If I had to guess which male celebrity has appeared in the most fashion editorials in recent memory, I would probably pick Dave Franco. It seems like the 27-year-old actor consistently pops up in publication after another. His latest finds him heading down under for GQ Australia.
Photographed by David Slijper, Franco sports a colorful array of fashionable nerdy outfits. I wonder if big bro’s short-lived show, Freaks and Geeks, served as inspiration for the spread? Is it me, or does this whole hipster geek chic really work for him. The things I would do to him in that bowtie ;)
If you think this nerd thing is just an act, you have to read the accompanying interview. Franco delivers an eulogy for a dead gecko then flushes him down the toilet with magazine staff witnessing the whole thing. Check out the photos below.
Dave Franco is certainly racking up his editorial work as of late. The 27-year-old actor recently appeared for a fashion spread for British GQ. His latest gig finds the Warm Bodies actor on the cover of another UK publication, Wonderland Magazine.
Once again, we find James Franco’s little bro channeling James Dean in one of the photos. I wonder if it’s the same pair of jeans and white t-shirt from the GQ shoot. Fittingly enough, he appears in the Babes Issue. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Dave is beginning to overtake his brother in the sexy department as he ages.
In addition to posing for photographer Danielle Levitt, Franco gives an interview with the magazine. He discusses brotherly advice he received from James, along with his thoughts on fame, his acting and writing career and much more. Check out excerpts and photos from James’ appearance in Wonderland’s Feb/Mar issue available now.
“For a long time, I can’t say that I loved acting because I was so nervous going to class everyday. But I kept at it and I became a little more comfortable and started having a bit more fun with it [...] The whole acting world is too much. Honestly, I have a freak-out moment at least once every other month, thinking ‘Is this the life I’m aspiring to lead?’ Because I really do cherish the anonymity that I have left.”
I freaking love Dave Franco. He’s hot, he’s funny, and he has a dirty mind. In this new video from Funny Or Die, he and basketball star DeAndre Jordan are playing basketball and more specifically, H-O-R-S-E. As you know, every time you can’t do what the other person does, you get a letter and the first person to spell “Horse” loses.
Instead of just playing basketball, the men take it off the court in a series of non-basketball related challenges. This includes: “Rap Battle“, “Work Dat Ass,” and a “Penis Competition.” Yes that’s right, the two men drop their shorts to see who has the bigger penis, compete at who is better at “working” a big jiggly booty, and who is better at rapping. You’ll have to watch to see who wins in competition and who wins overall.
Watch the hilariously sexy video below. Do you love Dave Franco as much as I do?
There’s no denying that Dave Franco is James’ little brother. But year after year, the younger Franco is emerging out of his brother’s shadow bit by bit. To boot, he’s also getting hotter doing it. I have to say, I’m sorta liking Dave more than James lately. He’s definitely getting sexier in my eyes. Must be all those Funny or Die videos where he’s talking dirty and f**king himself that did the trick.
Chris Azzopardi recently sat down with the 27-year-old actor for a revealing interview, covering the entire gay spectrum. From his sex-themed videos, LGBT following and everything in between, nothing was off the table. Azzopardi, a journalist whose interviewed Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Cher, Melissa Etheridge, Julia Roberts and many more, touts his conversation with Franco as the first ever gay interview by the actor. Check out a few excerpts below.
When were you first aware you had a gay following?
My friend I grew up with started calling me out and saying, “Dude, I can’t even imagine what people who don’t know you think of you.” It’s not like I’m doing these videos because I’m trying to shock or confuse people. I’m generally drawn toward material that’s just different and unique and is gonna maybe surprise people a bit. So I was first aware that there was maybe some awareness of me from the gay community when all my friends were telling me there’s all this stuff online and if you Google my name, the first thing that comes up is “Dave Franco Gay.” (Laughs)
Is it me or is Dave Franco looking hotter than James Franco as each year passes? Seriously, the 27-year-old actor is pretty damn fine in his latest fashion spread. Titled “Blazing A Trail“, Franco wears threads from Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Boss for British GQ. Photographer Anthony Mandler took inspiration from William Claxton’s iconic images of Steven McQueen for the editorial. Mission accomplished. Dave embodies the movie screen legend and definitely wears “The American King of Cool” label given by the publication perfectly.
The younger Franco is mostly known for his numerous appearances in Funny or Die videos. As of late, he’s been slowly transitioning to feature films. In 2012, he appeared in the movie adaptation of 21 Jump Street starring Channing Tatum. This year, Franco will pop up in two films- Warm Bodies and Now You See Me featuring Nicholas Hoult and Jesse Eisenberg respectively. Check out his latest photo shoot below. I definitely want everything for my spring wardrobe.
The first four minutes of an upcoming movie called Warm Bodies has been released and it’s definitely worth checking out! The film stars Nicholas Hoult, whom we first got to know in About A Boy, and later in A Single Man. He’s also the star of Jack The Giant Slayer and will also be reprising his role as Hank McCoy / Beast in X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
In Warm Bodies, Hoult stars as R, a zombie who becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims. Their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world. The first four minutes sets the scene for the film and gives you a good feel for what to expect. I wasn’t expecting to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised.
In addition to Hoult, the film also stars Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Dave Franco and Cory Hardrict. Check out the first four minutes of the film below!
The sexy and funny Dave Franco (who is one of the leads in the Now You See Me movie trailer that just came out) plays a game of “Would You Rather” with Talia Tabin (Parks and Recreation) in a hilarious new Funny or Die video.
The two childhood friends find themselves in increasingly awkward and funny situations when their game of “Would You Rather” takes an unexpected twist: the choices they make start coming true. For the first time ever, they can make anything come true, just by offering it as an option in the game. Will they use their power to make their fantasies become reality, or will the temptation to mess with each other be too much to resist? Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad) and Dave’s mother, Betsy Franco co-star as well.
This isn’t the first game Dave Franco has played for Funny or Die. He has also done a couple of “You’re So Hot” videos with Mintz-Plasse that are definitely worth watching if you haven’t. First, check out the new “Would You Rather” below to see what outrageous scenarios become reality.
Isla Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco are playing the world’s greatest illusionists in an upcoming movie called Now You See Me and the trailer has just been released.
It’s a game of cat and mouse between an elite FBI squad and “The Four Horsemen,” a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists. The foursome pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances and shower the stolen profits on their audiences – always staying one step ahead of the law. It’s an interesting concept and has a lot of great people in it! Michael Caine plays the owner of a bank and appears to be one of the villains in this story. Mark Ruffalo and Melanie Laurent are part of the FBI, while I’m not certain who Morgan Freeman is in the story, but he seems to be some sort of expert in magic and illusion.
The the crime thriller comes out June 7, 2013. Check out the trailer below!
