Forbes has just released their list of the Most Influential Celebrities for 2013 and it’s no surprise that Oprah Winfrey tops the list once again. It’s no surprise given the fact that she has a network, makes her round doing influential speaking engagements (which I had the pleasure of attending about a month ago), and a whole lot of other great things going for her. She also gets some pretty big names for her interviews on Oprah’s Next Chapter, including the recent Lance Armstrong special.

You may wonder how the list is determined and that is by E-Poll Research surveys. E-Poll Chief Executive Gerry Philpott says the term “influential” can mean different things to different people, but most of the time it speaks to someone’s impact on the culture. It’s not always a sign that the celebrity is well-liked. There are some interesting people on the list, like Steven Spielberg, for example. How can he be considered influential as a director? Well one example Philpott says is, “To this day, ask anyone what they think about before going in the ocean,” says Philpott (referencing Spielberg’s 1975 film Jaws).

With this all in mind, check out the list of celebrities that made the top 10 list below.

Who’s Leaving The View?

In: Donovan, TV Shows

I’m truly flabbergasted. I never expected this from this woman. Deadline.com is reporting that one of the ladies is leaving when her contract expires in August. When the site talked to this co-host, she revealed she was leaving to focus on other projects. ABC released a statement stating this woman was instrumental in the success of The View and said the following.

“We wish her all the best in this next chapter, and are thrilled that we have her for the remainder of the season.” – ABC

With Barbara Walters reportedly scaling back her involvement on the show, and this co-host leaving, the panel is definitely going to look quite differently when the ABC daytime talk show returns for a 17th season in September. Find out who’s leaving below.

Mariah Carey recently sat down for a one-on-one interview with Barbara Walters where she talked about her experience on American Idol thus far and with that also talked about the Nicki Minaj feud. The two female judges have apparently since reconciled by are rumored to be sitting on opposite sides fo the panel. Barbara also asked if $18 million was in the ballpark for how much she’s getting paid for being a judge and Carey reluctantly answered that yes, that’s in the ballpark.

Aside from American Idol, Walters asked about her relationship with the sexy Nick Cannon and showed some never before seen clips of the two of them in Paris on the Eiffel Tower. She also talked about how it is raising the twins and about her music career.

The season premiere of American Idol takes place on Wednesday, January 16 & Thursday, January 17 at 8/7c on FOX. Check out the Walters / Carey interview below.

Last night, Lindsay Lohan was on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to promote the premiere of Liz & Dick which airs this coming Sunday, November 25. Lohan was just on The Today Show last week and did a brief skit on Jimmy Fallon before that.

As you probably already know, that fact that Lohan canceled on doing an interview with Barbara Walters and then scheduled in Jay Leno didn’t make Barbara very happy. Jay Leno wasted no time and asked about this whole situation at the beginning of the interview. Lohan explained that it wasn’t the right timing and that when she’s ready to sit down for that type of interview, Barbara, who she said she is a big fan of, will be the first person she calls.

Later in the interview, they talked about all of the crazy tabloid rumors, as well as one story that is true and that is that she just found out while on The Today Show that her father (Michael Lohan) did have another child and that Lindsay has a half-sister. Lindsay said about the situation that if she could offer the girl any advice, that is, “Good luck with my dad.” Check out some of the clips from the interview below.

In the second episode of the MTV’s three-part documentary, Nicki Minaj: My Truth, we continue following her everyday life as she is working on a music video with Laurieann Gibson, recording new music with Lil Wayne, preparing for her arena tour, and starting on American Idol.

At one part in the episode, Nicki talks about the Mariah Carey incident and how she was reacting to Mariah constantly pushing her buttons with passive-aggressive comments. She also says that she’s smarter than to make a threat involving a gun and that it was made up. Later, she then talks about Barbara Walters getting involved, saying, “Am I not good enough for you to get on my side because I’m a little black girl that raps? Because if I was J Lo, you woulda called J Lo’s camp. But are we not good enough for you, Barbara? You wasn’t even there when I was on the show, Barbara. So I guess I’m not good enough, but I’m only good enough for you to tell the people that I’m ‘unpredictable’ when you don’t f*cking know me.”

The special three-part “Nicki Minaj: My Truth” wraps up next Sunday at 10:30 p.m. ET on E! Check out episode 2 below (before it gets taken down).

Back in mid-October, it was announced that Lindsay Lohan was going to be sitting down for a one-on-one interview with Barbara Walters which would air around the time the Liz & Dick Lifetime movie premiere.

Recently, Lindsay Lohan backed out of the interview, apparently advised by her new “people” because they were uncomfortable with the questions that Walters was going to ask. Walters insisted that most of all of the questions were to compare her life to Elizabeth Taylor’s.

Now, it’s been confirmed that Lindsay Lohan will be sitting down for an interview with Jay Leno and Walters is not happy. On The View this morning, she shared that she has worked with the people that represent Lindsay Lohan for a long time and would like to continue, but she is very “disappointed” with how they handled this. How “revenge-y” of Barbara to threaten Lindsay’s “people” with her future “business” with them… love it! LOL. As a side note, how good was last night’s episode of Revenge!? “This one time at Revenge-camp…” Anyway, watch the clip of Barbara discussing this issue on The View this morning below.

In the next couple weeks, Lindsay Lohan will sit down with Barbara Walters in a one on one interview. Barbara apparently reached out to her to do an interview with her when it had been announced that she would be playing Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming biopic, Liz & Dick.

Lindsay has allegedly stayed away from these one one one interviews for the most part because she has feared the interviewer asking her questions she’s not prepared to answer. She trusts that Barbara won’t take things too far and that the interview is to talk more about the parallels between her life and the life of Elizabeth Taylor. There are many similarities in terms of child stardom, a rough upbringing, life in the spotlight, and of course addiction.
