Earlier this week, Fox debute their celebrity diving competition special called Stars in Danger: The High Dive. For the men, the show featured Terrell Owens, Antonio Sabato Jr., David Chokachi, and Stephen “Twitch” Boss. Their dives aside, they all successfully pulled of the speedo attire considering they all looked smoking hot!
Olympic Diver, Troy Dumais (who was featured on Homorazzi as a Sports Stud back in 2012) will help the stars in the competition. Other celebrities featured in the show include JWoww, Alexandra Paul from Baywatch, Kim and Kyle Richards from the Real Housewives series, and Bethany Hamilton, the teenage surfer who got her arm bitten off by a shark a few years back.
Twitch, who was partnered with Bethany Hamilton, took the synchronized trophy prize, while Antonio Sabato Jr. took the solo prize. I’ve included photos of the guys below so without further delay, dive in and enjoy!
Is it wrong that I’m extremely excited for this FOX special to air this week? Ever since the cast was announced a few weeks ago, I’ve been waiting on the edge of my seat. The cast is kinda brilliant. You have two Real Housewives, a couple of Baywatch stars, a Jersey Shore alum and some decent eye candy in Speedos. Definitely guilty-pleasure viewing at its finest.
Stars in Danger: High Diving is a two-hour special pitting celebrities against each other as they learn to channel their inner Olympic diver. ABC has a similar show in the works titled Celebrity Splash, but FOX sneaked in there airing its special a couple of months earlier than the alphabet network’s new series. Shady, shady, shady. Forget the ballroom, it’s all about the pool these days.
If both shows are a ratings success, can we expect networks to put celebrities in more perilous activities, like gymnastics and downhill skiing? Fingers crossed. Check out a few pics of the guys in their form-fitting Speedos below, along with a couple of promo videos.
Based on a long-running German format, the next celebrity reality show competition is coming from FOX and it’s called Stars In Danger: The High Dive. In this new show, eight celebrities (from TV, film, sports and pop culture) will compete in a series of Olympic-style dives, including solo and synchronized diving, from a variety of different heights. The celebrities will either “step to the edge and take a flying leap or momentous belly flop into diving history.”
Olympic Diver, Troy Dumais (who was featured on Homorazzi as a Sports Stud earlier this year) will help the stars in the competition.
The series premieres on Wednesday, January 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Find out which celebrities will starting off 2013 with a splash below.
There are two reasons why I decided to write this post about the men of Baywatch. One reason was that I came across all of the hot pictures of these guys while I was randomly trying to figure out what happened to Yasmine Bleeth. The other motive is that there is a movie in the works so the timing seems right. Oh, by the way, in case you were wondering, Yasmine Bleeth doesn’t act anymore and she lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. I used to have a poster of her in my room when I was a kid. It was probably a combination of finding her attractive, thinking she was fierce, and most importantly, some kind of cover up for my stronger attraction to the male lifeguards on the show. Teehee.
Anyway, so many of these guys I had forgotten about and so many I hadn’t put two and two together in terms of the shows or films they’ve been in since and realizing they were from Baywatch. Others seemed to have stepped away from the spotlight.
I wish you the best of luck in deciding who you think is the hottest. Seriously, I don’t know how you’ll be able to do it. I can narrow it down to three. Check out the photos below and vote for your favorite!
Melrose Place may have been home to Matt Fielding, my first gay icon, but the crowded LA beaches of Baywatch were home to my first real super-secret-I-wish-there-was-YouTube-in-1995 man crush. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present David Chokachi as Cody Madison.
“Never swim alone” and “safety in numbers” is what people recommend. That’s what the washed-up babes of Baywatch are doing. “Baywatch” was the ultimate in 90s guilty pleasure jiggle TV and everyone loved it. Traci Bingham (Jordan), Nicole Eggert (Summer), Donna D’Errico (Donna) and Gena Lee Nolin (Neely) are teaming up for an upcoming reality series titled “Back To The Bay“.
drama-comedy will follow the four women as they live together in a beach house while showing their personal and professional exploits- hopefully in slow motion. Let’s take a closer look at the lucky ladies involved in this project.
Brief Bio: Began her career as one of Barker’s Beauties on “The Price is Right“. Parlayed that into a small role on “The Young and The Restless” before landing on the beach in “Baywatch” as Neely Capshaw. She quit Baywatch to star in her own short-lived show, “Sheena“. She’s currently married to NHL Player, Cale Hulse, and mother of two children. Gena just finished a book about postpartum depression.
Even before sneaking in episodes of Queer as Folk (the British version) late at night after everyone had gone to bed, before Will & Grace, before Ellen, BEFORE the Internet, I found my first gay icon. Where does a suburban kid growing up and grappling with “OMG am I gay?” go for his gay fix? Melrose Place! To be fair, David Chokachi on Baywatch was my first real crush, but he wasn’t gay. That doesn’t count.
Before Desperate Housewives, Doug Savant was “Matt Fielding” – the gay social worker who had lots of boyfriends, but never got it on. Not that we saw anyways. It didn’t matter. The mere thought of Matt and his hot manly sailor Jeffrey sneaking glances at each other, or hugging each other, was enough for a little 13 year old like me.
