While it doesn’t come with as much fanfare as Arrested Development or House of Cards, Netflix’s new original series Orange Is The New Black is worth giving a shot. Not only is it winning critics over, but the on-demand Internet streaming media provider is so bullish on the dramedy that it ordered a second season even before premiering. That’s almost unheard of.
Orange Is The New Black is the brainchild of Weeds creator Jenji Kohan. It follows Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), an upper-middle class bisexual woman who finds herself incarcerated for a crime she committed 10 years prior. It’s actually based on Piper Kerman’s memoir sharing her experiences serving a 14-month sentence in a women’s prison in 2004. While the main character is based on Kerman, the rest of the characters are fictional. Rounding out the cast are Jason Biggs, Kate Mulgrew, Laura Pepron and Natasha Lyonne.
If the trailer above piques your interest, all thirteen episodes of Orange Is The New Black are available online on Netflix beginning Thursday at 12 a.m. PDT.
“Magic Mike” has been causing female and gay male mayhem at movie theatres across America. With it’s sexy cast and promise of catching a glimpse of some naughty bits, women are telling their husbands they are “still at work” in order to catch the flick during a secret girls night. This is a story straight from a horses mouth. But, what if some of the casting had been a little different. Would the movie still have the same appeal?
Yesterday, a little audition video of Jason Biggs auditioning for the movie role of Dallas surfaced on YouTube under the username “BiggsAssistant” with the simple description, “I can’t believe I found this video…” Clearly the video is a spoof audition as we watch Jason fumble through some of Matthew’s iconic and awkward scenes from the film along with a pseudo strip tease at the end that isn’t quite SFW. Check out the funny, yet embarrassing video below.
Everyone has demons from their past that come back to haunt them, including Jason Biggs. In this latest Funny or Die video, Biggs recieves a knock at the door only to learn that an apple pie has been delivered…only he didn’t order one. This is “Revenge of the Pie“.
Before he knows it, Biggs is on the counter and instead of him putting his manhood it a hole in the pie, it’s the pie that’s “giving it” to him. “Your ass is mine, Biggs,” says the pie. LOL. This “power top” pie throws him onto the counter and says, “My d*ck is a little apple slice and you’re gonna take it. You caused a pie f*cking epidemic. All my friends are f*cked apart. Say, ‘I’m a whore for your pie d*ck‘. Say it!’” LMFAO. Yes, that happened.
Watch the video below and be sure to check out American Reunion when it hits theatres on April 6, 2012.
We have to wait all the way until April of next year to see the whole thing but until then, we have a pretty rocking trailer for the highly anticipated American Reunion movie. All of your favorites are back for their high school reunion, and as Vicky Lathum says, “what’s up class of 99ers!” A lot of time may have passed and their lives may have changed, but that doesn’t mean that when the gang gets back together, they aren’t up to their same old antics.
In the trailer, we see Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) are still trying to figure out how the whole parenting thing works. However, it doesn’t hinder them from heading back to Michigan for the high school reunion. The kids head to a high school party with high school girls where Stifler (Seann William Scott) tries to make a connection through the Twilight books.
However, the storyline I am looking forward to the most from the trailer is Jim’s dad (Eugene Levy) and Stifler’s mom (Jennifer Coolidge) having a little romantic rendevous. Thank goodness Stifler fed him those shots. Okay, I don’t want to give anymore away so just watch the trailer below. The film hits theaters April 6, 2012.
Even though they grew older and Jim married Michelle, some things will never change. This becomes clear in the new red-band teaser trailer for American Reunion. Jim is a father now, he’s the father in the infamous uncomfortable father-son moments that take place in the Levenstein household.
In the scene shown in the trailer below, Jim and Michelle are winding down for the night. Jim seems to be wrapping up a bit of work on his laptop in bed, while Michelle says she’s gonna go have a bath. Hmm. With a little time to himself, Jim decides he wants to quickly watch a porn and rub one out into a sock (as depicted in the header photo). What happens next? His son walks in and wonders what he’s doing! I won’t tell you what happens next in that scenario, but when Jim walks into the bathroom to check on his wife, a second crazy, embarrassing scene takes place. It’s quite comical. I’ve missed you Jason Biggs. LOL.
American Reunion is scheduled to hit theaters on April 6th, 2012. I expect there will me more teasers to come before then. Enjoy the teaser below and “don’t try this at home”!
After graduating high school, everyone chooses their own paths. Where this takes them is anyone’s guess. At the inevitable 10-year high school reunion, former classmates come together to catch everyone up on their lives. Whether people like to admit it or not, some use this opportunity to show how well they’ve done, while others mock how the “cool” kids have fallen from grace.
Even though the original “American Pie” movie isn’t your typical educational institution, it was the launching pad for a lot of these actors. With the original movie doing boffo business, the young actors involved had Hollywood at their fingertips. They had the ability to take their careers anywhere they wanted. Some acted in Oscar-nominated movies (Mena Suvari), some entered rehab (Seann William Scott), some got married and had kids (Alyson Hannigan) and some became red-carpet trainwrecks (Tara Reid).
Obviously, when it came time to congregate the actors for the fictional East Great Falls 10-year-reunion, some required more money to lure them back. See what the reported salaries for each of the “American Reunion” cast is below.
Ever wonder what happened to Stifler and the gang of East Great Falls? Wonder no more, because the entire graduating class of 1999 are congregating for their 10-year class reunion. Considering the movie was released 12 years ago, perhaps the “American Pie 4” film should have hit theaters a couple of years ago. Perhaps it was due to a few of the cast members being in rehab *cough* Tara Reid *cough* Sean William Scott *cough* Chris Klein *cough*, that prevented the ensemble pic from coming to fruition. Not to say all the cast members struggled with their post- American Pie fame. Mena Suvari, Jason Biggs, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Alyson Hannigan all married and worked steadily since the classic teen flick.
“American Reunion” doesn’t hit theaters til April 6, 2012, but Universal Studios just released the first teaser trailer from the fourth movie (I’m not including those straight-to-DVD sequels that followed). The video doesn’t give a whole lot away considering it’s just a video montage of the characters posing in a photo booth. That being said, it’s a great first taste at the “final” slice of “American Pie”. Appropriately enough, the images are set to the music of Matt Nathanson’s “Laid”. That track was featured on the “American Wedding” soundtrack.
Regardless of the highs and lows the cast have experienced over the years, they all look great in the photos. I’m a sucker for nostalgic films and can’t wait to see the entire gang reunite. Even though, she wasn’t part of the graduating class, I’m most excited to see Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler’s mom) back on the screen. Whenever Coolidge appears, I instantly smile from ear to ear. Check out the clip below.
Patrick likes to call me a spoiler who spoils so if you are like him and hate hearing details before movies are released then I suggest you read no further. As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, a majority of the original American Pie had signed on to do the final chapter of the franchise titled American Reunion.
Rumors had been speculating that Alyson Hannigan had been getting the cold treatment from the American Pie crew and the offer they gave her to return was insulting. Due to this treatment, her team and chosen not to comment on her return (or maybe not return) for this edition of the series. However, she is a confirmed member of the cast list so only time will tell to she if she is there when production begins.
So here goes. The group of American Pie kids return to East Great Falls High for their ten year reunion which they were invited to via Facebook. I must admit that yes, this is a thing as my class had a 5 year reunion which was also conducted via FB. While at the reunion, they all come to the realization that they are no longer teenagers.
