America’s Next Top Model just won’t die. Almost immediately after The CW canceled the long-running reality show, there were rumblings that other networks were interested in picking it up. Apparently, for a competition show, ANTM reruns do quite well.

VH1 appears to have won. The cable network announced it picked up the show for a 14-episode Cycle 23, but with one major change. Tyra Banks will no longer host the show, but will remain as an executive producer, along with Ken Mok. Read her statement below.

Tyra Banks couldn’t have found a better winner to cap off America’s Next Top Model. Not only was Nyle DiMarco a charismatic guy but dude could take a mean photo. The 26-year-old stunner had smizing down to a fine art.

Buzzfeed tapped DiMarco for an exclusive shoot to celebrate New York Fashion Week: Men. Photographed by Taylor Miller, Nyle shows off the skills that helped him walk away with the last ANTM crown. Check out plenty more pics below.

News of America’s Next Top Model’s untimely death may have been greatly exaggerated. The long-running reality show might not yet be headed to the television graveyard after all.

Just a couple weeks ago, The CW announced it was canceling ANTM. According to the network, Cycle 22 would be the last and a retrospective special was slated to air next year. Hardcore fans should be pleased to learn that Cycle 23 might become a reality.

Transgender models have appeared previously on global versions of the Top Model franchise, most notably Isis King on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 11 and ANTM: All Stars. None of them, however, have ever walked away with the title. That is, until now.

Over 640,000 Dutch viewers tuned in this week to witness Loiza Lamers make history. The 20-year-old stunner won Season 8 of Holland’s Next Top Model, becoming the first transgender from the Top Model franchise to do so. Loiza later took to Instagram to thank her fans.

“Dear all!!! Thank you for all your votes sweet comments and support. I am so very happy with everything I got to experience. Thanks thanks thanks!”

Born male named Lucas, Lamers underwent surgeries when she turned 18. When the former hairdresser entered the competition, no one knew of her transgender status. As the competition went on, Loiza decided to tell her story a few weeks before the live finale.

Check out her winning moment below, along with photos from the cycle’s photoshoots. Congrats to Loiza for making history.

The CW Finally Cancels America’s Next Top Model

In: Donovan, TV Shows

It’s deuces bitches!!! America’s Next Top Model is about to sashay down the runway for the very last time.

The CW announced the long-running modeling competition will end on December 4 when Cycle 22 crowns its final Top Model winner. Believe it or not, a world without smizing, booty tooching, Ty-overs and my personal favorite, Pot Ledom, is upon us.

“America’s Next Top Model was a successful franchise for two networks, first at UPN and then The CW, and it became not just a ratings hit, but a global pop culture phenomenon,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz in a statement. “I want to thank Tyra [Banks] and Ken [Mok] for all their years of success in establishing a show that was not just popular in the U.S., but all across the world”

ANTM first premiered on UPN in 2003. When UPN and The WB merged, the Tyra Banks show was the first show to air on The CW. With ANTM officially dunzo, Supernatural is the sole remaining show from the WB/UPN era.

Though no confirmed plans have been made, the network is reportedly considering a retrospective Top Model special in 2016. Given it’s mark on pop culture, I believe The CW should air one. Read Banks’ statement below.

Plenty of America’s Next Top Model purists don’t love the fact men are now included in the modeling competition. Personally, I love it. Especially this particular cycle. Tyra Banks has outdone herself with the quality of men. While my personal favorite is golden-haired Mikey Heverly, hearing impaired Nyle DiMarco is a close second. He’s sex on a stick.

Like many, I assumed he was straight. Imagine my surprise and delight, when the 26-year-old stunner came out (sorta). A German fan recently tweeted DiMarco if he was into “boys or girls?” DiMarco replied “fluid” and linked to an article entitled, “How Fluid Sexuality Fits into the LGBTQIA+ Spectrum.” Not that us mere mortals have a shot in hell snagging Nyle, but at least now it’s not impossible 😉

For those who don’t know what the sexy beast that is Nyle, check out plenty of pics below. If you’re not watching Cycle 22, make sure you do. The drama, quality of the photoshoots and contestants are on point this cycle. ANTM airs on Friday on The CW.

Who’s The Hottest Male Model On ANTM Cycle 22?

In: Donovan, TV Shows

The decision to air America’s Next Top Model only once a year was a wise one. I actually look forward to hearing all of Tyra Banks’ new terms and watching her crazy antics. I never thought I’d think that, let alone admit it publicly.

With Cycle 22 just around the corner, The CW has officially introduced us to the men and women vying for the title. Will another male model take the title again, after Keith Carlos became the first guy to win last year?

My favorite guys based on first impression are Nyle, Dustin and Mikey, while Delanie, Hadassah and Lacey are the ladies I’m rooting for. Check out the 14 contestants below and weigh in on which ones are your favorites.

Just because we don’t recap America’s Next Top Model anymore (Rich has been extremely busy), doesn’t mean we’re not watching it. Rich and myself still love making fun of Tyra and the contestants’ antics each week. With Cycle 20 adding guys in the mix for the first time, I thought I’d ask our readers who they thought the hottest one is out of the bunch. To reiterate, the hottest and not the most modelesque. Those two don’t always go hand in hand in the fashion industry.

For myself, I can’t decide between Phil Sullivan or Mike Scocozza. Both are extremely sexy. I love Sullivan’s scruff and Scocozza’s goofy dimwitted look. What can I say, I like a dumb-looking guy 😉 Then there’s also Don Benjamin’s gorgeous eyes and Jeremy Rohmer’s hot body. Decisions, decisions. Check out pictures of all the guys below, minus Chris Schellenger since he was already eliminated. I tried to add pics from both the show and other miscellaneous shots. Be sure to cast your vote after inspecting the goods 😉
