Earlier this week, the hilarious and talented Emma Stone stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about her new movie, Gangster Squad and more. Shortly after bugging her resident DJ, Tony Victor Okungbowa about his secret relationship and then talking about the People’s Choice Award she had won the night prior, Ellen introduced Emma Stone to the stage.
Emma Stone talked about her 1940s accent for her Gangster Squad role, and what it originally sounded like before the director gave her a thumbs down. They also talk about Andrew Garfield, kissing Ryan Gosling, and more. There’s also a funny story about when Ellen DeGeneres went up to Emma Stone and Cameron Crowe‘s table at a restaurant one day (before Emma had ever met her) and what she said.
Watch a couple clips from the interview or watch the entire episode below. I recommend the latter – such a funny episode!
On today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, reality star, business woman, and upcoming talk show host Bethenny Frankel talked to Ellen about her divorce, which was only announced a couple days ago. The star is getting divorced from her husband Jason Hoppy after three years of marriage and the couple share a two-year old daughter named Bryn.
Frankel got emotional very early into the interview, her emotions still very raw from what is currently going on in her life. “I feel like a bit of a disappointment to all of you, and I feel like a failure,” Frankel said explaining that she “really put it out there” on her various reality shows, that you can have the fairytale life and believe in love, etc. Ellen asked her why decided to push through and do the interview on the show anyway, as it had been planned before news of the divorce came out. “I can’t just only be on reality TV and show everything when it’s the fairy princess fairytale and then not take my hits when I have to.”
The interview is actually very touching and genuine and I definitely feel for her. I couldn’t imagine how painful of a time it must be for her right now. The two ladies later joke about how Bethenny Frankel’s upcoming talk show will just be about how awful things are for her: “The Bethenny Show… it’s a crappy day every day,” Frankel joked the slogan would be. Watch the interview below.
A week after the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, two videos from very opposing camps hit the internet. First you have celebrities asking in a PSA, “How many more colleges? How many more classrooms? How many more movie theaters? How many more house of faith? How many more shopping malls? How many more street corners?” Demand A Plan is a grassroots initiative to mobilize Americans to DEMAND a plan to end gun violence from Congress and President Obama. Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce, Michelle Williams, Selena Gomez, John Hamm, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and many, many more lend their voices to the PSA.
Coincidentally on the same day, National Rifle Association president Wayne LaPierre, held a live press conference. LaPierre claims the media is to blame for the shootings and not guns. He explains that the entertainment industry makes “the filthiest form of pornography,” citing violent music videos and films Natural Born Killers and American Psycho. He further goes on to say that “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” His most controversial comment that has celebrities on Twitter in a tizzy is his claim that had armed guards been at Sandy Hook, innocent lives would’ve been spared that day. Check out both vids below.
The One Million Moms are at it again, setting an awful example for their children and demonstrating the opposite of what the holiday season is all about. The group is once again bullying Ellen DeGeneres by threatening a boycott of JC Penney simply for having her in the ads. So ridiculous. I applaud JC Penney for sticking with Ellen every step of the way.
This is what the One Million
Moms Bullies had to say about the commercial on their site: “CP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again,’ the group states on its website. ‘Christians must now vote with their wallets. We have contacted JC Penney’s several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen. They have decided to ignore our complaints so we will avoid them at all costs.’
Ellen has stood up for herself already, making an amazing statement on her show about all of this hogwash when if first started in early 2012. I don’t think she has to say anything more. Check out the cute & funny commercial below and feel free to do some of your holiday shopping at JC Penney!
The infamous Grease duo, Olivia Newton-John & John Travolta have reunited to release a Christmas album together titled, This Christmas and today they’ve just released the music video for one of the songs: “I Think You Might Like It.”
In the video, Travolta flies his plane home for Christmas where he is reunited with Olivia Newton-John, who drove to meet him in a convertible packed with presents. The two do a little line dancing throughout the video in black outfits, which feels like an homage to the outfits they wore in final scenes in Grease. Aside from John & Olivia, we also see clips of other families reuniting for the holidays, including some soldiers returning home as well.
In the final clip of the video, the two drive off in the convertible, with one last wave from Olivia. This is of course an homage to the final scene in Grease when Danny & Sandy drive off in the flying car.
Oh, along with the release of the music video, John and Oliva sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on her show today. Enjoy the cute (and cheesy) Christmas music video, as well as their segment on Ellen below.
On today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen opened up the show by talking about a study gaydar, if it’s actually real, the statistical accuracy, etc. Her take on the fact that there is actually a study on this was hilarious. “You may have noticed your gaydar was going off as soon as you walked into the studio…please keep it on silent during the show,” joked Ellen.
According to the study, gaydar is only 60% accurate. Ellen thought money spent on the study was coo-coo. “This is ridiculous, why do we need a gaydar, we have TMZ to tell us who’s gay,” she said. “I don’t like to label people. The only thing I label is my lunch in the refrigerator here at work and I write ‘Lesbian’ on it, that way everybody knows…”
Later, Ellen chatted with Rihanna about her sexy, naked GQ Magazine pictures, dating and kids, and she even had Rihanna play a game of “Who’d You Rather?” Ellen had Rihanna laughing a lot throughout the episode – especially when she started talking to “her” vagina. Watch some of the aforementioned highlights below.
One of the sketches had Kate McKinnon as talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Hathaway as her guest, Katie Holmes. Before “Ellen” brought her guest out, she did a little dancing (more than her body could handle), a little pranking, and even cut to her favorite little girls, Sophia Grace and Rosie (played by two other SNL cast mates). McKinnon’s impersonation of Ellen was so bang on and Hathaway pretty much nailed Katie’s speech and facial expressions, which she’s done before on SNL.
In another sketch, Hathaway parodied actress Claire Danes in a hilarious Homeland sketch of Danes’ kookie character. Check out the funny ‘Ellen Show’ parody below.
No, it’s not what you think. Ellen DeGeneres doesn’t actually do the deed herself to Miley Cyrus. Though, I’m sure if wifey Portia de Rossi wasn’t in the picture, I’m certain she would. Instead, DeGeneres brings on two beefy guys under the guise of electrical workers to tear their clothes off for the former Hannah Montana star’s impromptu bachelorette party. Miley really gets into it, slapping the guys’ butts and throwing money at them. The clip is from Ellen’s show on Thursday November 8.
Before the male strippers appeared, Miley chatted about her upcoming wedding to her Hunger Games fiancee, Liam Hemsworth. She talked about focusing more on her new album, than diving into all the arduous planning involved with the nuptials.
“Like, I don’t care what color the napkins are, to be honest,” she continued. “I really don’t care. So, it’s a lot of weird detail. I don’t want to be doing too much and be crazy and forget about the moment of it all.” – Miley Cyrus
The 19-year-old discusses her new haircut which caused a major buzz on the internet when she tweeted a pic. Responding to all the haters who hated her short cropped hair, she jokes it’s more eco-friendly as she uses less water to wash her hair. Check out both clips below. PS. The blond stripper is kinda hot and definitely worth checking out.
