It appears that CBS is continuing their mandate to create more cross-brand synergy between their shows. On the heels of Survivor: San Juan del Sur casting former racers, the Amazing Race has tapped Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson from Survivor: South Pacific.

They’re not the only familiar faces. The milestone 25th season of The Amazing Race includes pro surfer Bethany Hamilton, famous for losing an arm during a shark attack, and TNA pro wrestling stars Brooke Adams and Robbie Strauss, better known as Miss Tessmacher and Robbie E to their fans.

The Race kicked off in May with the first ever public start from Times Square in New York City where Phil Keoghan introduced a new game-changing element, “The Save.” The team-that finishes first in the premiere episode will be awarded “The Save,” which they can use to rescue themselves if they come in last on a leg and face elimination. Teams this season will travel through eight countries and twenty cities.

The Amazing Race moves to a new night, Fridays at 8pm this Fall, starting September 26. Check out the teams below.

Chris Soules Is Officially The Next Bachelor

After Emily Maynard reject, Arie Luyendyk Jr., spilled the beans about the next Bachelor, ABC made it official.

Chris Soules, who was sent home right before the finale on Andi Dorman’s Bachelorette season, will be handing out roses for the dating show’s 19th season. The 32-year-old farmer from Iowa was easily the frontrunner, winning over the shows’ fans. Let’s just hope he doesn’t have a fall from grace like most of his predecessors. Juan Pablo Galavis and Ben Flajnik anyone?

“Absolutely, that’s why I am doing it. I believe in the process I believe in what I went through on the previous show and that’s why I am doing it I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t feel like that was a potential.” - Chris Soules

Chris has been engaged once before, but the seven-year relationship ended just months before he expected to walk down the aisle. Season 19 of The Bachelor will air in January 2015.

It’ll be interesting to see how many of the women are legitimately serious about moving from their respective homes to working on a farm. Andi can deny it all she wants, but I’m sure that’s the big reason why she dumped Soules. Do you agree? Excited for Chris to give out roses? Did producers make the right choice? Sound off below.

Clearly, Ryan Murphy enjoyed working with Matt Bomer on The Normal Heart. The White Collar actor reunites with Murphy for American Horror Story: Freak Show. No specifics about his role have been disclosed but Ryan teases it’ll be ‘warped.’ Bomer will guest star on at least one episode of the popular horror anthology series. He may star in more depending on his schedule filming Magic Mike 2.

“I try to get him to do everything for me,” Murphy told EW. “I sent him a text that said, ‘First right of refusal, here’s the role.’ It’s very…warped.”

In other related AHS news, the network released another teaser for the fourth installment, titled “Lick.” The title is pretty self-explanatory. Check it out below. Be sure to catch all the action when AHS: Freak Show premieres on October 8.

One of Glee‘s most memorable characters is returning for the show’s final season. Former bully turned openly gay good guy Dave Karofsky (Max Adler) is set to appear in at least four of the series’ last 13 episodes. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he will have a major arc and cause some turmoil. Find out exactly what after reading Ryan Murphy’s tease about Season 6.

“The final season is really its own story and its own location, and while the New York stuff will be alive, the final season is not New York-centric at all,” Murphy said. “It really [will be] a lovely, fitting season that … dwells on the original people that were on the show and what happens to them and how they give back. That really is the last season. .… We’ll revisit some of the new kids that came and went. There’s a return of the Jane-Matt characters in a big way. It’s really interesting, a very sweet, satisfying ending to the story.”

Before you get too excited, she’s not returning as one of the professional dancers. Rather, Julianne Hough will have a permanent spot on the panel for Dancing With The Stars Season 19. She won’t be replacing anyone. Instead, she will sit alongside panel regulars Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman as the fourth judge.

“I’m so excited to be back with my “Dancing with the Stars” family again on a regular basis,” Hough later said in a statement. “I’ve always aspired to be an all-around entertainer, whether I’m acting, dancing or singing, and I’m thrilled for this opportunity that will allow me to continue all of those pursuits.”

She added, “Derek and I just finished our Move Live on Tour, which reminded me how much I miss the interaction with the dance fans that have been so supportive of me in my career. I am warming up the paddles and the sass, and I’m ready to have fun in this new role.”

While I enjoyed Hough as one of the pros, her appearances as a guest judge left something to be desired. Clearly the producers felt otherwise. Love it or hate it, viewers will now have to sit through four critiques for each dance. #overkill. Watch Hough make the announcement on Good Morning America earlier today.

Life is a cabaret, old chum. At least, Emma Stone’s life will be for a little while.

The 25-year-old actress is set to make her Broadway debut this Fall. She’ll don slinky black attire to play Sally Bowles in the musical Cabaret. Her first performance will take place on November 11, just two days after Michelle Williams departs. Reportedly, she’ll stick with the production until February 1, 2015. Better start planning that trip to NYC soon.

Directed by Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall, the production stars Alan Cumming, reprising the role of the Emcee that won him a Tony Award the first time around in 1998. The cast also features 2014 Tony nominees Linda Emond and Danny Burstein, along with Bill Heck, Aaron Krohn and Gayle Rankin.

Does Emma have what it takes to belt out the musical’s iconic numbers? Watch a video below where Stone sings “Bitch” during a singing competition on VH1 years ago and decide for yourself. Enjoy.

It appears A&E loves famous siblings. It’s swapping out burgers for beer.

With the success of Wahlburgers starring Donnie and Mark Wahlberg, which was recently renewed for a second season, the network announced it’s ordered a new reality series starring Nick and Drew Lachey. The 98 Degrees singers will star in Lachey’s Bar. It will chronicle their dream of opening a bar in Cincinnati. The 10 episode series is in production now and scheduled to air sometime in 2015.

“Despite their lack of knowledge about running a business, these determined brothers are ready to roll up their sleeves and learn the ins and outs of running a place where everybody knows your name,” said A&E in a press release. “Unfortunately, drinking experience doesn’t necessarily translate into drink-making experience… but they’re ready to learn.”

Do you think A&E has another hit on its hands? What famous brothers do you think the network will recruit next? Sound off below.
