I never thought I’d see the day. Has hell frozen over and I didn’t get the memo. Just two days after wrapping up the summer leg of her Mrs. Carter Tour, the 31-year-old singer debuts a brand new look. Gone are her signature long luscious locks and now she’s sporting a short blond pixie haircut.

Whatever is she going to do with those high-powered fans? Speaking of the wind blowing machines, I wonder if this new drastic change has something to do with that mishap recently at her concert which found her weave stuck in a fan. Perhaps she has a phobia regarding those machines now?

Check out a trio of Instagram selfies below showing off her new look.

Who knew Beyonce was so civic minded? During the Detroit stop of her Mrs. Carter World Tour, the 31-year-old singer covered Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” and dedicated it to the Motor City. Why? The city which at one time was a thriving industrial center- the heart of America’s auto industry- and one of America’s most important cities recently declared bankruptcy. It became the largest US city ever to do so with over $18 billion in debts. Check out Bey’s video tribute below, highlighting the people of Detroit and its contributions including Motown, the automobile industry, city landmarks and everything in between.

Let’s not get it twisted. Beyonce isn’t the first female musician to go all Marie Antoinette on us with gigantic huge wigs. Plenty of others have previously gone the royal route including Madonna who famously did so during her iconic MTV VMA “Vogue” performance. What has many people’s tongues wagging with Katy Perry’s teaser for her new fragrance is the fact it’s so soon after Beyonce dropped her Mrs. Carter Show world tour promo.

Even more head-scratching is the fact both visuals were directed by Jonas Akerlund. You would think he would’ve come up with a brand new concept for Perry’s “Killer Queen” promos. Check out both clips below, along with side-by-side still comparisons. It seems Akerlund just phoned it in during this assignment. They’re practically identical, except Bey’s is a tad fiercer.

Uh oh, Beyoncé had another incident with a fan on her Mrs. Carter World Tour. This time it wasn’t a man slapping her butt, but rather with her trusty wind machine. To be perfectly honest, given her love with these high-powered fans, I’m surprised this hasn’t happened sooner to her or J. Lo or other divas who are obsessed with wind in face.

The incident occurred in Montreal, Canada last night. Ever the professional, Bey continued to belt out “Halo” as stagehands attempted to free her. Even though she doesn’t miss a beat, you can clearly see in her eyes she’s a tad fearful. The star was in good humor about the incident after the show, taking to her Instagram to post both video and a fun note about the ordeal. Check out the incident below.

Beyonce Debuts Revamped Website With New Video

In: Donovan, Music

I would give anything to figure out what Beyonce’s master plan is for this year. I’m completely perplexed on what her end goal is. She started the year with performances at the Super Bowl and Presidential Inauguration. Bey then followed that up with ad campaigns for H&M and Pepsi. Soon thereafter she embarked on the Mrs. Carter World Tour. But with all that, no music videos or singles have been officially released nor details about her upcoming fifth studio album. What gives?

Today, we finally get a new visual from the 31-year-old singer. However, it’s not a music video (though “Grown Woman” is played throughout), but rather to debut her newly-revamped website. Only Beyonce ;) She flashes a major grill while wearing a sequined cat-like hat in the short clip. Who knows what it all means? Hopefully, something substantial. I’m getting a tad impatient. I want music videos and a new album by the time her tour stops in my city in November. Check out the vid below.

“Icon status is an elusive, wild beast.” That’s how Beyonce’s editorial piece begins in the latest issue of Flaunt magazine. The 31-year-old looks as Sasha fierce as ever. If you watched Bey’s behind-the-scenes footage of her MTV documentary, Year of the 4, you might recognize this Tony Duran-snapped shoot. Not sure why this 2011 African-themed spread is only surfacing now. Whatever the reason, I’m sure Bey’s fans are thankful they’ve finally surfaced.

Check out the photos below, along with quotes from her interview with the publication which includes her thoughts on being a gay icon, criticism for her Pepsi endorsement and what iconic piece of architecture she’d make out in.

On Why Gay Men Love Icons Like Madonna, Judy Garland, Cher, Barbra Streisand and Herself

“I’m flattered if I’m in the company of those great women. I think they love that we are bold, unafraid to love, and flaunt our sexuality and strength.”

A few days ago Jay-Z and Beyonce’s sequel to their monster 2002 duet “Bonnie & Clyde” titled “Part II On The Run” surfaced. Today a new version of the Timbaland-produced cut has leaked featuring only Beyonce. Without Jay-Z’s street swagger, the track transforms to a soulful and smooth jam. Beyonce’s breathy vocals are absolutely divine on their own.

While I do love me some Jiggaman, I much prefer this new sultry take without the “n word” being dropped all over the place. With all that being said, even without her husband’s accompaniment, you can still feel his presence. Give the solo version a listen below. As a side note: Who else is tired of all these Beyonce tracks leaking without any official music videos or word on her upcoming album? Papa is getting a little impatient here.

Jay-Z & Beyonce Reunite For Bonnie & Clyde Sequel

In: Donovan, Music

Jay-Z’s next album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, features collaborations with Frank Ocean, Rick Rubin, Justin Timberlake and Nas to name a few. Without a doubt the most highly-anticipated is his duet with Beyonce. The married couple reunite for a sequel to 2002’s “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” titled “Part II (On the Run).”

“I’m an outlaw/ Gotta outlaw chick/ Bumping Tupac/ On my outlaw sh–,” Jigga raps before making reference to the couple’s ring-finger tattoos. “Matching tatts this ink don’t come off/ Even if rings come off/ If things ring off/ My nails get dirty.”

For the release of his new album, the 43-year-old rapper partnered with Samsung. He’s been teasing details about the project through the company’s app. Samsung pre-ordered one million copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail and will distribute them to some users of the app. News of “Part II (On the Run)” is the latest to be made public through the mobile software. Take a listen of the new track below.
