Chocolate City which tells the story of a college student who turns to stripping in order to pay the bills hits theaters next weekend on March 19. Clearly, Tyson Beckford enjoyed his stint as a male exotic dancer. The 44-year-old model turned actor just booked a gig with the Chippendales.
“I am really excited to join the Chippendales show in Las Vegas,” Beckford tells People. “These guys provide a flirty and sexy yet playful experience for women, and being a part of that party each night just seems like fun.”
Beckford is the latest celebrity to guest host the famed male revue. Previous wearers of the iconic bow tie include Ian Ziering, Joe Lawrence and 98 Degrees’ Jeff Timmons. Tyson’s stint runs from from April 30th to May 24th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. If you want to see all that tasty chocolate up close and personal, book your trip now.
Speaking of chocolate, check out some footage from the Magic Mike-like film below. Tyson previously said, “Black strip clubs and white strip clubs are totally different.” I guess we’ll find out when the film is released. It also stars Michael Jai White, Vivica A. Fox and Carmen Electra.
Mean Moms has been in the works since 2013 when New Line Cinema secured the rights to Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads written by Rosaline Wiseman. She’s the same author who wrote Queen Bees and Wannabes which would later become the basis for Tina Fey’s screenplay for Mean Girls.
The past few days, the film has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue thanks to a fake movie poster that went viral on social media. I’m sure you caught a peek at it if you were at all online the past 48 hours.
The faux artwork featured Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock and Cameron Diaz with the tagline, “Too Sassy For You.” As it turns out, only one of the stars is actually attached to the project, with the other two only speculation. The studio confirmed that only the former Friends star has signed on.
When I first stumbled upon this, I thought Lena Dunham booked another hosting gig over at Saturday Night Live. Remember the hilarious SNL parody spoofing the ABC drama?
Believe it or not, the Girls actress legitimately scored a guest starring spot on Scandal. I’m sure the 28-year-old self-professed superfan shouted out with glee upon securing the job. Any Gladiator would kill to hang with Olivia Pope for a day.
On March 19, Dunham makes her scandalous debut on the episode titled “It’s Good To Be Kink.” Her character plans to expose the sex secrets of some of D.C.’s most elite. Enter Olivia to handle things.
Hollywood Reporter obtained exclusive pics of Lena’s guest spot. Personally, I can’t take them seriously. Just looking at the photos make me chuckle. I keep visualizing the SNL spoof. Check out a couple of pics below, along with the memorable sketch.
Disney’s live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast is beginning to shape up. Earlier this year, it was announced that Emma Watson had been tapped to play leading lady Belle. With Watson on board, I’m confident this project will be top notch. She’s shown extremely good taste selecting films post Harry Potter.
The Mouse studio is taking a huge risk with this adaptation. Beauty and the Beast became the first animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture and beloved by so many. Thankfully, they have a stellar team working on it.
Bill Condon (Dreamgirls and The Fifth Estate) directs the Stephen Chbosky-penned script. Watson previously worked with Chbosky on The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Find out below, who’s taking on the roles of Gaston and the titular Beast. Let’s just say, it’s an all UK affair.
With the success of black-ish and other ethnic-centric programming this season, this latest project from the alphabet network is a no-brainer.
When ABC announced its Uncle Buck reboot featuring an all African-American cast, I half expected the network to tap Kenan Thompson to fill John Candy’s shoes. Admit it, you thought so too. Alas, someone else will play the titular character. Find out who below.
CBS is keeping it in the superhero family for its DC Comics series, Supergirl. The network has tapped two stars who’ve previously donned the red cape to appear in the pilot.
Dean Cain played the Man of Steel in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman back in the 90s on ABC. Meanwhile, Helen Slater played Supergirl in the campy 1984 feature film. Coincidentally, both the 48-year-old actor and 51-year-old actress appeared in another Superman spin-off, Smallville on The WB. No word on what roles they are playing.
They join Glee alum Melissa Benoist who plays the female superhero in the new CBS offering. Supergirl is slated to premiere on CBS this fall. Find out who else is starring in the show below and also check out a photo of Benoist and Slater together on set.
Earlier this week, Kelly Osbourne threatened to quit E!’s Fashion Police over dreadlock-gate. Even though Giuliana Rancic apologized to Zendaya for her culturally-insensitive comments and Zendaya accepted her mea culpa, Kelly is still jumping ship.
“I WILL NOT BE DRAGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same,” Kelly previously tweeted.
After five years on the panel, the network confirmed that Osbourne quit. Read their official statement below.
Make your reservations now. Mother Monster is ready to check you in.
Apparently, the fifth season of the popular horror anthology is American Horror Story: Hotel. Not only that, but Lady Gaga has snagged a series regular role. The 28-year-old made the announcement in a video teaser via Twitter.
This marks Gaga’s biggest acting gig to date. She’s previously made minor appearances in such films like Machete Kills, Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For and Men in Black 3.
The “Bad Romance” singer is clearly re-inventing herself these days. From classing it up with Tony Bennett, stunning the entire world with her Oscars performance and now this. It’s definitely a far cry from the same woman who once wore a meat dress. Check out the announcement below which could’ve easily been taken from her Fame era.
