The BIG night has finally arrived. Since I have to head out the second The X Factor reveals the results, I’m going to write my recap as it happens live. It’s real-time blogging ya’ll. Carly Rose is probably going to win this thing, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Fifth Harmony pulls an upset. Like they sang, “Anything Could Happen.” Without further delay, let’s get the ball rolling.
The action kicks off with Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian on the red carpet. Side note: Khloe’s green lace dress is really pretty. All of a sudden, the judges start arriving via SUVs. As they get out of their ride, either Khloe or Mario interview them. Note to Simon Cowell, this isn’t the Golden Globes or the Academy Awards. This is kinda ridiculous. Even Lopez feels like a glorified valet. Speaking of Cowell, Khloe continues her streak of shamelessly flirting with him. Commenting how she loves his hairy chest. LOL. Demi looks pretty in her metallic mini.
This week, a new episode of Homorazzi aired on OUTtv (Episode 9 to be exact) and in case you missed it, we’ve got the full episode for you to check out below. Since Nic (one of our usual panelists) was away vacationing in Hawaii (stay tuned for coverage on that), Blue from OUTtv join in as a special guest!
As usual, the panel started off by tackling some of the latest Gossip and the most heated discussion took place on the topic of Rihanna & Chris Brown seemingly back in a relationship. The conversation then transitioned to Britney Spears & will.i.am‘s new “Scream & Shout” music video as well as comments on how she’s been doing on The X-Factor as a judge. Also discussed was Tegan & Sara‘s new “Closer” music video and we’d like to clarify that the Canadian indie rock duo are indeed both lesbians and twin sisters (despite some of the confusion discussed in the episode below – LOL).
In closing, they talk about the recent viral YouTube videos that started with “Gay Men Will Marry Your Girlfriends,” and a new gay British series worth checking out. Check out the episode below!
Looks like someone’s going to have a really good time tonight. Britney Spears is turning 31 and most probably going to celebrate it in a big way. I know I would. Where did the time go? It just seems like yesterday when this fresh-faced Lolita made a huge debut on the pop scene back in 1998. For a while there, it seemed that our beloved Brit wouldn’t even make it to her 30th. Remember her dark cray cray head shaving era? Glad she’s come out of that and “Stronger” than ever with her X Factor gig and recently released “Scream & Shout” music video.
In her already accomplished career, Britney has released seven studio albums and sold over 100 million records worldwide. With those numbers, she earns the accolade of being #1 female artist of the decade between 2000 to 2009. In that decade, she also racked up an astonishing 450 nominations at worldwide awards. She even has a Grammy and MTV VMAs to her credit. At only 31-years-old, we have plenty of years to enjoy this Mississippi-born singer for several more decades. Spears is definitely one of our favorite topics to write about. Here are just a few of our favorite posts.
What an exciting year for Britney Spears, and she’s raking in the dough in the process. According to Forbes, the “Scream & Shout” singer and The X Factor judge is the highest paid female musician of 2012. Earlier this year, she was noted as number 20 in the highest paid celebrities list.
Spears earned $58 million this year thanks to all of her endorsements, her fragrance line, album sales, and of course, her impressive X Factor salary (I feel like in every episode, every critique from Brit goes like this: “I thought that was really entertaining”). Side note: Her hat last night on The X Factor was fierce. Coming in second for the women on the list was Miss Taylor Swift. I guess with Red, she’s seeing green ;)
I should note that although Spears is tops the list for the women, she’s seventh in the Forbes list as a whole. Find out who the Top 25 highest paid musicians are for 2012 below. Also included are the amounts that each person made.
I have been watching The X Factor regularly this season but I was extra sure to tune in tonight for one special reason. No, it wasn’t to see if once again, Paige Thomas or Cece Frey dropped the musical ball. But instead, it was to check out the world premiere of will.i.am and Britney Spears’ highly anticipated new music video for Scream & Shout. After the few little sneak peeks we had received, I was ready for it.
First things first, Britney looks absolutely stunning every time she appears on screen. Her movements are characteristically Ms. Spears and fit perfectly into the kaleidoscope-like effect the entire video portrays. What’s hard not to notice is the incessant product placement of the technology throughout the entire clip. But hey, a man’s gotta make that paper right? And that iPad typewriter things is pretty cool.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the song when it first was released but in all honesty, it has completely grown on me and the accompanying video is definitely fun to watch. I wish there was bit more of Britney partaking in some full-out choreography but hey, we can’t have it all right? Check out the brand spankin’ new clip and share your thoughts in the comments. Do you think this clip will up it’s placement on the charts?
Spears was presented with the two awards by three of her biggest fans. The whole #VEVOCertified event for Britney is documented in a five videos (which I’ve included below). The first video shows her receiving the award, saying that it is probably one of the coolest awards she’s ever received. In the second video, Britney talks about making music videos, while in the third we hear from some of her Britney Superfans. In the fourth video, Britney provides a commentary on her “Till The World Ends” music video, while in the fifth she does the same for “I Wanna Go”.
Watch the videos below for your first Britney fix of the week. As you know, you’ll be seeing her later this week on The X Factor where she’ll debut her new “Scream & Shout” music video with will.i.am.
Britney Spears and will.i.am‘s music video for their Lazy Jay-produced “Scream & Shout” track will be unveiled this coming Wednesday, November 28, first premiering on The X Factor (which airs on FOX 8:00-10:00 pm ET live/PT tape-delayed). The video, directed by Ben Mor, will be available for viewing on VEVO immediately following the west coast broadcast.
The first preview has been released as part of a promo for this coming week of The X Factor. As you can see in the photo above, Britney looks feisty in her sexy black outfit and funky hair-do. Of course it’s a very short clip, but of course we’re used to that from Brit.
Regardless of it being a super short clip, it’s exciting to get a little taste of what to expect from the upcoming video. As the lyrics go, “It’s Britney, bitch!” Enjoy the preview below.
