Madonna has taped a full episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, that airs on October 29, but a four-minute clip has been released and I’ve included it below. From what I’ve seen in the clip, as well as some other pictures on the web from the episode, it looks like these two have a lot of fun. Definitely can’t wait until the whole thing airs!
In the clip you’re about to watch, Madonna and Ellen wear the famous “Vogue” corsets (as shown above) designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for the MDNA Tour. Ellen then invites Madonna’s 12-year old son Rocco out and asks him a few questions like if Madonna is a strict mother. Madonna points out that Ellen and Madonna are distant relatives, but Rocco is not amused. He certainly picked up his confidence from his mother!
To raise money for breast cancer research, Rocco is sent to the dunk tank where Madonna has to throw balls at the target in order to get him wet. Find out how she did below.
With Spirit Day coming this Friday, October 19 , I thought it would be great to share this story which is one of many stories that reminds us of how important it is to keep speaking out against bullying. Spirt Day is when millions of Americans wear purple to speak out against bullying and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. Although not a member of the LGBT, Amanda Todd‘s story was a heartbreaking example of how bullying can ultimately destroy lives.
As part of a new film project, in the following video, a transgender girl named Ali who just graduated from high school in Arkansas shares her story of growing up, the struggles, and how she found inspiration from Ellen DeGeneres.”All I’m doing is just doing what I view as what a girl would do, and they don’t like that.” She goes on to explain how she doesn’t understand how people go out of their way to be cruel: “I don’t understand why they feel the need to make someone’s life a living hell just when they don’t like it, why they feel the need to get involved in everyone’s business when it doesn’t pertain to them. I’m just another person in school.”
Ali says she’s inspired by Ellen because “she’s a strong and confident woman, and she’s out and proud about who she is and she doesn’t care if people like it or not.” Thank you for sharing your story, Ali! Watch the video below.
Ever wonder what Ellen DeGeneres looks like in a dress? Well, wonder no more. Usually, Ellen’s other half Portia de Rossi is decked out in a floor length gown. We’re so used to seeing the daytime talk show host in pants, vests, sneakers and blazers that picturing her in anything else, let alone a prom dress and heels, is unimaginable. Check out a high school picture of her taken circa 1976. She sorta resembles a young Jodie Foster, especially with that hairdo. Speaking of hairstyles, check out the one on her hot prom date. WOOF. He’s kinda sexy. I wonder what he looks like today.
“Here I go, here I go, her I go again. Girls what’s my weakness?” Rebel Wilson and Zac Efron (for different reasons). This week, they both were on an episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show for some must-see daytime TV.
I seriously can’t seem to get enough of Rebel Wilson. Yesterday, I wrote about her and her Anna Kendrick‘s hilarious interviews with each other (definitely check it out). On today’s episode, Rebel and Ellen rapped to “Shoop” by Salt-N-Pepa, before actually sitting down and chatting. Love it!
If that wasn’t reason enough to watch this episode, Zac Efron talks about dating, going shirtless, and dancing in his underwear. They also talk about his role in The Paperboy, bungee jumping, sky diving, and more.
Another video campaign called Vote4Stuff enlists the help of some big name celebrities to encourage young people to vote. This is not to be confused with the Rock The Vote video campaign I posted about last week.
“This is one of the most important elections of our lifetime. We are using the power of social media throughout the Vote 4 Stuff campaign to incite bi-partisan conversation around real issues, encourage registration and voting in November,” said Leonardo DiCaprio in a statement.
There are so many good people in this video, and some funny ones too. Jonah Hill says, “You guys, ‘Rock The Vote’. This isn’t Rock The Vote?’ Where is Rihanna!“. Towards the end of the video, Hill then says to the camera, “And if you’re Rihanna, remember…you can get under my um-ber-ella.” LOL. I love him.
Celebrities in this video include: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Jonah Hill, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zac Efron, Benicio Del Toro, Edward Norton, Ellen Degeneres, Selena Gomez, Sarah Silverman, Amanda Seyfried and Appian Way. Enjoy the video below and be sure to vote.
In yesterday’s episode, Ellen got Amy Poehler to join her in a game of Karaoke Roulette. As you know, karaoke can be hard enough even with the lyrics, but Karoake Roulette makes it that much harder because there are no lyrics shown to you and you also don’t know what song you’re going to get until the music stars. Well, at least that’s the way Poehler wanted to play it.
The song Poehler got was “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga and the lyrics she dished out were absolutely hilarious. “Gloves, gloves, gloves… I want your gloves,” she sang. Enjoy the video below to see why (as evident by the photo above) they had such a riot. PS. So happy that Parks & Recreation is back on now (as of Thursday night!
Promoting her new Kiss album that just came out, Carly Rae Jepsen was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to chat with Ellen about her new music and life-changing year. Before I get to that, I want to talk about her album. It’s so good and I highly recommend it. I am going to go on the record and say that it’s my favorite album of the year so far.
Jepsen performed her new single, “This Kiss” live on the show and it was amazing! She also sat down with Ellen and talked about how her life has changed and what it’s like having so many remakes of her hit song, “Call Me Maybe“.
Towards the end of the interview, Ellen surprises Carly with a gift that is something you’d be surprised to know she didn’t already have. Enjoy the segment below!
On Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the infamous X-Factor judges Simon Cowell and Britney Spears stopped by to promote the show.
In the following clip, Ellen asks Britney about how she had tweeted about wanting to learn the ‘Gangnam Style’ dance. Ellen then surprised Britney and said she had someone here that was going to teach her. Who you ask? None other than Psy himself! Britney was completely shocked but then was totally game to learn the dance with Psy and Ellen. “Dress classy and dance cheesy,” said Psy about the dance. Britney looked hot, but while dancing she reminded me of a fembot from back when she was in Austin Powers. Luckily, her head didn’t explode this time.
Love Britney. Love Psy. Love Ellen. What a combination! Check out the awesome clip below and be sure to tune in on Tuesday (today) to watch the whole segment!
