One of my favorite movies of 2012 was most certainly Pitch Perfect, starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. The comedy had so many great lines and just as much great music that it was hard not to fall in love with it.
For a competition for Virgin Radio that is going on here in Vancouver, Homorazzi’s friends Ryan Steele and Amy Goodmurphy submitted a video with their take on a 60-second version of the film. The video even stars Homorazzi’s Nic as the love interest, along with several other familiar faces from Ryan Steele’s hilarious YouTube videos.
Watch the video below and vote for them via the link provided underneath to help support this crazy funny and hard-working comedy duo so they have a chance of winning the $10,000 grand prize!
How can you tell RuPaul’s Drag Race is starting up today? New releases from former and current contestants!
The Drag trio of Willam, Detox and Vicky Vox have released the follow up to their MASSIVE hit Chow Down (at Chick-fil-a), a hilarious parody of Alicia Keys’ “Girl On Fire” song called, “Boy Is A Bottom“. I have to tell you these three have it. They are all funny, don’t take themselves too seriously, and can all pretty much sing. I have to give major props to Vicky on this one, in the “Chow Down” video we didn’t get to see much of her and she pretty much steals the video in this one.
And don’t forgot to watch Drag Race tonight on Logo (in the US) and OUTtv (in Canada) at 9pm, then tomorrow check back for my full review where I cut these bitches down! Enjoy the video below!
In a new parody by Eliot Glazer, Oprah Winfrey attempts to draw in new viewers to her fledgling network, OWN, by reenacting classic viral videos in the hope of reaching a new audience.
Some examples of the trends the faux Oprah Winfrey (and her faux sidekick Gayle King) take on include: Shit Oprah Says, Leave Oprah Alone, Planking, and many more. One of my favorite one was Oprah’s take on Flash Mobs. I don’t even want to give away what she does, but it’s perfect.
This is the first video in a new series called Eliot’s Sketch Pad. Can’t wait to see what the comedian comes up with next. Enjoy the video below!
A few days ago, the DC Gay Flag Football league did a parody of Gangnam Style, complete choreography, sexy guys, and their own modified lyrics. I hadn’t got around to sharing with you yet, but since Madonna just surprised fans at her New York concert with a performance with Psy, I thought why not kill two birds with one stone. Besides, Madonna + Gay Parody seems to go together anyway.
In Madonna’s performance of “Gangnam Style” with Psy, she does all the choreography with him and gets really into it, even getting down on her hangs & knees for Psy to faux ride her, as the choreography warrants. They even reversed it, with Madonna riding Psy as well!
Yes, I know… “Gangnam Style” just keeps happening everywhere and with Glee taking it on in an episode later this month, it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down any time soon. Check out the videos below.
YouTube funny man Josh Rimer has been bringing the comedy on the viral video site for a while now. Whether it be music video parodies or hilarious shorts, Josh is sure to put a smile on your face and a giggle in the belly. For his latest music video parody, Josh asked if I would jump on board to play his hook up and I couldn’t resist.
This time around, Josh chose Chris Brown’s current dancefloor single, Don’t Wake Me Up to parody with his own rendition of a hook up from the bar called terribly wrong. May I introduce you to, Can’t Get It Up. Once Josh gets me into his apartment, he leaves to freshen up but soon reveals that he’s having a little problem down below. Will he choose to tell me? Will we get together in the end? You’ll have to watch to find out. Check out his latest video parody and share your comments below.
I grew up watching the ‘Golden Girls‘ and if you are/were a fan of the Emmy Award-winning show, you will love the video you’re about to watch.
What happens when four superhero friends retire and move to Miami to share a ranch style home? The following video. Someone remade the Golden Girls intro into a cartoon and replaced all of the characters with superheros. In the video, we have Batman as the grumpy Dorothy, Robin as the outspoken Sophia, Aquaman as naive Rose, and Superman as the slutty Blanche.
The creator of the video writes, “This is a pilot I’d like to propose to Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, if I knew anyone who worked there, and if all the licenses could be obtained.” Can you imagine? I would totally watch this cartoon. The part in the intro where Blanche/Superman does the sway walk down the hall is my favorite. I’ve included both the parody and the original intro should you want to compare for accuracy.
You remember the film ‘No Strings Attached,’ starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman, right? To be totally honest, I never actually watched the movie but I did see the trailer, and that’s all that is necessary to appreciate the following parody.
A group of guys decided to remake the trailer, but instead of a “no strings attached” relationship with a guy and a girl, it’s an unlikely gay relationship. They pretty much reenact the trailer exactly, as evident by the screen shots of both opening scenes in the trailers. In the gay version, “Mikiech and Keith try to keep their relationship strictly physical, but it’s not long before they learn that they want something more.”
Watch the trailer parody below. This movie I’d actually be interested in seeing! LOL.
Back in May, Patrick introduced us to a few straight boys who created a lip dub video to Carly Rey Jepsen’s smash #1 hit, “Call Me Maybe.” The video gained some serious viral hits with their homoerotic tendencies. However, they did get a lot of flack for not really knowing the words. Come on boys, even my grandma knows the words to that catchy hook. Now, they’re back with “Brokebackhearted.”
Singing along to “Brokenhearted” by Karmin, the boys are up to their typical homoerotic nature, taking off their shirts, dancing around and teasing the audience with just enough to keep us watching. Unlike their last video, the boys studied up on the lyrics and choreographed some more dance moves to up the anti. Overall, it’s a hilarious video and a great song for the summer. Check it out below.
