He was last season’s Cinderella story. Hines Ward, a wide receiver from the Pittsburgh Steelers walked away the champion of Dancing With the Stars season 12. Now, almost as famous for both of his endeavors, Hines may have found himself in a lit bit of hot water early this morning.
While driving in DeKalb County, Georgia close to his home, Hines was pulled over and arrested for a DUI. The footballer was booked at the DeKalb county jail at 3:41am and charged. The former Super Bowl MVP was later released on a $1,000 bond which he paid for his release. So far, no one from the jail or from Hines’ camp has commented on the situation.
It was a scary day in rehearsal for two of Dancing With the Stars hottest commodities. Hines Ward and his partner Kym Johnson were rehearsing in one of the studios when according to reports, the two took a nasty tumble and Kym received an undisclosed injury.
The injury was obviously bad enough to incur some serious attention and medical assistance as Kym was rushed out on a hospital stretcher wearing an oxygen mask. Hines trailed behind looking distraught at his partner’s misfortune.
At this stage in the game with only four contestants left, this injury could potentially put a huge dent in their chances and would really shift the game as Hines is a true front runner this season. At time of Kym arriving in the hospital, her rep stated that she was okay and was sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure. But how is Kym doing now?
The “Dancing With The Stars” Season 12 cast was announced live on Monday night’s “The Bachelor” and just like the elimination show, the producers dragged things out before announcing the celeb-pro pairings. Couldn’t they just have revealed the celebrities’ partners that same night. Oh, well. So which of the returning professionals are coming back? Pretty much everyone from last season with one notable exception.
As reported here a few weeks earlier, fan favorite and record holder of the most mirror ball trophies, Derek Hough, is taking a season off to focus on his film career. Coming in to fill in his ballroom shoes, is Russian hottie, Dmitry Chaplin. Welcome back you sexy beast. Unfortunately, both Julianne Hough and Edyta Sliwinska aren’t coming back, much to the chagrin of their fans. Hopefully the producers will woo them back for lucky season 13.
Tonight during The Bachelor, ABC broke the silence (finally) on who will be the celebrities on this season of Dancing With the Stars which begins March 21st. A few weeks ago, I spoke with Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower who wouldn’t crack when I asked them about the upcoming season but now, all the secrets will be revealed.
Yesterday during the Oscar’s, ABC released a mini teaser where the cast narrated a commercial all together. Rumors went wild online of who’s voices were heard within the teaser. These weren’t the first rumors that have hit the net.
Speculated cast members have included Kirstie Alley, Nastia Liukin and Kendra Wilkinson along with football bad boy Brett Favre. We all know that DWTS usually has a formula they fulfill. The child star, the legend, the pop star or R&B singer, the athlete, the supermodel, etc. So, who made the cut this year?
