The first two San Andreas trailers featured a cover of “California Dreamin‘” in the background. Initially, people thought that version was recorded by Lana Del Rey. Rather, Robot Koch & Delhia de France were responsible for the haunting cover.
For the latest trailer, a new rendition of the Mamas and the Papas tune appears. The one and only Sia puts her spin on the 60s classic for the film soundtrack. I understand why producers enlisted the Aussie singer. Everything she touches these days turns into gold. Plus, she’s a bigger name
Based on the short snippets, both slow-downed versions share the same eerie emotional quality. I’ll wait until I hear the entire thing to pass full judgement. Preview’s Sia’s recording below and listen to Robot Koch & Delhia de France’s full version as well.
When one thinks of musicals, the wrestler turned actor isn’t the first name that comes to mind. Maybe it will after you check him out in his new gig.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson signed on the dotted line this week to play the male lead in an upcoming Disney musical. Care to make any guesses on what part in what film? Frozen 2 perhaps? Find out below.
While the idea of turning the beloved animated Bambi into a live-action film seems absolutely ridiculous, it’s actually not that far-fetched. At Disney’s current pace of producing live-action versions of their classics, this could become a reality in a few years. Though, it’ll have a hard time living up to this epic Saturday Night Live treatment.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson transforms everyone’s favorite deer into a gun-slinging bad ass vigilante. Along with his furry friends, he bursts into a hunting lodge and open fires on hunters who kill for sport.
Cecily Strong plays Michelle Rodriguez, while Jay Pharoah and Taran Killam imitate Tyrese Gibson and Vin Diesel in the hilarious sketch. Find out which furry characters they play below.
One of the most popular segments on The Tonight Show feature the guests squaring off against Jimmy Fallon in a lip sync battle. Fallon takes his dog and pony show over to Spike TV for a brand new series hosted by LL Cool J and supermodel Crissy Teigen. Think RuPaul’s Drag Race Lip Sync For Your Life but with no drag queens.
Lip Sync Battle (catchy title LOL) will pit two celebrities performing two songs per episode. The audience ultimately picks the winner.
The network just dropped a brand new star-studded trailer featuring The Rock performing Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” Stephen Merchant channeling his inner “Dirrty” and Anna Kendrick tackling Jennifer Lopez’s “Booty.”
To sway votes her way, the Pitch Perfect actress brings out J. Lo for a surprise cameo. Kendrick’s opponent, John Krasinksi, has something special up his sleeves for a rebuttal. Find out below. Lip Sync Battle commences on April 2 on Spike TV.
The Summer blockbuster season is all about movies with breathtaking action scenes and eye-popping visual effects trying to make up for a mindless plot. San Andreas certainly fits that bill. I love me a big budget disaster film so I’m definitely looking forward to this film. Plus, it features Kylie Minogue and Colton Haynes in minor roles.
After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter.
But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.
The scene where The Rock is on a boat navigating a huge tsunami as the Golden Gate Bridge is about to be crushed looks sensational. This is going to be sick on a huge IMAX screen. Check out the new riveting trailer below. It’s going to be a fun and exciting ride. San Andreas hits theaters on May 29, 2015.
On a side note, is it me or is the San Andreas official poster a bit reminiscent of the artwork for The Dark Knight Rises and Star Trek Into Darkness? Weigh in below.
Move over Jude Law, Channing Tatum has his sights set on a new man. Back in January, People’s reigning Sexiest Man Alive revealed that his Side Effects co-star got him all hot and bothered. “I’m getting kind of sweaty thinking about it,” he told ET. “He’s a mesmerizing dude.” Here I thought, Jude only attracted nannies ;)
When Law heard of Tatum’s affections, he blushed but thought he was joking and didn’t believe it. Perhaps he was side stepping the issue because Jude has an entirely different man crush of his own. Law revealed, “It has to be Downey [Robert Downey Jr.]! Has to be! Only because he’d be devastated if I said anyone else!” Obviously heartbroken with his unrequited love (wink), Channing quickly moved on and found another Hollywood actor to crush on. Find out who below.
The second I saw paparazzi pics of Mark Whalberg in his undies while filming Pain & Gain, I knew I had to check out this film. The 41-year-old actor reportedly spent two months intensively training before shooting. Job well done. Clearly, I’m not the only one impressed with Wahlberg’s new buff physique. Director Michael Bay who directed the flick, hired him again. This time to take over the Transformers franchise.
Besides the allure of Mark all beefed up, the film also stars the hilarious duo of Ken Jeong and Rebel Wilson. Adding even more muscle is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In the film, Wahlberg and The Rock play Miami bodybuilders who get involved with extortion, kidnapping, and murder. Believe it or not, the film is based on real life events. In fact, Mark’s character received a death sentence and currently sits on Florida’s death row. Check out the upcoming action comedy’s first trailer below.
2012 is looking like it’s going to be the Year of the Action Film. With some many major titled hitting the silver screen after we drop the ball on New Year’s, it’s going to be hard to keep track and see them all. The latest film hitting the 2012 action blockbuster scene is G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Thanks to the kind people at Machinima, we’ve been granted a first look at the trailer for the sequel.
Channing Tatum is back for more alongside new additions to the series, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who debuts playing Roadblock and the almighty action star himself, Bruce Willis who plays the legendary Joe Colton, aka the original G.I. Joe. In my opinion, I thought for sure they would have used Terra Nova and Avatar’s Stephen Lang in the role. However, Bruce should be a good fit.
For the second helping of G.I. Joe, the team faces off against Zartan (played by Arnold Vosloo, his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence. The film was directed by Jon M Chu. This will be Chu’s first big attempt at an action feature after previously only directing dance films. It’ll be interesting to see how he pulls it off. Check out the trailer below.
