll head over to Netflix to launch the streaming service’s first ever talk show, set to debut in early 2016.

Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock and Mary McCormack mocked Handler in a segment which included a surprise by Chelsea’s former flame, 50 Cent. In another bit, Ellen DeGeneres surprised Chelsea in the shower asking why she had never been invited as a guest and wondered if it was because of her sexual orientation.

As amusing as those segments were, my favorite part featured Handler being serenaded by a whackload of stars singing revised lyrics to “We Are The World.” Gwen Stefani kicked things off with solos by Fergie, Avril Lavigne, Trace Adkins, Dave Grohl, Alanis Morrissette, LeAnn Rimes and Tim Gunn.

They were joined in the chorus by Vanessa Hudgens, 50 Cent, Joel McHale, Naya Rivera, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Miley Cyrus, Tim Allen, Dane Cook, Josh Gad, Kathy Griffin, Leah Remini, Wiz Khalifa, Anna Faris, Chloe Grace Moretz, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, Johnny Knoxville and Kelly Osbourne. Marlee Matlin was also on hand singing along using sign language. Check out all the clips below.
