Back in 2000, Britney Spears sang a song about a girl named “Lucky“. Remember that ditty? Twelve years later, the 30-year-old singer is gracing the cover of Lucky magazine. Her cover leaves me asking one huge question. Why in the world is she wearing a wig? At least that’s what it looks like? Did Miss Spears shave her head, oops one more time? The hairline looks awkward, especially in the pictures inside the December 2012 issue. I’m sure Team Xtina will be proclaiming the “Genie In A Bottle” singer’s Lucky October 2012 cover is better. Check out the pictures below along with a few quotes from her interview.

On Her Son’s Thoughts Regarding Her Career

“They’re in the middle right now of trying to figure it out. They try to figure out where I go when I go to film X Factor. They’re like, ‘Mommy’s going off to be a superhero.’ and then I get back, and they just see me as Mommy. And then when I’m back working on the show, they say, ‘Oh, Mommy’s a superhero again!’”

The X Factor has been a lot of fun this season so far, and with the live shows just around the corner with Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian as judges, there’s a whole lot more in store.

This week, the judges released videos as mock election-type campaigns against each other. In Simon’s, he targets Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid. In the video, he says all of them are pushy and then takes a jab at their credibility by saying Britney Spears is “flirty“, Demi Lovato “crosses boundaries“, and that L.A. Reid is “suggestive” with both men and women. He suggests that those three judges refuse to remain impartial while judging. The video wraps up with emphasizing how amazing Cowell is and that America deserves a judge like him. “I’m Simon Cowell and I approved this message,” he says at the end. Watch the silliness below.

Find out what the other judges had to say about each other in their campaign videos below.

During her “dark phase,” Britney Spears released the Blackout album on October 26, 2007 (as a side note, today is also Homorazzi cast member, Tyrell‘s birthday!) At that time, the album hit number two on the Billboard 200 with very little promotion. That being said, it took up until May of 2012 to hit platinum, officially selling one million copies.

This was a time where you stuck by Britney, or you wrote her off as a trainwreck. It was a comeback, then it wasn’t, then it was… etc. I was definitely on #TeamBritney the whole way and actually really loved this album. It’s the only studio album of Brit’s to not debut at number one on the Billboard 200. What happened? It was outsold by the Eagles’ Long Road Out of Eden album that was sold at Walmart. The bargain chain then put out a press release that the Eagles sold double of what Spears had done and then Billboard did a controversial and shady rule change that allowed the sales from Walmart to count, in turn making Britney number two.

If you recall, she received the MTV Video of the Year for “Piece Of Me” that year and overall, critics and fans alike loved the album. Rolling Stone critic Rob Sheffield went so far as to say that the unique electronic sound in 2007 inspired many contemporary pop albums and artists. Back in January of 2011, he also added that the album is “possibly the most influential pop album of the last five years.” I’m totally pressing play on this album right now. Listen to it below and vote for your favorite tracks from the album. Happy 5-Year Anniversary, Blackout!

With the broadcast fail of ‘The X Factor‘ last night, we’re going to talk about Britney Spears‘ alleged new home instead. That being said, if you do want to know who made it to the live shows, our Top 16 Spoilers article has been 100% accurate thus far.

As the title mentions, Britney’s speculated new home is not the one shown on The X Factor (big surprise). I say “alleged” and “speculated” because although The Real Estalker believes it to be pretty accurate having some unsolicited sources, it hasn’t been confirmed. The mansion is located in Thousand Oaks, California and had a listing price of $8.5 million. It boasts 8,456 square feet with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It is located behind the gates of prestigious Sherwood Country Club. The pictures are stunning: High ceilings, luxurious decor, open-concept, and a spectacular view.

Boy would I love to live in this house. The gigantic pool is definitely a plus. Check out the pictures of the property below.

I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely excited about the Judges Homes Round on The X Factor this week. We’ll finally know for sure (despite the Top 16 Spoilers) who has made it through and who has which judge as their mentor.

This week, we get to see the superstar guest judges stop by the judges homes to help them analyze the contestants and provide their own feedback and opinions on each of them. At Will.I.Am is at Britney Spears’ house, Justin Bieber & Scooter Braun are at L.A. Reid’s house, Marc Anthony is at Simon Cowell’s house, and Nick Jonas is at Demi Lovato’s place. Based on the preview below, it looks like it’ll be a good episode.

Also, at the beginning of the preview, we see L.A. Reid storm off after hearing some disappointing news on the phone. Watch all the drama and discussion in the preview belw.

A few months ago, photos of Britney Spears dressed as Cleopatra surfaced online. Now, we finally have our first look at the finished product. The X Factor judge donned gold attire to film a commercial for her newest fragrance, Fantasy Twist. This is Spears’ 11th perfume released with Elizabeth Arden. To date, Britney has reportedly sold approximately one billion bottles of her perfume since her debut fragrance Curious back in 2004. That’s a whole lot of girls (and some gays) smelling like the “Toxic” singer.

“I created Fantasy Twist to give women the power to choose their own destiny at will,” says Britney Spears in a statement. “Fantasy Twist embodies the two different sides of myself that I believe are also present in every woman. With notes of chocolate, jasmine, and kiwi, the Fantasy side captures me at my most sweet and sensual, making it perfect for daytime wear. Midnight Fantasy is for after dark, when I’m at my most mysterious and alluring. It contains notes of framboise and black cherry to create the enticing sense of danger that comes from a kiss with a seductive stranger.”

In the 50-second clip, the 30-year-old singer appears in four different looks including the aforementioned Cleopatra get-up. She sashays, vogues and whacks down a hallway while Goldfrapp’s “Beautiful” plays in the background. I wonder why none of Brit’s songs were used instead? Check out her new commercial which begins with a quote from French-Cuban author Anais Nin, “We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.”

During the week of October 3, 1992, Billboard launched its Pop Songs radio airplay chart, gauging the biggest hits on mainstream Top 40 radio. To commemorate the chart’s 20th anniversary, Billboard is counting down the Top 100 Pop Songs on the chart over the past two decades (1992-2012). From rock to country music and everything in between, each genre is represented well in the countdown. That said, you’ll be surprised to know who lands in the Top 10.

Given that it’s a Pop Chart, you’d assume the artists in the above picture would’ve made the upper echelon of the list. Sure Katy Perry, Britney Spears, LMFAO and Adele make the Top 100 cut, but fail to make the Top 10. Instead, the list is occupied mostly by pop-rock ballads with a dance track thrown in for good measure. Even more shocking is who landed the No. 1 slot. Here are a few highlights from the Top 100 Pop Song list, with the Top 10 after that.

  • 97. “Grenade” Bruno Mars (2011)
  • 81. “My Love” Justin Timberlake Featuring T.I
  • 79. “Stickwitu” The Pussycat Dolls
  • 73. “Complicated” Avril Lavigne (2002)
  • 68. “Promiscuous” Nelly Furtado
  • 66. “Genie In A Bottle” Christina Aguilera
  • 51. “Lovefool” The Cardigans
  • 48. “The Sign” Ace Of Base

Last night, the second Britney Spears-themed episode for Glee aired, aptly titled “Britney 2.0″. The episode followed the downward spiral of Brittany S. Pierce as her grades slipped, she got cut from the Cheerios, and she quits Glee Club after a trainwreck lipsync performance.

The episode was full of hilarious lines and obvious parallels between what Britanny was going through and what Britney Spears went through when she had her big meltdown. Everything from shaving her head and attacking a paparazzo with an umbrella, to her epic trainwreck performance of “Gimme More“. The comparison was complete with the Cheetohs, the giant coffees…and someone screaming, “Leave Britney alone!

I thought it was hilarious, but a friend of mine on my Facebook felt otherwise and I can see her point. She wrote, “I don’t want to be the negative one but while I loved the music I found the making fun of the meltdown offensive. Britney Spears was probably suffering from a mental illness, so mean to poke fun of. Also the cheeto and overeating part….. I thought Glee was about acceptance and anti-bullying, I was dissapointed.”

What do you think- sas Glee bullying Britney with this content? Share your thoughts in the comments after you re-watch all of the performances below.
