I’m a little surprised that Gavin DeGraw and his team are only releasing a music video for “Soldier” now. The track initially gained some traction earlier in the year when it was used in the final episode of One Tree Hill. You’d think that would’ve been an opportune time to promote the single. Oh well, whatever the reason, it’s here now.

Directed by Carl Diebold, the inspiring video highlights everyday heroes making a difference. Diebold and DeGraw’s goal is to hopefully remind people that simple acts of kindness can make a huge difference and make for a better society. Personally, I love reading each person’s story and their “good deed”. The clip ends with everyone congregating at a bridge holding candles.

“We wanted the performance parts of this video to be as powerful as the individual stories we were telling, says Diebold. “The combination of the piano, the searchlights, the 500 extras, the Nashville skyline, and ultimately the downpour of rain really brought a depth to this video that I am really proud of.”

Filmed in Nashville, the “Soldier” music video takes advantage of the city’s locations and skyline. A few segments were even filmed at Gavin and Joey DeGraw’s National Underground bar in the city. Check out the clip below.

Last night, the ballroom invited a full piece orchestra to join them for Classical Week. Filled Waltzes, Tangos and more, the couples performed to some old classics and some modern tunes re-modeled to fit the classical mould. But that wasn’t all. The two highest scoring couples so far picked teams schoolyard style for the Team Dance Challenge. These scores were then added to the individual couples’ scores for a final total. Last night found Derek & Maria on top after scoring a perfect 30 on their Paso Doble and Melissa & Maks fell to the bottom of the leader board. Let’s get to the night’s first set of results before a night filled with filler galore takes over our TV:

  • William & Cheryl: SAFE
  • Donald & Peta: SAFE
  • Katherine & Mark: SAFE

That leaves only four more couples to receive their fate. Who will be in tonight’s bottom two and have to dance in tonight’s Rumba Dance Duel? Find out below.

Another Tuesday, another elimination on Dancing With The Stars. Last, the ballroom was shocked when crowd (and judge) favorite Sherri Shepherd was shockingly eliminated. We’re down to nine couples and tonight, another will be heading home. However, tonight, there is a little bit of twist when it comes to who will be sent packing. Tonight’s elimination all comes down to a dance duel. The bottom two couples will battle it out side-by-side to the same song in a fight to the finish Cha Cha. The judges will critique them on this dance alone and one at a time, decide which couple they would like to save and have continue on to the next round.

It’s going to be an exciting night in the ballroom which will also include performances from Train, Selena Gomez and this week’s Macy Stars of Dance performance – a tribute to Latin Dance featuring the percussion of Sheila E. The night kicks off with an encore performance of Maria & Derek’s Samba from last night. Find out which couple got eliminated and watch all of the evening’s performances below.

We are only 8 episodes in but already, we have reached the halfway mark on Season 14 of Dancing With The Stars. It’s hard to believe that only nine stars remain in the competition. Last week, we bid a very sad farewell to the crowd pleasing and always entertaining, Sherri Shepherd. To be honest, I still cannot believe she went home. Tonight, the ballroom will be muy caliente because tonight, it’s Latin night!

I have to say, the sexy William Levy should feel right at home tonight with a song like “Buttons” by the Pussycat Dolls, he better be taking it all off. Tonight, the episode brought out some stellar performances from Maria Menounos and Katherine Jenkins – no surprise there really. And once again, Gladys Knight and Gavin Degraw failed to impress. Check out the evening’s performances including the judges scores below.

This morning, I was brought alert by a tweet from co-host Tom Bergeron of Dancing With The Stars when he said that the votes had been flip flopping all night long and tonight would be one of those shocking eliminations. Publicity or the truth? You’ll have to find out. Unfortunately, Rock Week continues and the show is opened once again by KISS. Thankfully, the pros brought their performance of Lick It Up to life.

Right after the opening performance, we were introduced to our first couples to face elimination: Gavin Degraw & Karina Smirnoff and Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovskiy. But, Melissa is noticeably absent from the episode. After last night’s performance, Melissa felt dizzy after bumping her head on the floor and was rushed to the ER. Her doctor advised her to take the night off after suffering a concussion. It is still undetermined if she will be returning at this point. Yikes! Check out KISS’ opener, Melissa’s ER trip plus the shocking elimination below.

It’s Rock Week on this Monday’s episode of Dancing With The Stars. This week, the stars and their pros will be trying to headbang their way to the top of the leaderboard. I have to admit thought, Rock Week is usually my least favorite of all the theme weeks and this season, it proved me right once again. I wish they would just allow the pairs to dance out the tango and paso doble the traditional way. I feel like the rock music takes away from the potential that the dances could have without all the flare.

However, the night did pack a lot of punch including the opener courtesy of KISS and the sexy DWTS Troupe. Following that, one of my absolutely favorites in this season’s competition – Sherri Sheppard got the evening kicked off. It looked like things were going well in rehearsals, the judges weren’t too impressed with her performance. Others that seemed to fall short were William Levy and Gladys Knight.

The surprise of the night for me was Donald Driver’s Paso Doble scoring his triple nines which would in turn be the highest score of the night. Not far behind him are Roshon Fegan and Maria Menounos who, despite a broken foot, toughed it out on the dance floor and made it seem like nothing was wrong. Just focus on those beautiful eyes of Derek’s girl and you’ll sail through anything. Check out the night’s performances and judges scores below plus my prediction on who’s going home.

Another week, another elimination on Dancing With The Stars. Last week, we bid farewell to tennis pro Martina Navratilova after she blanked during her routine. After a night of extremely great dances and personal stories, the ballroom hit an all time high when a five way tie took place and no one scored lower than an 8.

Aside from the actual elimination which could be completed in let’s be honest – a half hour, we are treated to a performances galore to fill the one hour time slot. This week, Seal kicks off the show with a mediocre cover of “Lean On Me” and the Rascal Flatts make the network television debut of their single “Changed“. But, the ultimate thrill will be tonight’s Macy’s Stars of Dance performance featuring some of the dance industry’s most in-demand dancers. Oh right, and someone get’s eliminated. Who will it be? Find out below!

Tonight, we return to the ballroom for another night of dancing on Dancing With The Stars. Last week, tennis pro Martina Navratilova was “grand slammed” out of the competition after blanking on her routine on the dance floor. This also meant we had to say farewell to her hottie partner, Tony Dovolani. Thankfully, there is enough William Levy to go around right now. I digress. Let’s get back to tonight’s show.

The theme of tonight’s episode was to tell personal stories through the dances. The styles of dance ranged from Rumba and Samba to Jive and Foxtrot. While some of the stories made us smile, there were stories from Jaleel White and Katherine Jenkins that made us pull out the Kleenex to dab the tears away. If there is one thing I’ve noticed this season, it’s that the competition if fiercer than ever. We are in week three of dancing and already, no one is scoring lower than an 8. That’s pretty impressive. Relive all of the evening’s dances below and share your comments and thoughts on the stars in the comment section. I love to hear them!
