I’m sure by now we’ve all heard snippets and low quality versions for “SMS (Bangerz),” right? Finally, we have a high-quality full-length edit of the much-buzzed about collaboration. Praise the pop gods. Does it live up to its potential? Yes and no.

The reason I say this is, because for everyone obsessed with it, there will be at least a couple haters. Myself, I’m on the fence now that I’ve heard the entire thing. Early on, I had high hopes for the final product. While there are moments of brilliance, surprisingly due to Brit, the track is a tad experimental without a solid conclusion. It’s got a decent beat but tuneless at the same time if that makes any sense.

On another note, Cyrus should stay clear of rapping for future reference. Don’t take my word for it, give it a listen below. I may sound foolish in thinking this, but at times the beat sounds somewhat similar to Salt-N-Pepa’s hit “Push It.” Am I losing it? Please validate me if you hear the same.

Miley Cyrus Previews Her Bangerz Album

In: Donovan, Music

We’re just days away from the official release of Bangerz. Who’s excited? Ashamedly I sorta am. You can imagine my excitement this morning when I woke up and found out that Miley Cyrus released a preview of her entire album. While it’s hard to fully judge a track based on a 30-second snippet, the teaser gives a sneak peek at the overall vibe of the entire album.

Executive produced by Mike WiLL Made It, Bangerz features plenty of hip-hop collaborations from Big Sean, Nelly, Future and French Montana. Not to mention the highly-anticipated collabo with Britney Spears. Even though I predict “(SMS) Bangerz” will be a letdown for most, I’m feelin’ the Miley-Brit duet. Other early standouts include “Do My Thang,” My Darlin’,” “Live Money Party” and “4×4.” Check out the preview below and weigh in afterward on which tracks you’re loving.

With a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino starting this Fall, it’s only natural Britney Spears ‘Vegas’ it up for her new music video. The 31-year-old entertainer just gave a sneak peak of her highly-anticipated “Work Bitch” video and she’s definitely working it, BITCH. Brit looks fierce and glamorous with her army of backup dancers in the Nevada desert.

The visual is directed by Ben Mor, the man behind “Scream and Shout!” With all the luxury vehicle name dropping on the track, naturally one rolls up in the vid. I can’t wait for the full-length clip. Check out the Instagram preview below.

Definitely proceed with caution on this one. Whether or not this is an actual snippet of Miley Cyrus’ highly-anticipated duet with Britney Spears won’t really matter for their fans. Smilers and members of Brit Army will eat anything up remotely related to the epic collaboration. It’s a symbolic passing of the torch from one pop princess to the other.

You can’t really tell much from the short low-quality audio snippet, but it’s worth a listen. If just to say you heard it, should anyone ask you about it this weekend 😉 Check it out below.

It was the worst kept secret in Hollywood or should I say Las Vegas, but it’s finally official. Britney Spears is headed to Las Vegas. The 31-year-old singer confirmed her two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Reportedly, Spears is getting paid $30 million for 50 shows. Not too shabby. Tickets go on sale September 20 with the first performance taking place December 27.

“We wanted the environment to be that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they’re in the show with me,” Spears told Good Morning America. ”I love Vegas. The energy here is really, really good.”

Titled Britney: Piece of Me, the show is being billed as a mix of theater and club. She’ll perform new material along with revisiting some of her greatest performances. Check out the announcement and exclusive interview below which included over 1,000 fans holding placards revealing #AllEyesOnBritney.

With the official release on iTunes happening Monday night (September 16) at midnight, and her GMA performance tomorrow morning, Britney Spears‘ highly anticipated “Work Bitch” has found it’s way online a day early.

In the track, Brit sings, “You want a Bugatti? You want a Maserati? You better work, bitch.” The pop star lays it down and sings that if you want the goods, you better work (a la RuPaul). “You want a Lamborghini / Sip martinis / Look hot in a bikini / You better work bitch.” Expect the song to be blasting in the clubs starting tonight.

Listen to it below and share your thoughts. Is it what you expected? Do you love it? All I know is that with the lyrics and fast & upbeat the track is, she and her dancers better work it out in the music video.

In: Donovan, Music

If you’re anything like the majority of my friends, you’ve undoubtedly been counting down til Tuesday when Britney Spears makes a huge announcement. I like Brit, but not nearly as obsessed as my crazy friends 😉 I’ve been waiting for something concrete before posting about her upcoming “Work Bitch” era. At long last, the time has come. Here’s what we know so far about it.

Simply effing amazing. I know that word is beyond overused these days, but it’s the perfect one to describe this truly sensational performance. Comedienne Christina Bianco covers Bonnie Tyler’s 80s classic “Total Eclipse of The Heart” while impersonating 19 divas. Her Julie Andrews and Christina Aguilera moments are EVERYTHING. Also impressive are her Bette Midler, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Cher and Alanis Morissette impersonations.

It’s uncanny how she can switch up her voice to sound exactly like these ladies. She starts off her performance with Adele, which IMHO is her weakest, but it definitely builds from there. Check out the video below, I guarantee you’ll enjoy it.
