In: Donovan, Fashion

I first stumbled upon Roberto Bolle last year when he did a spread for Vanity Fair Italia. The ballet dancer impressed me so much, I featured him in my Man Crush series. The 38-year-old Italian dancer returns for another eye-catching editorial but this time for Vogue Japan.

Photographer Giampaolo Sgura snaps the American Ballet Theatre principal dancer for a photo story titled, “The Night the Dancer Sparkled.” Check out the stunning black and white pics below.

Not many people, especially men, can pull off mesh. Martin Mruskovic, however, is the exception to that rule. The Bratislavan stud smolders in a spread for Kaltblut magazine featuring pieces from Nike, adidas, Religion and Dolce & Gabbana to name a few. Check out more pictures from the German publication below which were snapped by photographer The W.

mert-alas-interview-magazine

Prolific fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott snapped a titillating spread titled “American Hustle” for Interview magazine. Don’t get it twisted. This “American Hustle” isn’t the David O’Russell grifter flick but rather the hustlers of the Santa Monica Blvd variety.

The duo crafted a gigolo narrative for a provocative editorial for the publication’s March 2014 issue. Male supermodels Chad White, Jamie Wise, Veit Couturierrand Brian Shimansky channel their inner hooker for the creative lenses of Alas & Piggott. Check out more images below.

jon-magazine-cover

JON magazine has outdone themselves for their third issue. The UK publication’s editorial featuring model Frankie C. is beyond. This dude is scorching hot and will definitely be featured in my Model Behavior series in the near future. Photographer Scott Teitler captured the 6’2″ stud in a stunning black and white shoot.

It’s one of many features from the issue that “embodies the power of the 90s.” Additional shoots from B. Charles Johnson, Bell Soto, Brandon Matthew, Pip, Idris + Tony, Daniel Rodriguez, Sati + Pratha, Specular, Sean P. Watters and more appear in the magazine.

My favorite photos from Frankie’s shoot include him holding a zebra-inspired towel and where he’s dressed as a sexy gladiator. Check out the Teitler-snapped spread below. For more info about the issue, click on the link at the end of the post.

lupita-nyong-o-dazed-and-confused

I just absolutely adore this woman. There’s something so regal and sweet about Lupita Nyong’o. As much as I love Jennifer Lawrence, the Kenyan actress deserved a Golden Globes statue for her stunning work in 12 Years A Slave over Lawrence. Don’t you agree?

In the past week alone, the gorgeous actress has appeared in Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 ad campaign and graced the cover W magazine. Consistently on the red carpet this awards season, she’s never had a fashion misstep. Nyong’o has quickly become the fashion industry’s darling. Her latest stylish notch is scoring the February cover of Dazed & Confused’s “Girls Rule The World” issue. Check out Lupita’s pics below which were shot by Sharif Hamza and styled by Robbie Spencer.

On Modeling Her 12 Years Character After Michael Jackson

“There’s something very Michael Jackson-like about Patsey – the childlike quality he always had. She had her childhood stripped away from her suddenly as soon as she became of sexual age.”

Douglas Booth made a splash in the UK playing Boy George in the television film, Worried About the Boy. The 21-year-old actor has yet to have that big breakthrough in North America, but I have a feeling that’ll change this year. He has three films scheduled in 2014 including Jupiter Ascending with Channing Tatum and Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic, Noah. Booth appears in an editorial snapped by Nick Haddow for Rollacoaster magazine. Check out the pics below, along with a few quotes from the accompanying interview.

On Noah Director Darren Aronofsky

“I didn’t feel intimidated by him at all. It’s good not to give a shit about how you look. I feel intimidated by not-so-good filmmakers. He’s really respectable to his actors, but he wants you to go as far a possible.”

Tyler Maher Is A Caribbean King For ODDA

In: Donovan, Fashion
tyler-maher-odda

As I was putting the ‘related stories’ for this post, I noticed that even though I’ve shared a few editorials featuring Tyler Maher, I haven’t dedicated a Model Behavior post to him. That’s a problem I intend on remedying in the near future.

In the meantime, check out this sizzling fashion spread for ODDA magazine titled “Caribbean King.” Photographer Juan Martin snaps Maher looking all hot and relaxed at some sunny locale. A male model’s life is sooooo hard ;) If you like what you see, click on the link at the end of the post to see more from the publication’s Issue #5.

ollie-edwards-bite-me

I first featured Ollie Edwards a couple of years ago while traveling in Europe. Since then, I’ve been a fan of the British supermodel. His stomach scar is beyond sexy.

ADON taps Edwards for a fun fashion editorial titled “Bite Me” for their anniversary issue. Photographer Joseph Sinclair shot the stunner in pieces by Marc Jacobs, Duckie Brown, Dirk Bikkembergs, Vivienne Westwood, Horace, Religion and more. The Betty Boop top in the next picture is everything. Me want now!!! Check it out below along with more pics.
