Okay, so much is going on. Michele’s the HOH, Chima and Natalie are on the block, and Chima gets has gone off the deep end. This is probably was one of the most anticipated episodes of Big Brother ever! What the heck happened!!

Chima’s obviously upset that Michele has put her on the block. In reference to Chima in the Diary Room, Michele says, “I don’t think my friendship with her is worth $500,000.” Totally. Well said, Michele. It’s funny how the people that are losing for once lose sight of the fact that the game is a game, and not about long lasting friendships and being nice to each other. Chima has lost sight of reality (or reality TV in this case) and as Jeff puts it, “She’s a nightmare!”

Chima starts talking about about the fact she wants out of the game: “I’m not giving them the satisfaction of voting me out of this house.” She starts to not wear her microphone. She’s just super negative and is not following the rules anymore. The backyard has been set up for the veto competition that is taking place the next day, and houseguests are invited to practice at their leisure. Given the face that Chima and Natalie are on the block, Natalie sends Kevin to go wake Chima up to come down and practice. She agrees, but she doesn’t wear her microphone.

“Chima, please put on your microphone,” Big Brother says over the intercom. “I don’t give shit,” Chima says aloud. Things are not looking good. She is completely ignoring and disobeying Big Brother. “Chima, please go to the diary room,” Big Brother insists. Cut to Chima throwing clothes over top of the camera to obstruct the cameras. In Big Brother, you have to wear the mic 24/7….

I KNEW she was bad news. Chima Simone, the 32 year old freelance journalist from West Hollywood was sent home after last night’s broadcast for breaking the show’s rules. She isn’t even going to be part of the jury! Here’s what CBS said:

“Below is a statement from CBS regarding Chima’s departure:

CBS Statement Regarding Chima on Big Brother: “Chima has been evicted by the producers from the Big Brother house for violating the rules. She will not be part of the show’s jury. Her eviction will be addressed on an upcoming broadcast of the show.”

Thanks,

So last episode, Jesse went home (yippee!), Michele became the HOH (anything can happen – yikes!), and there is A LOT of tension in the house. Chima is PISSED at Jeff for orchestrating Jesse’s eviction and taking away her power. Natalie’s pretty pissed too as her sidekick is gone. They’re mostly just extremely threatened that their power has finally been overthrown and Russell remains alive and well in the house, despite their every effort. That is what Chima wants most – to get Russell out and she thought she had it in the bag. She was wrong.

Jesse’s bitches are ridiculous. In this episode, they were worshiping him as if he was a God: Natalie, Lydia, and Chima….acted as if Jesse had passed on. He was only evicted ladies! They drank his bottle of wine and shed tears of Jesse, as the glorified his name. Barf! Kevin sat with them but rolled his eyes the whole time. As Kevin put it, “OMG these girls…!

So outside, Michele told Russell, Jeff, and Jordan that she wanted to put Chima up. As Jeff put it when referring to Chima, “She puts a raincloud over everything.” At this point, I’m hopeful that Michele sticks to her word, but it WAS her idea and it wasn’t them trying to convince her to do so, so it’s looking good….

So with this episode, we’re going into Jeff’s last chance to use the Coup d’Etat, and for sure he’s gonna use it. He’d be stupid not to in my opinion. Other than Jeff, the only two people guaranteed safety this week are Chima (HOH) and Kevin (POV).

So Jesse is incredibly paranoid about the mystery power. He and Natalie suspect that either Jeff or Jordan have it. They decide that they should try to get on their good side, and uncharacteristically decide to spend the day out side with them. Jordan and Jesse are not stupid and realize that they are scheming and obviously feeling threatened.

Russell, who is actually ON the chopping block, is also scrambling. At one point, he and Jesse are talking outside while they play pool, but there is an incredible amount of tension because Jesse still feels betrayed that Russell had chosen Jeff in the POV competition over him, putting him at risk with the mystery power floating around. Nothing is really resolved in their conversation.

Later, Russell talks to Michelle in private in their room, discussing joining him, Jordan, and Jeff in an alliance. Natalie and Jesse know that the two are talking, so Jesse barges in and says to Michele, “Wasn’t it 4 or 5 days ago when he was calling you crazy?” Obviously, she knows that and is talking to Russell on her own free will, but Jesse can’t stand that Russell is trying to scheme his way back to safety. Michele leaves the room as the two beefcakes bark at each other….

Though tonight’s telecast will still air at its scheduled time, the show will not be live. Instead it will be taped live several hours before than normal. Why, you ask? It seems the producers are so scared of what Chima will do on the live show if the Coup d’Etat is used that they aren’t taking any risks. A little backstory here:

During the first live eviction of the season, Chima gave a very “colorful” speech in which she attacked Braden for being a homophobic, racist and misogynistic. By the time the show aired on the west coast, the expletives were bleeped out but not for the east coasters. After being attacked and fined for Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction years ago, CBS has been very careful not to piss off the FCC.

Shortly into this episode, Jeff and Russell reconfirm their newish alliance, which also includes Jordan. Obviously it’s dependant on what happens in the POV competition. Once that’s done, Russell then tries to get Michele on his side. Doesn’t go so well. They’re playing pool and he starts referencing what Ronnie had said to Michele when he was evicted, saying no one should ever have to deal with that. Then he went back to when he was upset about Michele lying in front of Chima, and Michele still denied it. Michele gets mad then goes into the HOH room to vent with Chima and Natalie. The girls confide in each other, growing tired of the boys and decide that the three of them need to get rid of the boys in the end. It’s all getting so messy!

Time to choose players for Veto Competition…

HOH is Chima so she’s in, and so are the nominees, Lydia and Russell. The three other players turn out to be Natalie, Russel got houseguest choice and picked Jeff (sealing his fate with his previous alliance with Jesse, Natalie, etc.), and Lydia also got Houseguest Choice and chose her best friend Kevin. Chima selected Michele to host. In the diary room, Jesse said it was the end of the road for “Russell and Jesse” when Russell picked Jeff instead of him.

Ugh, as the episode started I was reminded that Chima was HOH – nightmare. At the same time, I was also reminded that Jeff has the Coup d’Etat, meaning that he’s the one with the actual power this week. Excellent. Nobody knows he has it or what the power is, so they’ve coined it “The Wizard.”

Chima has to put two people up for nomination today. She tells Michele that she wants a woman to win, so she is hesitant in putting women up for eviction. She thinks she wants to put Russell up, but Jesse and Natalie want to keep him as a potential number, even though they don’t completely trust him. Russell senses this and realizes he needs to do something to save his ass, so he apologized to Chima for their differences and things he had said to her in the past.

So I guess the houseguests were telling each other sad stories, and whoa, Chima had the saddest for sure. Ten years ago, Chima was raped by a serial killer, and survived. The guy was apparently put on death row and has since been killed. It sort of changed everyone’s opinion of Chima, myself included. She is pretty tough and rubs people the wrong way, but with something like that, you can understand how that has shaped who she is. I have a new found respect for her.

So in this episode someone goes home, someone is safe, the coup d’etat and it’s power holder are revealed, and a new HOH is in place. At this point, because the coup d’etat is still looming, the only people safe are Russell (HOH) and Michele (POV).

That being said, Russell gets paranoid. He thinks Michele and Jordan are talking about him, even though they are talking about literature. He tries to talk to them separately to find out what they were talking about, and when he talks to Michele about it in the HOH room, Russell talks about his worries. Michele then goes on to tell him that she has been in meetings where Jesse, Chima, and Natalie say that they should backdoor Russell. Russell knows they are already mad at him because he put Ronnie up for eviction, but he is taken aback by this. So Russell confronts Jesse on what Michele said about Chima wanting to backdoor him. Jesse denies. Natalie is then brought into it and she is sent to get Chima and and tell her to go upstairs to meet with Russell. Chima goes up and listens and denies Michele’s accusations that Russell relays to her, so she says to bring Michele in there. Michele comes in and denies saying anything. Yikes. Michele, bad move – I know she was mad that Russell blabbed what she said, but now she looks like a liar to both. Then, the fight just comes between the two loud mouths and Russell and Chima start yelling their heads off at each other.

This week’s HOH is Russell, the nominees have been decided as Ronnie and Lydia, and the number of people in the house is lower each week. People are started to scramble and the once strong power house alliance founded by athletes and Ronnie the Rat is now threatened. This alliance consists of Jesse, Natalie, Chima, Ronnie, and in the past included Russell. Russell is working smarter now. Russell knows that Ronnie is a liar and cannot be trusted. As far as he is concerned, Ronnie made his bed and he should lie in it and he’ll be more than happy to but the tombstone on it. Chima on the other hands tries to talk to Russell and convince him to get Lydia out instead. Then Jesse and Natalie come in and they’re working Russell as well, but he’s not budging. He’s made up his mind.

Later one, Natalie talks to Michele as they play pool, and tries to convince Michele to keep Ronnie in since they know that she is kind of the swing vote. Jesse joins in as well as he sees her as a floater, which worries them. They know she can go either way.
