The past couple of days have been a downpour of riches for all you Hunger Gamers. Not only did another poster for Catching Fire debut, but two cuts from the soundtrack made their way online in full.
We’ve already heard a preview of “We Remain” from Christina Aguilera, but now we have the full version. As expected, it’s flawless. Xtina is back in her wheelhouse, belting out a power ballad with her even more powerful vocals. This is the Christina I fell in love with years ago.
The other leaked track from the highly-anticipated soundtrack is from the phenomenal Sia. Lately, the Aussie singer has mostly stayed behind the scenes penning tracks for the likes of Celine Dion, Ne-Yo, Alexis Jordan and numerous others including Aguilera herself. I’m glad she’s returned back to the mic to deliver a wicked track produced by Diplo and featuring The Weeknd.
“Elastic Heart” is an emotional track which complements Sia’s throaty vocals with The Weeknd’s vulnerability. Definitely a keeper. Check out both tracks below and weigh in afterward on which track you think is better. I can’t wait to hear the entire LP. This will definitely give The Great Gatsby a run for its money as best soundtrack of the year.
I thought The Great Gatsby had the best soundtrack of the year honors all locked up, but The Hunger Games: Catching Fire album is shaping up to be a serious contender. We’ve already heard the epic “Atlas” by Coldplay and now we have the full track listing. On paper, the roster is epic.
There are contributions from Sia, Santigold, Ellie Goulding, Mikky Ekko, Imagine Dragons and The Lumineers. New Zealand sensation Lorde is also involved by covering the Tears For Fears classic, “Everybody Wants to Rule The World.” As impressive as that line-up is already, the cherry on top is none other than Christina Aguilera.
The Voice judge lends her vocals on a soaring power ballad titled “We Remain.” Some of Xtina’s best work has appeared in movies including “Reflection” (Mulan), “Lady Marmalade” (Moulin Rouge), “Car Wash” (Shark Tale) and anything from Burlesque. Check out a preview of her new track below and see how it stacks up with the rest of her movie contributions.
Season 5 of The Voice kicks off this Monday and as always, it begins with a group performance from the coaches. In the past, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green tackled hits from Queen, Prince, The Rolling Stones and Green Day. When Shakira and and Usher filled in, they joined Levine and Shelton on “Come Together” and “With A Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles.
For the original coaches‘ first performance back together they’re rocking it out on the classic Joan Jett & The Blackhearts cover, “I Love Rock ‘N Roll.” For me, Christina steals the show. She looks and sounds friggin’ fantastic. Check out the performance below.
After almost a decade not performing live on television, the “Woman’s World” singer choose the NBC singing competition to debut her comeback single. Cher must’ve really enjoyed her time on the fourth season finale of The Voice. She returns to the show, but this time as one of the mentors during the battle rounds for Season 5. Find out who she’s paired up with below, along with the other three mentors.
“This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams” Paul Telegdy, NBC’s late night and alternative programming president said in a statement. “I know Christina, Adam, CeeLo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard.”
Absolutely ridiculous. Christina Aguilera looks insanely hot on the current issue of Maxim magazine. With a svelte new body, I don’t blame her for showing off all her hard work at the gym. It’s sexy without being too trashy like her previous editorials with the publication. Remember her slut-tastic one during her “Dirty” era?
In addition to posing for photographer Mark Liddell, the 32-year-old singer opens up about what she finds sexy in guys. Speaking of sexy guys, Maxim asks her which of her former Mickey Mouse Club co-stars was cooler, Justin Timberlake or Ryan Gosling? Find out her answer below, along with a few other memorable quotes and more photos from her sizzling photo shoot. Side note: Love the headline, “Hear the Voice, See the Body!” Preach Maxim, preach.
I’m such a down-to-earth girl, I’m comfortable in just a jersey and boy’s underwear. Trying too hard to be sexy is the worst thing you can do. Sexiness should be effortless.
Simply stunning. Christina Aguilera looks absolutely gorgeous while walking on water in a new promo for The Voice Season 5. As if she already didn’t have a deity-like complex already ;)
The “Genie In A Bottle” singer pops out of nowhere to serenade Adam Levine and Blake Shelton who are on a fishing trip. The two boys lament how much they miss their former partners in crime before belting out Peaches & Herb’s classic love song “Reunited.” Cee-Lo Green also joins in on the fun, accompanied by three mermaids. Check out the extremely campy, yet awesome video below.
“Reunited and it feels so good.” NBC couldn’t have picked a better tagline to promote the upcoming season of The Voice. The OG judges are back together after a season break. Say what you will about Christina Aguilera, but her chemistry with her male counterparts is television gold.
It’ll be interesting to see how she’ll be after taking a season off. Will a kinder and more likeable Xtina show up on set now that she’s lost some weight and looks fabulous? I hope so. I really want another coach besides Blake Shelton to win for a change. Three seasons in a row is too much. If anyone needs to sit out next season he should. I’d love to see a panel with Usher, Christina, Shakira and Adam. Mark Burnett make it happen. Check out the newly-release promo video and posters below.
Looks like Christina Aguilera is echoing Teresa Guidice’s Real Housewives of New Jersey tagline, “Haters are gonna hate, but I just love, love, love.” The 32-year-old singer debuts a feel-good all-inclusive music video for “Let There Be Love” which promotes the end to racism, sexism, bullying and just to love one another. Who else loves this more genuine, kinder and gentler Aguilera? I certainly do. It’s amazing what losing a few pounds will do to lift someone’s mood ;)
Why she never released this track as an official single is beyond me. It’s hands down the best one off her last album, Lotus. The clip features home footage featuring her son Max adorably dancing, cameos from famous friends Christina Milian and Nicole Richie, and more behind-the-scenes moments.
XTina’s clip is in conjunction with a really, really, really long love letter she posted on her site. Titled, “From My Heart To Yours… Let There Be Love,” the letter expresses her gratitude for her fans’ ongoing support and devotion. She also goes on to ruminate about her art, love, and life itself. I’ve posted the extremely lengthy letter after her new clip below.
