Typically a January release date signals a lack of confidence from the movie studio. After watching the first trailer for Reasonable Doubt, I think it has the potential to be a small sleeper hit. Hopefully, all the surprising twists and turns in this game of cat and mouse weren’t all revealed in the clip.
Up-and-coming District Attorney Mitch Brockden (Dominic Cooper) commits a fatal hit-and-run and feels compelled to throw the case against the accused criminal found with the body and blamed for the crime. Following the trial, Mitch’s worst fears come true when he realizes that he acquitted a guilty man, and he soon finds himself on the hunt for the killer before more victims pile up.
Reasonable Doubt lands in theaters January 17 and also stars Gloria Reuben and Samuel L. Jackson. Check out the trailer below.
Nope. Aaron Paul isn’t joining the Fast and Furious franchise, though with all the car chases and flipping, it sure looks like one. Instead, the Breaking Bad actor gets behind the wheel for Disney’s adaptation of the popular video game. I don’t use my game consoles a whole lot these days, but Need For Speed was definitely one of my favorites. I’m pretty sure there will be a new EA title tie-in when the movie hits theaters.
Paul plays a street racer named Tobey who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit. When he gets out of prison, he is determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. Directed by Scott Waugh, the high-octane film also stars Kid Cudi, Imogen Potts, Dominic Cooper and newly-minted Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson. The adaptation is slated for March 14, 2014. Check out the Need For Speed trailer below.
The trailer for an upcoming crime thriller called Dead Man Down is out, directed by Niels Arden Oplev who directed The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The film stars Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace (who played the lead in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) and is set in New York City where a crime lord’s right-hand man is seduced by one of his boss’s victims, a woman seeking retribution.
Farrell is the one who plays Victor, the right hand man to an underground New York crime lord, played by the amazing Terrence Howard. Victor is spotted killing on the job by Beatrice and she reaches out to him to help her get revenge on what Terrance’s character did to her – “Blood demands blood,” they say in the trailer.
The film also stars Dominic Cooper and hits theatres on March 8. Check out the trailer below!
I bet you don’t remember reading this in your high school history text books. Mixing the classic story of Abraham Lincoln with the horror of vampires and the supernatural, screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith portrays Lincoln is a young, axe slinging action star out to kill any that cross his path after his mother was killed by one of them. Taking us long for the ride on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is director Timur Bekmambetov and producer Tim Burton.
Starring fairly newcomer, Benjamin Walker as the beard-donning, stove-top hat wearing president, we watch him leap through the air and swing his axe with astonishing power to seek revenge for the supernatural being that murdered his mother. Alongside Benjamin are Dominic Cooper who you may remember most recently from Captain American and the beautiful Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
In the trailer, we can totally see how the collaboration of an action director and twisted-minded producer can pull off an interesting concept for a film. While I think that this film many only speak to specific genre enthusiasts, I personally am curious to check it out and I think you may be too. Check out the trailer below.
Holy Batman, or should I say… HOLY CAPTAIN AMERICA. Chris Evans is looking smoking hot in these candid pics from on set. Evans always had a hot body before, but man did he hit the gym hardcore for his new superhero role. Seriously, look at those guns- they’re lethal weapons. He can wrap me up tight in his arms any day of the week and then some. The boy is certainly packing some heat.
“Captain America: The First Avenger” will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. The film also stars Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper, Sebastian Stan and Hayley Atwell. It is slated for a July 22, 2011 release and will be presented in, surprise, surprise… 3D. I’m so over that gimmick.
