Ever since news of this couple broke back in February, I’ve been rooting for them. As a fan of both The O.C. and Gossip Girl, how could I not. It’s a crossover episode that never happened but should’ve. How awesome would it be if series creator of both shows, Josh Schwartz, developed a reunion movie featuring cast members from the teen dramas. Epic doesn’t even begin to describe it.
People.com is reporting that Adam Brody (33) and Leighton Meester (27) are engaged. Prior to dating each other, both previously dated co-stars from their respective teen shows. Brody was involved with Rachel Bilson for several years and Leighton shacked up with Sebastian Stan.
Even though, Brody and Meester only started dating in February, they worked together on the same film, Oranges, back in 2011. Congrats to the happy couple.
There’s no denying that The O.C. and Gossip Girl are two of the most beloved teen shows in recent years. Both were developed from the mind of Josh Schwartz and each became watercooler sensations for their captivating first seasons. They certainly defined their respective generations brilliantly with their oh-so-cool banter, music soundtrack and pop culture references. But without a doubt, what made each show so addicting were the couples, audiences were rooting for.
Admit it, you were a fan of Marissa & Ryan, Summer & Seth, Blair & Chuck or Serena & Dan. I know I was. Imagine my delight when I came across an US Weekly article revealing that there was some crossover romance involving cast members from each show. Too bad both shows weren’t on the air at the same time. Watching this new couple happen on screen would’ve been epic. Find out who Hollywood’s newest celebrity couple is below.
After six seasons of saying she’ll never tell, Gossip Girl finally spilled the beans. As promised, the show producers revealed the identity of the most feared blogger in the Upper East Side. Was it worth the wait? Shockingly, yes.
While the last few seasons have been laborious to watch, I have to say the series finale was the perfect way to send off the CW’s once mighty show. It was almost worth painstakingly sitting through the past few seasons. Almost being the operative word. Nothing ever compared to that magical first season.
Find out who Gossip Girl was, along with my favorite moments from the final episode. There were a lot of them including some expected and unexpected cameos. PS. The final ten minutes of the episode were EVERYTHING.
This week, a new episode of Homorazzi aired on OUTtv (Episode 9 to be exact) and in case you missed it, we’ve got the full episode for you to check out below. Since Nic (one of our usual panelists) was away vacationing in Hawaii (stay tuned for coverage on that), Blue from OUTtv join in as a special guest!
As usual, the panel started off by tackling some of the latest Gossip and the most heated discussion took place on the topic of Rihanna & Chris Brown seemingly back in a relationship. The conversation then transitioned to Britney Spears & will.i.am‘s new “Scream & Shout” music video as well as comments on how she’s been doing on The X-Factor as a judge. Also discussed was Tegan & Sara‘s new “Closer” music video and we’d like to clarify that the Canadian indie rock duo are indeed both lesbians and twin sisters (despite some of the confusion discussed in the episode below – LOL).
In closing, they talk about the recent viral YouTube videos that started with “Gay Men Will Marry Your Girlfriends,” and a new gay British series worth checking out. Check out the episode below!
Since the penultimate episode of Gossip Girl airs tonight, I thought I’d share a fashion editorial featuring one of the show’s stars. It’s only natural with the show ending, that Chace Crawford look into post-show gigs. Based on this photo shoot snapped by Angelo Pennetta for MrPorter.com, he should seriously consider going back to his modeling roots. After reading his interview with the mens’ fashion journal, I don’t think that’s very likely. The Texan reveals he hated modeling.
“I did a little bit of hosting stuff in high school, so I already knew I had the voice for it… I’d done a little bit of modeling, and hated it, but then I met these agents who told me how much money I could make being in commercials and I was like, OK.” – Chace Crawford
The 27-year-old actor also reflects on his time on the once popular CW show. He reveals filming the last few scenes with Leighton Meester and Blake Lively was “a surreal experience.” The Nate Archibald portrayer likened the experience to “leaving college, just without a degree.”
I have to admit, when the show first premiered, I thought Chace was the hottest thing alive. As the season’s chugged along, not only did the storylines start sucking, but my crush on him wore off. Don’t get me wrong. I would still act like a giddy love-stricken school girl if I ever met him- especially if he’s shirtless ;) Check out Crawford’s spread below wearing Mr. Porter’s Acne evening wear collection. He looks dashingly handsome.
TV Line is reporting that they have learned exclusively that Kristen Bell will be making an appearance on Gossip Girl before the series wraps up. As you know, she narrates on the show as the voice of the trash-talking, life-ruining, big-mouth blogger, Gossip Girl who boasts as being, “Your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite.” This begs the question, will she be the actual GG that is to be revealed?
The shows creators have already promised that GG will be revealed before the series is over, so an educated guess would be that GG will be played by Kristen Bell. It would make sense that it’s her, considering where already familiar with her voice and everything. I also think she’d be brilliant in the role. Remember how awesome she was at her character on Heroes?
Are you watching the final season of Gossip Girl? If you are, you’re one of the very, very, very few people doing so. The once mighty watercooler show hasn’t attracted more than 1 million viewers this season. In fact, the last episode, “Portrait of Lady Alexander“, was the lowest rated in the show’s six-year history with only 660,000 eyeballs. OUCH. That’s a far cry from when the Upper East Side crew drew more than 3 million viewers weekly.
Perhaps Monday’s episode, titled “Monstrous Ball“, will reverse the trend. Probably not, but I’m sure the musical act that licensed his music for the first time is hoping so. For the first time in the CW show’s history, they are using the catalog from just one artist for the entire episode. This artist’s critically-acclaimed album which includes songs about damaged privileged youth and their toxic romances are perfectly suited for the show. Have any guesses? Find out below.
About a year ago, Tyrell wrote about the news that Jessica Szohr (best known for her role as Vanessa on Gossip Girl) had joined the cast of Love Bite. Since then, the trailer has come out and I believe it may have been released in some areas of the world earlier this summer, but the British romantic comedy horror film is only now just about to debut in the UK on November 9.
The film revolves around a mysterious Traveller girl (Jessica Szohr) named Juliana who is suspected of being a werewolf… that preys on virgin flesh. When people start to go missing, the main character Jamie is informed by a stranger that there is a werewolf in town and that he should beware. The only way to be safe seems to be to pop your cherry. Unfortunately for Jamie and his friends, they all have never had sex and all their talk was just that… talk and nothing more. Pretty soon, they’re all dying to get laid…
The film also stars Ed Speleers, Luke Pasqualino and Timothy Spall. Watch the trailer below.
