“Every life together starts with a question,” the advert states. Actually, it starts with the answer. You can’t really start anything with a big ole fat ‘NO’ can you?
Just a few weeks ago, Tiffany & Co made headlines by featuring a same-sex couple for the first time in one of their engagement ring print ads. It featured a real-life gay couple living in NYC. The campaign was met with extremely positive feedback.
Now comes along a commercial showing the same couple along with other lovers just moments before the proposal. For all you America’s Next Top Model fans, Cycle 10 standout Fatima Siad appears in the clip as well. Check out the feel-good visual below.
I’m sure by now you’ve seen Jean-Claude Van Damme’s video where he’s doing the splits between two trucks. The viral clip demonstrating the precision and directional stability of Volvo Dynamic Steering has amassed over 34 million views since debuting last week. With that kind of popularity, naturally spoofs were bound to follow.
Taking a break while filming 22 Jump Street, Channing Tatum filmed a parody of Van Damme’s signature splits. Instead of two massive trucks supporting his feet, he opts for two food carts being pushed by members of the movie’s crew. Obviously without the stability of Volvo’s technology, things go awry for Tatum. Without spoiling too much, last year’s People’s Sexiest Man Alive’s clip ends with him yelling a few expletives while holding his naughty bits. Check it out below.
Even though I fast-forward commercials while watching my favorite shows, I’m always down for a slick ad campaign, especially when it’s a fairytale-themed one. British retailer Marks & Spencer mashes up The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland for its gorgeous holiday advert.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, top male model David Gandy and Helena Bonham Carter play characters from the beloved movies in the recently-released visual. Gandy sure does make for one sexy mad hatter. Carter for her part can’t seem to escape Alice. As you may recall, she played the Red Queen in Tim Burton’s adaptation.
Fall down the rabbit hole into a magical world created by Swedish director Johan Renck (Madonna’s “Hung Up”). Check it out below.
Who better to star in a short fashion film about timeless glamour than Matthew McConaughey and Scarlett Johansson. The two gorgeous stars unite for the first time in a Dolce & Gabbana fragrance campaign shot by Martin Scorsese.
“Street of Dreams” is an epic story of the power of love and the power of dreams. Watch McConaughey and Johansson drive through the streets of New York in a beautifully-shot black and white clip. Check it out below.
Google unveiled its new Nexus 5 smartphone earlier this week. The device has a 5-inch display and is tightly integrated with new Google search capabilities and Google Now, the company’s personal-assistant technology. It comes in black and white and costs $349 for a 16GB unlocked version or $399 for 32GB which is cheaper than Apple’s new iPhones.
What better way to capture the moments that matter than with Google’s new offering? There’s no other big moment than a wedding I suppose. The company debuted a commercial titled “I Do” which features weddings from all walks of life and culture. Naturally with marriage equality still a hot topic, a gay one is featured. Check out the ad spot below.
I didn’t think it was possible but Thierry Pepin looks even hotter than ever. I’m not sure if it’s his longer curlier locks that does the trick or the fact he’s dressed up as a cowboy. Probably a combination. Now you have more to grab onto as you’re riding bronco ;)
Gregg Homme enlists the sexy model to introduce their new snakeskin line of underwear. Chaps, leather belts and suede looks blend together to offer you all you ever dreamed of to ride your sexiest fantasies. Watch how Pepin handles an unwanted intruder in his tent. Be forewarned, a full moon is in view and I’m not referring to the one in the sky. Check out the western-themed promo below.
To front their latest ad campaign, Gap enlisted the offspring of two music legends. Alexa Ray Joel and Dhani Harrison star in the brand’s Back To Blue commercials. Both pay homage to their legendary dads by reinterpreting their classic hits.
For a brand like ours, built on the ‘generation gap,’ it seemed really rich,” said Seth Farbman, Gap’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We’ve been spending a lot of time really looking at what an iconic brand does and how it acts. … And, as we often do, we were looking backwards, in order to go forwards.”
Alexa Ray tackles Billy Joel’s timeless “Just The Way You Are,” which he famously wrote for his first wife Elizabeth Weber. Five years alter, they divorced and reportedly he semi-retired that track. I love that his daughter with second wife Christie Brinkley picked it for the commercial. Meanwhile, Dhani chose “For You Blue” written by George Harrison for The Beatles Let It Be album. Check out both ad spots along with behind the scenes footage below.
Tom Brady has an incredible list of accomplishments. However it’s not his three Super Bowl wins or the fact he snagged supermodel Gisele Bunchen as his wife that impresses me the most. Rather, it’s his ability to make UGGs look pretty damn cool and appealing. For most North American males, including myself, the term UGGS quickly calls to mind those annoying girls who wear those comfy boots for every occasion. Apparently, they have a line for men as well. Who knew?
Brady has fronted the Australian brand’s ad campaign for men the past couple of years. His latest commercial is so much better than last year’s. As he walks from the back of the bus to the front, he pays homage to his past. He starts off with his high school days where he gives a nod to a potential baseball career he never pursued. It then chronicles his time as the Michigan Wolverines quarterback to present day as an NFL superstar. Check out the minute-long spot below. Is it me or does he walk like Arnold Schwarzenegger did in Terminator? Judge for yourself.
