Glamour magazine’s Role Reversal series features actresses taking on classic roles originally portayed by men on the big screen. Each lady delivers a seminal monologue from the character they’re playing. Uzo Aduba takes on the iconic fava beans line from The Silence of the Lambs. Girlfriend does a mean Hannibal Lecter.

“In a time when women actors complain of the absence of meaty roles to sink their teeth into—and women make up only 30 percent of characters who even get to speak in top-grossing films—Glamour is proud to showcase some of this generation’s most talented young women taking on these memorable roles,” said Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leive. “Each one of these scenes is riveting in a new, wholly unique way—and Uzo Aduba makes an unforgettable Hannibal Lecter.”

Also participating in the series are Abigail Breslin and Julie Garner. Breslin channels Tyler Durden from Fight Club, while Garner takes on Daniel Plainview from There Will Be Blood. Check out all three monologues below.

For 25 years, Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards have celebrated women’s achievements. The event’s silver anniversary takes place on November 9 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Among the trailblazers and newsmakers being honored at the ceremony come from the world of entertainment, politics, fashion and business.

Reese Witherspoon is the publication’s December cover star. The 39-year-old actress opens up about her decision to play Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.

“I was debating whether to do Legally Blonde, and I saw this interview with Gloria Steinem about how important Goldie Hawn’s role in Private Benjamin was for women; by the end of the movie, the character socked her fiancé in the face at the altar because he didn’t understand who she’d become through her journey. I was like, ‘I feel like Gloria Steinem told me to do Legally Blonde. That’s how Elle Woods is too!’ She starts out thinking she’s gonna follow a man, but in the end she’s like, ‘I don’t need you.’” – Witherspoon to Glamour

It’s widely known that Harry Styles is a cougar chaser, but does his affinity towards more mature lovers also apply to silver foxes? The One Direction member was caught off guard when British GQ asked about rumors of a romance between UK television host Nick Grimshaw and himself. The 19-year-old singer responded, “Oh, really? I didn’t even know. We’re not dating, no. We’re just friends.” The publication probed even further and flat-out asked him if he was bisexual. Styles answered, “Bisexual? Me? I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure I’m not.”

Styles isn’t the only one opening up to British GQ, Liam, Zayn, Louis and Niall all get in on the action. The boys also receive their own cover for the publication’s September issue. I’m pretty sure these will be flying off the shelves across the pond.

Speaking of September, as anyone knows, it’s one of the, if not, the biggest month for magazines. Just watch Vogue’s fascinating documentary The September Issue to witness the drama and pressure of putting together the issue. It only makes sense editors-in-chief bring out the big guns. 1D isn’t only fronting British GQ in Aug/Sept, but also covering Glamour and Teen Vogue. They’re just not dominating music right now, but newsstands as well. Check out all the covers below.

Candid is one word I would definitely use to describe P!nk. The 33-year-old never holds back during her interviews. The “Try” singer is an open book for the June 2013 issue of Glamour Magazine. She shares with the publication the secrets of being the ultimate alpha girl. Based on her interview, that would include going on a date with an N Sync member and being a “reformed slut.”

Asked why many of the songs on her new record are about sex, such as “Slut Like You” and “Walk of Shame,” P!nk tells the mag, “I’m a reformed slut,” explaining, “It’s my very unsophisticated way of taking the power back.” Preach sister. Check out a few more memorable quotes below, along with the stunning editorial snapped by famed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth.

GQ tapped a few of television’s rising stars for their Spring Fashion Preview and now it’s Glamour magazine’s turn. The publication picked five crushworthy guys for their hot list featured in the February 2013 issue. In their opinion, this quintet is who “we’re all talking about.”

Included in the handful is Dan Stevens (above) whose been given the “PBS Crush” label. The Downtown Abbey actor reveals he’s not like his straight-laced Abbey character. “[He’s] a bit too straight down the line…. I hope I differ from him in that sense,” he tells Glamour.

Rounding out their “hot” five are Hollywood legend Gregory Peck’s grandson Ethan Peck, NFL player Victor Cruz, Saturday Night Live’s funnyman Taran Killam and new CW hottie Austin Butler from The Carrie Diaries. Check out each guy’s photo below along with a quote from their feature in Glamour.

Jordin Sparks Cozies Up To Jason Derulo For Glamour

In: Donovan, Music

Jordin Sparks is absolutely beaming in her spread for the February 2013 issue of Glamour magazine. Must be the fact she’s in love. She definitely has the glow about her. The American Idol Season 6 winner brought along her boyfriend Jason Derulo to show off the hottest date night beauty looks. The Sparkle actress cozies up with her beau for photographer Patric Shaw. They could possibly be the cutest celebrity couple around.

Loving Jordin’s hair in the editorial. It’s big, playful and untamed. I’m not alone in diggin’ her hairstyle. Derulo does as well. “She transforms herself with it,” he tells the publication. “I give her names for the people she becomes. When her hair is in a bun, I call her Simone. When it’s curly, I call her Chiquita.” Derulo goes on to share other traits he loves about her, along with opening up about their first dates. Check out more photos from their adorable photo shoot below.
