This week, the group had their first big interview in the United States with none other than the filterless female comedian, Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately. “So it’s kind of like the Spice Girls, right? A new improved Spice Girls?” Handler joked. “You guys are from Great Britain, so you speak English?” Handler didn’t hold back and even joked about sitting on their faces at one point. At another part during the interview, Handler asked Rochelle Humes who is pregnant, “So you’re gonna keep it?” OMG.
The girls will perform their new US single ‘What About Us‘ on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on January 14. Check out their interview with Handler below.
Yawn. I think I’ve seen this before.
Seriously, this movie reminded me of Superbad, except this one was just… Super. Bad.
Entering into the over done genre of “it-all-happened-in-one-night”, Fun Size tells the story of Wren who is left to babysit her 8 year old brother on Halloween night and attempts to attend a Halloween party at the same time. Obviously a night of drama ensues.
The only thing i liked about this horrible movie was Chelsea Handler (who I adore). She play’s Wren’s mom and while her story line is as equally unbelievable as the rest of this movie, her delivery is hilarious. She always manages to get a laugh out of me.
Oh. Em. Gee. Last night’s episode of Chelsea Lately was epic. This was the first new episode on their highly anticipated new set on the Universal Lot. The episode opened up with a shower scene with Chelsea Handler getting confronted and bitched out by none other than Sandra Bullock! Given that they were both in the shower, they were also both naked with their lady parts blurred out. Sandra spoke sternly to Chelsea about how she needs to get her sh*t together, not drink so much, and stop sleeping with her guests – she even slaps her in the face…twice! LOL.
In this episode, the panel is made up of Heather McDonald, Loni Love and Ross Mathews. They talk about Sarah Palin‘s questionable weight loss, the man who jumped from space, Lindsay Lohan endorsing Mitt Romney, Rihanna & Chris Brown and more.
When her good friend Jennifer Aniston came on as the special guest and Handler mentions her engagement to Justin Theroux, Aniston says, “I just got verklempt,” fighting back the tears. Handler added, “He’s the greatest guy ever and you guys make the greatest couple ever.”
Next week, Chelsea Handler will be debuting her new Chelsea Lately set since she’s now moved to Studio 1 on the Universal lot. We saw her live this past summer at her old location so we recognize that it’s a big change to be moving to Universal. She was on Jay Leno earlier this week, making fun of him and also talking about the big change.
To help celebrate the occasion, her celebrity friends Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz decided to make a video where they do a rap specifically for Chelsea Handler… You know how Chelsea loves a rapper (ahem… 50 Cent).
The rap is both ridiculous and funny at the same time and they do actually bring up 50 Cent in their rap as well, saying “50 Cent tells us you like it rough!” In addition, they poke fun at her by saying, “We kind of like you because you’re blonde like us, but we can’t hang out with you in public because you drink too much!” LOL. Watch the video below.
In the sketch, Chelsea plays Kim Kardashian who, after watching Schindler’s List, decides she and her sisters must do something to help save the Jews from the Nazis. In order to save them, every Jew they come across in the scene they hide in the basement. When they question why, Khloe (Fortune Feimster) yells, “Get in the basement!” The funny and loveable Heather McDonald plays their mother, Kris Jenner in the parody.
The sketch makes fun of all the other family members too : Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick, baby Mason (played by Chuy), Bruce Jenner, and even Kanye West. Kanye has to go to the basement because Kim just saw the movie Amistad and is worried about his safety.
‘Fun Size‘ is the next big teen comedy, due out this coming October and the trailer has just been released. The Nickelodeon film stars Victoria Justice, who some believe to now be the next tween breakout star, alongside Jane Levy (Suburgatory) and Chelsea Handler (Chelsea Lately).
Here’s the premise of the film. When a troubled but whip-smart teen girl (Justice) loses her oddball little brother on Halloween, she has one desperate night to track him down. It has all the right ingredients for a successful comedy with today’s audience: (1) A funny & witty red head: Jane Levy (the Emma Stone or Lindsay Lohan of this film). (2) A funny mom: Chelsea Handler. (3) And some funny one liners: “A smiley face emoticon? That seals the deal, Ren. That is how love works.” That being said, it is a Nickelodeon film so it’s going to be a bit cheesy & predictable given it’s target audience.
Check out the trailer below and share your thoughts on what you think in the comments below. Will you be checking out this film?
After all of the recent movie and music award shows, the next one to look forward to is 64th Primetime Emmy Awards in September. Today, the announcement was made as to who the host would be.
Last year, the hilarious Jane Lynch to the reigns as the show’s host for the evening and it was a great success. This year, one of the above Late Night hosts has been identified as the chosen one. Any guesses as to who?
Although he couldn’t keep a straight face on SNL, Jimmy Fallon has grown up quite a bit and actually just interviewed Madonna over the weekend. Jimmy Kimmell continues to pump out some amazingly hilarious segments on his show and would be a good choice in my opinion. Chelsea Handler would certainly bring the naughty humor to the show, while Jay Leno is the veteran of the pack and could be a safe bet. Find out below who the actual host this year will be.
Today, This Means War hits theatres as the token Valentine’s Day comedy for 2012. The film stars Reese Witherspoon who after struggling to get back into the dating scene finds herself now double-dating and trying to choose between two great guys, played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy. Oh yeah, and both men are spies but in true spy fashion, they do not divulge this information to her.
I’ll let you know right away, the film isn’t something to write home about: It’s super cheesy & ridiculous. As the movie kicked off, I thought I was watching Reese Witherspoon in the courtroom scene of Legally Blonde, where she was using the technical terms that relate to hair perms. In this film, she works in product testing and focus groups so that’s where the jargon she uses in this film comes from. That being said, as long as you know that the film is not to be taken seriously going into it, it can actually be quite entertaining.
