Poor Audrey Hepburn. While fellow dead icons like Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Marlene Dietrich appeared with Charlize Theron in Dior’s J’Adore commercial, the Breakfast at Tiffanys actress rises from the dead to hawk milk chocolate. Not nearly as glamorous, but I’m sure pretty lucrative for her estate. Her children Sean Ferrer and Luca Dotti stated that their mother was a chocolate fan and would’ve been “proud” to be in the ad. Yeah, right!!! Lol.
The Hollywood legend is the new face of Galaxy chocolate. Hepburn is digitally resurrected using footage from her iconic flick Roman Holiday. She’s shown riding in a bus, but ditches it when she sees a hottie in a sleek convertible. The two then ride off enjoying the Almafi coast and Galaxy chocolate of course.
This isn’t the first time Audrey rose from the dead to shill product. Since her death in 1993, she’s appeared in ads for Gap and Ikea. I wonder what will be next. It’ll be interesting to see if this endorsement deal puts her in Forbes Top 10 Earning Dead Celebrities For 2013. She didn’t make last year’s cut. Check out the commercial below.
EW has one of Hollywood’s leading funny ladies on the cover of their new issue – Tina Fey. Her hit show 30 Rock is soon coming to an end, after seven seasons, 10 Emmys, and countless catchphrases from her character, Liz Lemon: “Blerg! I want to go to there! High-fiving a million angels!”
In the issue, Fey talks about the upcoming season, the other big projects that have kept her busy over the past several years, and what she wants for the future. “I would love to get another TV show on the air someday.” We would love that too, Tina!
Fey looks phenomenal as Audrey Hepburn‘s Holly Golightly character from the infamous Breakfast At Tiffany’s movie. Check out the full magazine cover below, where Tina Fey reenacts the film poster shown on the left in the above header photo. The final season of 30 Rock premieres October 4 at 8pm.
I AM A MUSIC VIDEO ADDICT. I’m the first one to view it, first one to post it, and what’s better than seeing visuals to a song that make you love the song even more than you thought was possible. It was a big year for highly visual music videos and I have no lack of material to add to this list. This is MY list and if you disagree then comment below and tell me what your favourites were this year.
Two Words: Mercedes Maybach
Alright Beyoncé fans, get ready to go mod with your Queen B. The singer’s new single is vibrant and spastic (in a good way) and the music video matches it perfectly. Pulling some inspiration for the legendary Audrey Hepburn and her funny faces and dances, B and her crew pull out a colorful video that is sure to put a smile on your face.
The video is directed by Adria Petty and if you’ve seen Beyoncé’s “Sweet Dreams” video, you’ll see some of the editing and shooting similarities. If you think that the song has a few memorable notes, you’re not wrong. “Countdown” samples the great Boyz II Men track “Uh Ahh.” Check out B’s new video below.
Wow. Wow. Wow. It looks Beyoncé is going to show us all how it’s done once again. A while back, Patrick informed us that Countdown would be B’s next single and now, we are already being teased with a 30 second preview of what we can expect. Even though it’s only a little taste, I’m already so excited for the full version to be released!
Channeling her inner Audrey Hepburn, Beyoncé looks cute as a button in her black bob wig and black capris with white socks. How mod of you. There are certain shots in the video that remind a lot of Ring The Alarm in it’s sharp precision. I know the songs are nothing alike but you’ll see when you check out the preview.
The Adria Petty video airs this Thursday so everyone get set to “countdown” until then. Okay, I know my puns are as funny as Patrick’s so just go watch the clip below.
