fergie-la-love-la-la-music-video

Two months after debuting her comeback single, Fergie has finally dropped the music video for “L.A. Love (La La).” Was it worth the wait? Truthfully, as colorful and star-studded as it is, it’s pretty basic IMHO.

Fergie hits several Los Angeles hot spots in a colorful festive float with some familiar faces in tow. It appears everyone and their mother came out to show the Dutchess some love.

A few of the folks making a cameo include will.i.am, Ryan Seacrest, Wilmer Valderrama, Kelly Osbourne, DJ Mustard, J-Pop princess Koda Kumi and Hilary Swank to name a few. Random bunch, right? Especially Swank. Who knew Fergie Ferg and the Million Dollar Baby actress were such good friends.

Hopefully for Fergie’s sake, the clip helps boost the single on the charts. So far its performance has been lackluster at best, peaking so far only at No. 63. Check out the clip below.

2014-most-fascinating-people-list

You can’t keep a good bitch down ;) Although she proclaimed last year’s Most Fascinating People special was the last, Barbara Walters returns to ABC this Winter with a 2014 edition.

While I enjoy the special, I thought last year’s supposed final list was fitting. Walters began the annual telecast years ago with Hillary Rodham Clinton as her ‘Most Fascinating Person.’ Fittingly, Barbara chose the former First Lady as her last. I’m sensing that the legendary 85-year-old journalist’s retirement will echo Cher’s numerous farewell tours ;)

ABC has already released some names who’ve made the 2014 list. Find out who made the cut below.

chelsea-handler-netflix-comedy-special

This October, Netflix loses its filter. Chelsea Handler brings her raw, raucous, and raunchy comedic stylings to the streaming service provider. Filmed in Chicago during her latest tour, Uganda Be Kidding Me recounts Handler’s hilarious romp through Africa.

The comedy special is part of Chelsea’s deal with Netflix which includes a new talk show set to premiere in 2016 and four docu-comedy specials produced by 39-year-old comedienne set to premiere in 2015.

Check out the recently-released trailer below which finds Chelsea cracking jokes about PETA, AIDS, rappers and safari guides all in under a couple of minutes. I can’t wait for the special premiering on Friday, October 10.

chelsea-lately-series-finale

Just like Jay Leno did for his Tonight Show farewell, Chelsea Handler enlisted her celebrity friends to close out her time over at E!. After seven years, the 39-year-old hosted the final episode of her talk show Chelsea Lately! She’ll head over to Netflix to launch the streaming service’s first ever talk show, set to debut in early 2016.

Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock and Mary McCormack mocked Handler in a segment which included a surprise by Chelsea’s former flame, 50 Cent. In another bit, Ellen DeGeneres surprised Chelsea in the shower asking why she had never been invited as a guest and wondered if it was because of her sexual orientation.

As amusing as those segments were, my favorite part featured Handler being serenaded by a whackload of stars singing revised lyrics to “We Are The World.” Gwen Stefani kicked things off with solos by Fergie, Avril Lavigne, Trace Adkins, Dave Grohl, Alanis Morrissette, LeAnn Rimes and Tim Gunn.

They were joined in the chorus by Vanessa Hudgens, 50 Cent, Joel McHale, Naya Rivera, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Miley Cyrus, Tim Allen, Dane Cook, Josh Gad, Kathy Griffin, Leah Remini, Wiz Khalifa, Anna Faris, Chloe Grace Moretz, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, Johnny Knoxville and Kelly Osbourne. Marlee Matlin was also on hand singing along using sign language. Check out all the clips below.

Chelsea Handler Hosting New Talk Show On Netflix

In: Donovan, TV Shows

When Chelsea Handler announced she was ending Chelsea Lately on E!, many assumed she was in the running to replace David Letterman on CBS. Turns out she was shopping around a new talk show, but just to a different media outlet. The 39-year-old comedian is bringing her brand of humor to Netflix to launch the streaming service’s first ever talk show, set to debut in early 2016.

“The Internet has disrupted many of the conventions of traditional television and together with Chelsea Handler, Netflix is looking forward to reimagining the late night talk show for the on-demand generation, starting with the late night part.” – Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos

No word if the talk show will be daily, weekly or other frequency. As part of the multi-layered deal, Handler will also provide a stand-up special and docu-comedy specials. Chelsea‘s first stand-up special will start streaming on October 16 and it will be based on her sold-out tour of Uganda Be Kidding Me Live.

Handler officially leaves E! on August 26 when her talk show signs off after seven years. Read Chelsea’s statement regarding her new deal below.

Who Does Kelly Clarkson Think She Is?

In: Donovan, TV Shows

After airing on NBC for three seasons, Lisa Kudrow brings her genealogy documentary series to TLC. Who Do You Think You Are? premieres tonight on the network. To kick off the fourth season, Kelly Clarkson has been tapped to trace her family tree. The 31-year-old original American Idol discovers that her great great great grandfather, Isaiah Rose, was involved in the Civil War.

Having watched the show, I’m sure her relative was some do-gooder. I would love it one time to have a celebrity discover a shady past. That would be priceless. Other stars participating this season are Christina Applegate, Cindy Crawford, Zooey Deschanel, Chelsea Handler, Trisha Yearwood, Jim Parsons and Chris O’Donnell. Check out a preview of the season premiere below.

As you know, British pop girl group, The Saturdays have a new E! Reality Show called Chasing The Saturdays, documenting their journey into the U.S. as they try to make it in North America.

This week, the group had their first big interview in the United States with none other than the filterless female comedian, Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately. “So it’s kind of like the Spice Girls, right? A new improved Spice Girls?” Handler joked. “You guys are from Great Britain, so you speak English?” Handler didn’t hold back and even joked about sitting on their faces at one point. At another part during the interview, Handler asked Rochelle Humes who is pregnant, “So you’re gonna keep it?” OMG.

The girls will perform their new US single ‘What About Us‘ on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on January 14. Check out their interview with Handler below.

Movie Review: Fun Size

In: Matt, Movies

Yawn. I think I’ve seen this before.

Seriously, this movie reminded me of Superbad, except this one was just… Super. Bad.

Entering into the over done genre of “it-all-happened-in-one-night”, Fun Size tells the story of Wren who is left to babysit her 8 year old brother on Halloween night and attempts to attend a Halloween party at the same time. Obviously a night of drama ensues.

The only thing i liked about this horrible movie was Chelsea Handler (who I adore). She play’s Wren’s mom and while her story line is as equally unbelievable as the rest of this movie, her delivery is hilarious. She always manages to get a laugh out of me.
