Mini Friends Reunion On Jimmy Kimmel Live!

In: Donovan, TV Shows

Just hours after Warner Bros announced its plans to open a Central Perk pop-up coffee shop in New York City to celebrate the sitcom premiere’s 20th anniversary, a mini Friends reunion took place on late night television. Kimmel brought together Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow for a segment on his talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The ladies reprised their iconic roles to recite some Friends fan fiction. To make things even more authentic, Kimmel recreated the kitchen from Monica and Rachel’s apartment which reportedly cost $80,000. Jimmy also participated, playing a more lecherous version of Ross for the skit.

For the most part, the girls were good sports. Aniston drew the line when it came to putting on a wig styled after her infamous ‘Rachel‘ haircut. Watch all the action below.

Just like Jay Leno did for his Tonight Show farewell, Chelsea Handler enlisted her celebrity friends to close out her time over at E!. After seven years, the 39-year-old hosted the final episode of her talk show Chelsea Lately! She’ll head over to Netflix to launch the streaming service’s first ever talk show, set to debut in early 2016.

Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock and Mary McCormack mocked Handler in a segment which included a surprise by Chelsea’s former flame, 50 Cent. In another bit, Ellen DeGeneres surprised Chelsea in the shower asking why she had never been invited as a guest and wondered if it was because of her sexual orientation.

As amusing as those segments were, my favorite part featured Handler being serenaded by a whackload of stars singing revised lyrics to “We Are The World.” Gwen Stefani kicked things off with solos by Fergie, Avril Lavigne, Trace Adkins, Dave Grohl, Alanis Morrissette, LeAnn Rimes and Tim Gunn.

They were joined in the chorus by Vanessa Hudgens, 50 Cent, Joel McHale, Naya Rivera, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Miley Cyrus, Tim Allen, Dane Cook, Josh Gad, Kathy Griffin, Leah Remini, Wiz Khalifa, Anna Faris, Chloe Grace Moretz, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, Johnny Knoxville and Kelly Osbourne. Marlee Matlin was also on hand singing along using sign language. Check out all the clips below.

Horrible Bosses 2 Debuts First Teaser Trailer

In: Donovan, Movies
horrible-bosses-2-trailer

Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day reprise their roles for Horrible Bosses 2. The film is the sequel to the 2011 black comedy sleeper hit where the trio decided to murder their respective abusive bosses. Though none of them actually committed the deed, they found themselves in much better places at their jobs by the end of the film.

For the sequel, the threesome decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business. But a slick investor played by Christoph Waltz soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son (Chris Pine) and ransom him to regain control of their company.

Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey who played their horrible bosses in the original return for the sequel, along with Jamie Foxx. Sean Anders, who co-wrote the script with John Morris, directs the film. New Line Pic will release the movie across the U.S. November 26 in time for Thanksgiving. Check out the teaser trailer below.

Good news for anyone looking so see Jennifer Aniston take her clothes off as the former Friends star is playing a stripper in her upcoming film We’re the Millers. As soon as I read about this trailer I started shaking my head and saying, “Jen… why do you always pick such awful movies.” Then I watched the trailer and took it all back.

Jason Sudeikis play a lowly drug dealer who gets caught up in a big smuggling job. To raise less suspicion at border patrol, he employs neighbour and stripper Aniston, street kid Emma Roberts, and some odd looking tall and lanky boy to play his family.

I have to say that as long as this isn’t one of those trailers that give away all the best parts of the film, this movie looks absolutely hilarious. The awkwardly sung version of TLC’s Waterfalls and a spot on impersonation of Tom Hardy’s Bane is really just the icing on the cake for me. I can’t wait to see this movie!

Check out the trailer below and let me know if you guys are as excited as me.

The cast and creators of Friends have long maintained that a reunion will never happen. Never say never as the saying goes. Slowly we’re inching ever so close to that Friends reunion.

We’ve seen a combination of pairings of the former Friends on various shows. Courteney Cox appeared on Matthew Perry’s now-canceled Go On. Both Jennifer Aniston and Cox appeared together on Cougar Town and Dirt. Lisa Kudrow reunited with Matt Leblanc on Web Therapy and also popped up on Cougar Town. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this is the first time we’ve had three of them appear together since the NBC show went off the air.

Aniston called Cox and Perry to help promote her co-hosting stint on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. In the promo clip, Aniston arrives at Perry’s house for advice since he’s co-hosted with Ellen previously. She mistakenly calls him David [Schwimmer] and jokes about his canceled show Go On. Soon after Cox pops up and also has problems remembering names. She refers to Jen as Lisa [Kudrow]. Check out the video below which also features DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi making brief cameos.

When Matthew Perry’s new sitcom Go On debuted in the summer, it looked like one of the Friends had finally scored another network hit. Sure, the pilot was assisted by a post-London Olympics airing, but the second and third episodes which aired a month later, posted respectable numbers. But as the weeks followed, the numbers dwindled. Its most recent episode only garnered an anemic 3.95 million viewers. Perhaps, a little stunt casting might draw new interest in the show. At least that’s what the producers are hoping for.

Go On announced that one of Perry’s former co-stars are guest starring in an upcoming episode. Hope producers and the network have realistic goals with this person’s appearance. Previous attempts to hold mini-reunions have done very little to improve ratings on other Friends-helmed shows. Both Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow didn’t prove very potent with their respective guest gigs on Cougar Town. The Courteney Cox ABC comedy got shuffled off to TBS. Likewise, Cox’s appearance on Kudrow’s Showtime series Web Therapy yielded similar results. Find out which Central Perk alum is reuniting with Perry soon.

I feel like it’s somewhat of an homage to Friends with the hilarious Jennifer Aniston returning to a coffee shop in a new commercial for Sky Broadband.

In the spot, the coffee shop employees are concerned about Aniston who has drank countless cups of coffee and is completely wired. When they go over to ask if she’s okay, they learn that she’s been having trouble with her wi-fi at home and thus needed to used the internet at the cafe. That’s when they tell her about Sky Broadband and from there, the wacky wired woman bolts out of the cafe to make the switch in her internet provider.

Commercial after the jump…

A week after the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, two videos from very opposing camps hit the internet. First you have celebrities asking in a PSA, “How many more colleges? How many more classrooms? How many more movie theaters? How many more house of faith? How many more shopping malls? How many more street corners?” Demand A Plan is a grassroots initiative to mobilize Americans to DEMAND a plan to end gun violence from Congress and President Obama. Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce, Michelle Williams, Selena Gomez, John Hamm, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and many, many more lend their voices to the PSA.

Coincidentally on the same day, National Rifle Association president Wayne LaPierre, held a live press conference. LaPierre claims the media is to blame for the shootings and not guns. He explains that the entertainment industry makes “the filthiest form of pornography,” citing violent music videos and films Natural Born Killers and American Psycho. He further goes on to say that “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” His most controversial comment that has celebrities on Twitter in a tizzy is his claim that had armed guards been at Sandy Hook, innocent lives would’ve been spared that day. Check out both vids below.
