With graduation coming soon on Glee, it’s time to meet some parents. Up until now, not much has been revealed about Artie’s (Kevin McHale) family life. That’s all about to change, according to an announcement made by Ryan Murphy on Twitter.

“So thrilled to announce my friend [BLANK] is playing Artie’s mom on Glee!” Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter. “There is nothing this woman can’t do!”

Once Upon A Time Spinoff Announced

In: Donovan, TV Shows

Once Upon A Time is one of ABC’s most successfully launched new shows in several years. It only makes sense the alphabet network orders a spinoff from the show’s creators. If the network execs like the pilot, OUAT will be the third show in the past few weeks to spawn a spinoff. The WB’s The Vampire Diaries and ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars also have ones in development.

Once creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, with help from former River EP Zack Estrin and Once writer Jane Espenson are making a small test presentation. The proposed spinoff will be set in pre-curse Wonderland. Titled, Once: Wonderland, the show will follow Alice’s adventures. Unlike a traditional spinoff, this project will be more in the vein of American Horror Story. It won’t be an “another five-year, 22-episode series”, but rather have “a beginning, middle, and end.” Check out a few of the cast members below.

Anderson Cooper Being Eyed For Two Major Gigs

In: Donovan, TV Shows

Even though Anderson Cooper’s syndicated talk show is canceled, he’s still one hot commodity. Not only is the 45-year-old CNN reporter being eyed for one prestigious hosting gig, but two. Like they say, when one door closes, another one opens. In this case, it’s two.

According to Deadline.com, NBC executives have reached out to Cooper about taking over The Today Show when Matt Lauer’s $25 million contract expires in 2014. With Lauer receiving plenty of negative press since Ann Curry’s ouster and his approval ratings tanking, the peacock network clearly won’t be renewing his contract. The once mighty daytime talk show is consistently playing second fiddle to ABC’s Good Morning America. Obviously, NBC is looking to shake things up and regain the crown.

Even though Matt is on his way out, execs reached out to him for his blessing. Not surprisingly, he’s not happy about his possible replacement. Allegedly, he even contacted Cooper to express his disapproval which caught Cooper by surprise. Ummmm, when did Lauer become the biggest douche in the world? Perhaps, he’s acting all competitive because both him and Cooper are up for another high-profile gig. Find out which one below.

Michael Bay Casts His Ninja Turtles

In: Donovan, Movies

Who doesn’t have a favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? I’m certain at some point, we’ve all watched these beloved characters growing up. I certainly did. Obviously, I’m excited for Michael Bay’s reboot of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film series from the early 1990s. The Jonathan Liebesman-directed flick find the mutated reptile warriors defending the world from invading aliens. Ninja Turtles began production this month in New York and is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2014.

Until recently, Megan Fox was the only actor attached to the project. The 26-year-old actress snagged the role of April O’Neil- a good friend of the Turtles. If you recall, Fox publicly said a few not so choice words about Bay while working with him during the Transformers films. As a result, she was replaced in the third film by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. With Megan’s career going nowhere fast, she allegedly groveled back to the action producer to make amends. Looks like it worked. Find out who’ll be joining Fox in the film below.

Last week, rumors that another veteran from the original X-Men trilogy joining X-Men: Days of Future Past surfaced. They were started by none other than James McAvoy who plays the younger Charles Xavier in the reboot series. The 33-year-old Scottish actor slipped up by including Alan Cumming’s name with Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman and others as coming back to the franchise. Cumming appeared as Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler in 2003′s X2. Turns out those rumors were false… or were they.

Cumming revealed that he hadn’t “gotten the call” from Bryan Singer. Since the rumors surfaced, the director has neither confirmed nor denied Cumming’s addition. In a photo released via Twitter, however, Singer did reveal a few casting additions not previously released. One of which is Daniel Cudmore who played Colossus in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. Glad the Canadian star is back in the fold. He’s one tall drink of hotness. Find out the other newbies joining X-Men: Days of Future Past below.

Arrow Promotes Colton Haynes

In: Donovan, TV Shows

Well, that didn’t take long? After only appearing in a few episodes, Colton Haynes is receiving a promotion. Whatever he’s doing on set has certainly impressed the powers-that-be at The CW. Congratulations to him (and to me). This just increases my chances of bumping into him since Arrow films in Vancouver. I’ve been a fan of his since he starred in ABC’s short-lived vampire show, The Gates.

Haynes first appeared as Roy Harper in the episode “Dodger.” The 24-year-old actor will be a series regular for the second season of Arrow. He’s the latest to get upgraded on the CW show. Emily Bett Rickards who plays the fabulous Felicity Smoak also moved up from recurring character to full-fledged cast member recently.

You’d think scoring a regular gig after leaving MTV’s Teen Wolf would make him happy. Rather, he’s worried about one aspect about his promotion. He jokingly told US Weekly the following.

“I’m excited to be joining the Arrow team but not excited to be training in the gym to keep up with Stephen [Amell]” – Colton Haynes

I don’t blame him. That Stephen Amell is sex on wheels. The guy is the very definition of cut. I’ve seen him a handful of times and trust me… what you see on television is the real thing. No special effects. With Colton staying put in YVR, hopefully he’ll follow Amell to the gym. Would love to see him working on his fitness. Don’t worry, I’m not a stalker. I admire from afar as I’m benching 10lbs with my trainer ;) LOL. If you’re not familiar with the hotness that is Colton Haynes, check out a few photos below.

Who’s Leaving The View?

In: Donovan, TV Shows

I’m truly flabbergasted. I never expected this from this woman. Deadline.com is reporting that one of the ladies is leaving when her contract expires in August. When the site talked to this co-host, she revealed she was leaving to focus on other projects. ABC released a statement stating this woman was instrumental in the success of The View and said the following.

“We wish her all the best in this next chapter, and are thrilled that we have her for the remainder of the season.” – ABC

With Barbara Walters reportedly scaling back her involvement on the show, and this co-host leaving, the panel is definitely going to look quite differently when the ABC daytime talk show returns for a 17th season in September. Find out who’s leaving below.

Chloe Sevigny Lands A Sitcom Gig

In: Donovan, TV Shows

I love me some Chloe Sevigny. Ever since she made her film debut as an HIV positive teen in the controversial film Kids, I’ve been a fan. Her recent credits include appearances in Big Love, American Horror Story: Asylum, Portlandia and Hit & Miss. In the latter she played a transgender assassin. FIERCE.

What I love most about Chloe is her ability to switch seamlessly no matter what she’s doing. From earning an Oscar nomination in Boys Don’t Cry, modeling luxury goods for Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton and Chloé, to performing unsimulated fellatio on Vincent Gallo in The Brown Bunny, the 38-year-old actress has done it all. Most actresses wouldn’t have been able to rebound after giving a onscreen blowjob, but not Chloe. She’s resilient.

Now, she’s giving comedy another try. The actress made her television debut back in 2004 on Will & Grace. Sevigny just signed to appear in at least three episodes of this sitcom. Find out which one below.
