The only thing missing from Miss You Already is Bette Midler’s epic ballad “Wind Beneath My Wings” playing in the background. The tearjerker is practically Beaches but with Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette filling in for Barbara Hershey and Midler.

Barrymore and Collette play childhood best friends living in London. Rachel Weisz was originally tapped to play opposite Collette before Barrymore stepped in. Their relationship goes through the ringer when Drew faces fertility issues and Toni is diagnosed with breast cancer. They’re supported by a solid cast, including Dominic Cooper and Paddy Considine as their love interests.

The dramedy is somewhat of a departure for director Catherine Hardwicke who’s known for films like Red Riding Hood, Thirteen and Twilight. Check out the trailer for the tearjerker below. Be sure to have some tissues handy.

Without a doubt, my favorite Adam Sandler movies have always included the adorable Drew Barrymore. Loved The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. The two reunite once again for another movie and I predict it’ll perfectly complete their romantic comedy trilogy. Blended also reunites them with their Wedding Singer director, Frank Coraci.

After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren (Barrymore) and Jim (Sandler) agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again. But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week.

Rounding out the cast are Joel McHale (Community), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids), Terry Crews (White Chicks), Kevin Nealon (Weeds) and Bella Thorne (Shake It Up). Blended was predominantly filmed in South Africa. It’s scheduled to hit theaters on May 23, 2014. Expect huge Memorial Day box office receipts. Check out the trailer below.

In this week’s edition of celebrity real estate, I’m choosing one of my favorite actresses of all-time, Drew Barrymore. I just love this woman. The 38-year-old actress recently put her Montecito home on the market. If you recall, Barrymore wed her art consultant husband Will Kopelman at this location last summer in front of 190 people. The estate is out of the way from the buzz of Hollywood on a secluded 2 acres. A perfect place for a paparazzi-free ceremony.

The Never Been Kissed actress purchased this abode in 2010 for $5.7 million. She’s listed it for $7.5 million. Spanning over 6,000 square feet, it boasts 6 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. The two-storey classic was built in 1937 and has a separate guest apartment. A walking path winds through the abundant gardens, citrus and avocado trees and expansive lawn to create a one-of-a-kind setting. Check out Drew’s home below. It certainly has a few of the actress’ quirky touches. I.e. the colorful patterned living room couches.

She may be the Most Hated Hollywood Celebrity according to Star magazine, but over at People they love her. The publication crowned Gwyneth Paltrow the Most Beautiful Woman in 2013. She takes over the reigns from her BFF Beyoncé who graced their annual Most Beautiful In The World issue last year.

“Around the house, I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t really wear makeup. That’s what [my children are] used to,” she tells People. Of her husband Chris Martin she says, “He’ll make a joke about it. If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like, ‘Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!’ Because he’s used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair.”

The 2013 GLAAD Media Awards took place on Saturday (April 20) in Los Angeles. Drew Barrymore hosted the event at the J.W. Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live which featured a performance by Kelly Rowland.

On hand for the annual event were Leonardo Dicaprio, Tobey Maguire, Charlize Theron, Matt Dallas with his fiance Blue Hamilton, Darren Criss, Alex Pettyfer who gave Betty White a smooch, Chris Evans with his gay brother Scott and many more including Jennifer Lawrence who debuted a brand new hairstyle. The Silver Linings Playbook actress was there to present the inaugural Advocate for Change Award to Bill Clinton for his work campaigning to legalize same-sex marriage.

“I want to keep working on this until not only DOMA is no longer the law of the land, but until all people, no matter where they live, can marry the people they love. I believe you will win the DOMA fight, and I think you will win the Constitutional right to marry. If not tomorrow, then the next day or the next day.” – Bill Clinton

In 1996, the ex-president signed the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defined marriage as a partnership only between a man and a woman. In recent years, he’s changed his stance and campaigned heavily against anti-gay legislation proposed in various states. He credits his daughter Chelsea and her gay friends for seeing the way. Others honored last night include The New Normal, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Days of Our Lives. Check out all the winners, Clinton’s speech and a few more photos below.

When two film stars click, there’s this undeniable chemistry that attracts millions to the movie theaters. Naturally when that happens, movie studios are eager to put the stars together for another film. Sometimes though, lightning doesn’t strike twice. Case in point, Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. While they sizzled in Pretty Woman, the same magic wasn’t there for Runaway Bride.

One couple that seems to spark every time they work together are Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. The two were sensational in The Wedding Singer. Then followed that up with the equally charming 50 First Dates. Barrymore is the best thing that’s ever happened Sandler. Without her, Sandler’s films tend to go via the frat boy route. With Drew by his side, his projects turn into romantic comedy blockbusters.

Naturally, wooing the 38-year-old actress to his next project was of the utmost importance. His last two flicks That’s My Boy and Jack and Jill were both commercial and critical flops. Reuniting with Barrymore couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.

Last night, Drew Barrymore‘s one-on-one interview with Oprah on Oprah’s Next Chapter took place, talking about her new baby, her husband, and her colorful past. The interview was done at Barrymore’s California home where Oprah asked her how she knows how to parent when she didn’t have a good example growing up. Drew explains how her tumultuous childhood is a great blueprint for righting the wrongs of her past.

Also in the episode, Drew Barrymore’s husband, Will Kopelman had his first television interview ever. The handsome art consultant talked about how he proposed to Barrymore, why he loves her so much, and more. He even shares how he found out she was pregnant. Their new baby was born on September 26, 2012, and the baby’s name is, Olive Barrymore Kopelman.

Get to know Kopleman in the video of the interview below. I’ve also included several other clips from last night’s episode as well.

Best.News.Ever. I have to say, Drew Barrymore is one of my all-time favorite actresses. Not because she’s the best (because she’s not), but because she’s so damn likeable and adorable. I might even say I have a crush on her. How else can you explain the fact I even liked her in some really craptastic films like “Bad Girls“, “Poison Ivy” and “Mad Love“. Thankfully, it’s not any of those movies that’s being adapted for Broadway. Instead, it’s another beloved Drew Barrymore film that’s heading to the Great White Way.

Hollywood movies given the Broadway musical treatment is nothing new. Some of the most successful musicals recently have been based on motion pictures. They include “Hairspray“, “Sister Act“, “The Lion King“, “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” and “Mary Poppins“. In fact sometimes, the musical version has been far more successful than the original.

Case in point “Newsies“. The Disney film was considered a box office bomb, but re-appropriated and it transformed into a Broadway smash. But for every “Newsies”, there’s also a bomb. Remember the ill-fated “Spider-Man, Turn Off The Dark” mess? How tragic was that? Have any ideas on which Drew Barrymore film is getting the song and dance treatment? “Never Been Kissed“, perhaps? How about “The Wedding Singer“? Or could it be “Firestarter“? Keep reading to find out.
