Last team Joe & Heidi from Team Wang got sent home essentially from a Blind U-Turn from Team Detectives. This saved Team Big Brother big time, as they were totally going to be last otherwise. Lucky for them.
Seven Teams Remain:

• Team Detectives: Currently leading, no drama, but their cockiness may get in the way
• Team Dad & Daughter: Still very strong, no drama
• Team Cowboys: A few close calls and not the smartest, but no drama and work well together
• Team Cute Bros: Jordan’s a bit of a diva sometimes, but otherwise they’re pretty fearless
• Team Lesbos: Sometimes Brandy can be a bit dramatic, but otherwise they’re tough cookies
• Team Models: Ticking timebomb thanks to Caite being a prissy bitch that does nothing to help
• Team Big Brother: Too many mistakes, Jordan is kind of a dead weight, super cute couple though

So they’re in Northeastern , France, and in first place, leaving at 7:47am is Team Detectives. They must drive to Reims find this famous cathedral, look for the Joan of Arc Statue where a street musician is playing music and, and get the next clue from her.

The first team to get there is Team Dad & Daughter. They get a cork as a clue and figure that they have to go to Epernay. Team Cowboys are next, followed extremely closely by Team Detectives in third. Cute Bros are next they, along with Team Detectives, go to the tourism office to get directions. Smart. Team Lesbos are now in forth. Jeff & Jordan are the last to leave, almost 3 hours after The Detectives, at 10:28am. Jordan says, “Joan of Arc…she carried all the animals,” to which Jeff responds, “That was Noah!” That was hilarious.

As this episode starts, all the teams are taking a bus from Hamburg, Germany to a destination unknown. Also, Jeff & Jordan have a speed bump – sad face. Le autobus ends up taking the teams to Les Monthairons, France. They have to find Saint Menehould and go to a boulangerie and buy a baguette to receive their next clue.

The first team to arrive is Team Detectives (which BTW, one of them is apparently involved in a drug selling scandal??? Shady). Anyway, their clue is in a baguette and they now have to drive to a place called La Main De Messages. The Second Team is Team Dad & Daughter, with Team Wang in third.

One of the great quotes of the night comes from Caite from Team Models, when she says that when she gets the baguette, “I’m gonna shove it in my throat.” Dirty, dirty girl.

In this episode of the Amazing Race, there are 8 teams left and they are in Hamburg, Germany. The Cowboys are in first place, and for the first part of this challenge, Teams are paired up, one person from each team working together. They start off by taking the subway to a location where they’ll be Bungee jumping! Fun! (I’ve done it once before in Whistler, B.C.). Team Dad & Daughter are working with Team Wang, Team Lesbos with Team Cute Bros, Team Models with Team Big Brother, and Team Cowboys with Team Detectives.

Team Big Brother are in 7th Place, working with The Models who are in last. Caite & Jordan are put together (oh great…they have to navigate themselves in the subway…good luck). Of course, they go the wrong way, but quickly realize and head back in the wrong direction.

I’m taking a little break from the Olympics and watching another competition, but instead of gold, the winner gets one million dollars. Last week the Team High School Sweethearts were eliminated and Team Big Brother were the first team to arrive to the Pitstop. The teams are in Santiago, Chile and since they were first, Jeff & Jordan leave first at 3:21 am by bus, traveling 575 miles to Valparaiso,Chili. They arrive at the bus station by taxi, to find the station opens at 5:00am.

At the bus station, it’s a bad dash for tickets. Team Lesbos and Team Wang create an alliance and others aren’t pleased when Team Wang saves a spot in line for Team Lesbos, and they get the last four got tickets on the first bus to their destination. Meanwhile, The Cowboys get clever and found a faster route to leave from Temuco, and Team Big Brother along with The Models all do the same. The Cowboys are on a bus a half hour later than the others, but they find out that the two other teams actually have to take a cab to go to another terminal to catch their connecting bus.

Well for my Valentine’s Day, I watched some Olympics, then the season premiere of The Amazing Race with my dogs – very romantic. Here are the lucky teams competing in this season, which is supposedly going to be one of the toughest yet:

As Phil starts the game with the teams in Los Angeles, he lets the teams know that their first clue will be found in an envelope on their bags, which they have to run to. When they get their clue, they have to figure out how to get to the airport using public transportation. There will be two flights available, but only the first 3 teams will get tickets on first flight. One hour later, the remaining teams will board the second flight. As always, the first team to cross finish line after 12 lags, wins $1 million.
