It’s no easy feat to stir more controversy than a joke aimed at Bill Cosby, but Margaret Cho managed to do exactly that. The 46-year-old comedian was introduced during the 72nd Golden Globes telecast as a new member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a North Korean army general by the name of Cho Yung Ja.

Her character took offense to the industry’s portrayal of her country and to Orange Is The New Black being categorized as a comedy. The latter is funny but not ‘ha ha funny,’ she commented.

Not surprisingly, some called her portrayal as a racist caricature while others defended it, citing free speech. Cho, who is Korean-American, has no regrets and responds to her polarizing comedic skit. Read it below.

How adorable do Adam Levine and Paul Rudd look in the photo above? If they weren’t straight and taken, they’d make such a cute couple.

When you hold a fancy shindig with plenty of celebrities attending, an ordinary photo booth just won’t do. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association enlisted famed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth to snap the night’s attendees. With hanging gold tinsel as a backdrop, presenters and winners alike showed off their goofy side for Von Unwerth. Check out my favorite photos from the 72nd Golden Globes photo booth below.

Having a hard time predicting which film will win big at the 72nd Golden Globes? When you fill out the ballot at the Golden Globes viewing party you’re attending tonight, keep this post in mind.

On Friday, the official Golden Globes website showed a winner for two categories- Best Picture Comedy/Musical and Best Picture Drama. A spokesperson quickly released a statement claiming the two movies shown as winners were picked at random by web developers running tests which were accidentally published live. Find out which films were ‘winners’ below.

“While testing the official website of the Golden Globe Awards for Sunday’s ceremony, Bluefin inadvertently took the test live,” explains a representative for the tech company. “We randomly selected two film titles with no knowledge of the category winners. We are solely responsible for the error.”

Nominations for The 72nd Golden Globe Awards were revealed earlier today at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Jeremy Piven, Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, and Paula Patton were on hand to announce those being honored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Leading the pack with seven nominations is Oscar frontrunner Birdman which received acting nods for Michael Keaton, Edward Norton and Emma Stone along with Best Director and Best Musical or Comedy. Coming in close behind with five nominations each were Boyhood and The Imitation Game. The Martin Luther King pic, Selma, rebounded after yesterday’s SAG snub by scoring multiple nominations.

Noticeably absent were Clint Eastwood’s Sniper and Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken. They walked away with nothing even though both have been in the mix during this awards season. Interstellar only received one nom, for Hans Zimmer’s score. Are the HFPA going legit and no longer the massive starf*ckers they once were?

Jennifer Aniston and Jake Gyllenhaal, once considered long shots in the acting categories, followed up their Screen Actors Guild honors with Globe nominations. Julianne Moore, who’s considered the one to beat for Best Actress, scored two acting nods- Still Alice and Map To The Stars. In a surprising twist, Quvenzhané Wallis got a mention for Annie. Who knew the HFPA were such fans of everyone’s favorite orphan?

On the television front, Fargo and True Detective led the way with five and four nominations respectively. One of my new favorite shows, Jane The Virgin, received some love for Best Actress In A Comedy and Best Comedy. Viola Davis also notched one for How To Get Away With Murder.

This year’s long list of snubs include Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, The Comeback and The Walking Dead. Perennial nominee Modern Family failed to score one for Best Comedy. The big names not to land an acting nod include The Normal Heart’s Julia Roberts, Scandal’s Kerry Washington and Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany.

The Golden Globe Awards will air on January 11, hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. Check out all the nominees below.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are back for a third time to host the Golden Globes. Hopefully, their stint doesn’t end as a trilogy and somehow NBC convinces them to sign on for more years. Not only is their turn well received by critics, but by viewers as well. Last year saw a 10-year high for the telecast.

The 2015 Golden Globes air live on January 11 on NBC. Kelsey Grammer’s daughter Greer Grammer was recently named Miss Golden Globe 2015 while George Clooney is this year’s recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

For the first promo, the comedic duo joke about what they’re wearing for the big night. Both spout out hilarious nonsensical fashion jargon complete with faux designer names. Check it out below.

Every year the Hollywood Foreign Press Association picks a spawn of Hollywood’s elite to assist on stage during the live ceremony. During the first event of the Golden Globes Awards season held at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood, Greer Grammer was named Miss Golden Globe 2015. She’s the daughter of Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer and Barrie Buckner. Kelsey dated Barrie after his first of three divorces. The 22-year-old was named after actress Greer Garson.

“I am flattered to have been chosen by the HFPA for this year’s Miss Golden Globe,” said an excited Greer. “It’s truly an honor to be included in this experience that so many incredible men and women have been a part of.”

Greer currently stars in the MTV series Awkward. She will next be seen in the upcoming An Evergreen Christmas with Naomi Judd and Robert Loggia which will be released this Christmas, and in the new season of ABC Family’s Melissa and Joey. The rising star also appeared in Life Partners with Leighton Meester and Adam Brody.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Monday that George Clooney will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2015 Golden Globes. Association president Theo Kingma cites Clooney’s achievements on both sides of the camera and his humanitarian efforts around the world as to why he was chosen. The award is given annually to an individual who’s made “an incredible impact on the world of entertainment.”

Previous honorees include Jodie Foster, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, and Steven Spielberg. Last year, Woody Allen won the prestigious prize but didn’t show up to accept the lifetime achievement award. Don’t expect the same thing to happen this year. You just know Clooney will be there looking fine with his future wife Amal Alamuddin along his side. At age 53, Clooney is one of the younger recipients, tying Robin Williams as the tenth youngest.

Clooney has two Oscars and four Golden Globes to his credit. The 72nd Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 11, 2015 and will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler once again. Do you think Clooney has done enough to earn the honor? Weigh in below.

Golden Globes Hit 10-Year Ratings High

In: Donovan, Movies, TV Shows

Bringing back Tina Fey and Amy Poehler proved a wise decision for NBC. The lethal comedic combo delivered a 10-year high in viewers, with 20.9 million, up from 19.7 million last year. With regards to the coveted 18-49 demo, it scored a 6.5 rating, up a tenth of a point from 2013 and its best mark since 2007.

Admittedly, I was a little worried Fey and Poehler wouldn’t be able to capture lightning in a bottle again, but they eased my concerns immediately with their hilarious opening monologue. That George Clooney Gravity dig was my favorite of the night. Speaking of digs, after Poehler won, Tina commented that there was a special place in hell for her co-host. Clearly that was directed at Taylor Swift. The country-pop singer took offense to a joke at last year’s Globes and took aim at Tina and Amy in a Vanity Fair interview.

Other memorable moments (good or bad) include Jacqueline Bisset’s slow-moving walk to the stage and following babbling speech, Poehler as Mr. Golden Globe, Emma Thompson barefoot and drinking on stage, all the Julia Louis-Dreyfus audience moments, and speeches by Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams and Matthew McConaughey. Rewatch the hilarious opening monologue and all the winners below.
