As much as I love Summer, I actually do love Fall as well. The sweaters, the boots, the scarves & jackets make it fun to dress up and don’t forget about layering. Have fun with this season’s rich green, navy and burgundy tones.

We’ve all worn scarves but if you’re like me, I really didn’t have a clue that there were so many ways to wear it. I really only know the knot, the double loop and the drape. As winter sets in, keeping that pesky windchill away will require a nice cozy scarf.

I’ve noticed the temperature has dropped in the last week with the mornings & evenings being much cooler. So what trends do Fall / Winter 2011 have in store? Men’s fashion is mix between classic well dressed and tailored with function mixing slim and relaxed silhouettes. For women, it’s a lot of retro silhouettes mixed with the outdoorsy styles.

It’s just around the corner and I don’t quite know what to expect it being my first Fall Winter in Toronto but there’s one thing I’m excited about is layering. My first Summer in Toronto was definitely an amazing one for the books. So believe it or not I’m kind of welcoming the cooler temperatures of Fall.

Come Winter, I tend to gravitate to a more monochromatic palette on the black side. I love warm wool basic gray sweaters over a neon tee for a tiny burst of color over dark raw denim and basic black boots. Classic, clean lines with a youthful twist. I normally tend to go for clothing that has no visible branding and if I can’t avoid it… I go for one that is branded tone-on-tone.
