There have been a lot of celebrity breakups lately. The one that surprised me the most was news that Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney parted ways. Not that I’m a relationship expert by any means, but I thought they were in it for the long haul. At least by Hollywood standards.

The 30-year-old singer took to Instagram to address the split. Turns out, they might not be completely dunzo. According to her team and Gaga herself, they’re taking a break. Since I love, love, I’m rooting for these two get back together. Read her touching statement below.

After this hilarious outing as Melania Trump, I fully expect to see plenty of Laura Benanti leading up to the election. Girlfriend absolutely slayed it, much like Tina Fey did when she brilliantly parodied Sarah Palin.

Wearing a similar white outfit to Melania, Laura appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to address claims she plagiarized Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech. While explaining she did no such thing, Benanti amusingly recited famous lines from random sources including A Tale Of Two Cities, Braveheart, The Beastie Boys, Dr. Seuss and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She even managed to fit in a candy bar slogan in there.

Vin Diesel Returns As Xander Cage For Third xXx Film

In: Donovan, Movies

12 years after xXx: State of the Union, Vin Diesel returns to play thrill-seeking extreme sports enthusiast Xander Cage. Never watched the first two, but this one looks mildly interesting and I might give it a whirl.

Directed by D. J. Caruso (I Am Number Four, Disturbia), the latest film finds Cage, who was thought to be long dead, coming out of a self-imposed exile. Joining Diesel for the third volume of the series, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, are Samuel L. Jackson, Ruby Rose, Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone and Toni Collette.

Movie Synopsis

The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series’ signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude, “xXx: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE” will raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film.

xXx: Return of Xander Cage crashes into theaters on January 20, 2017. Check out the trailer below.

LOLAWOLF is R&B/electro-pop trio formed by Zoe Kravitz, along with keyboardist James Levy and drummer/producer Jimmy Giannopoulos. For their latest single, Kravitz enlisted her buddy Miley Cyrus to assist with vocals on “Teardrop.” The collaboration isn’t too much of a surprise, given LOLAWOLF opened for Miley’s Bangerz Tour in late 2014.

“Teardrop” is a wonderfully sublime trip. It’s a bit spacey and out there, but nonetheless a solid offering. It’s not my usual fare, but I like it. Give it a listen below.

On a side note, if the cover art looks familiar, you’re not trippin’ out. It’s of Jeremy Meeks aka that “Hot Mugshot Guy.” I’m beyond curious to know the story behind why his image was used.

Hollywood lost a legend Tuesday, July 19. Prolific film director Garry Marshall died at the age of 81. The legendary filmmaker passed away due to complications from pneumonia. He was in and out of the hospital recently after suffering a stroke.

Over his storied career, Marshall directed huge hits including Beaches, The Flamingo Kid, Runaway Bride, The Princess Diaries and Pretty Woman which turned Julia Roberts into a household name. In recent years, he’s delivered holiday ensemble films including Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve.

With regards to the small screen, he’s the man who created such iconic comedies as Happy Days, Mork & Mindy and Laverne & Shirley. The latter starred his sister, Penny Marshall.

In addition to being a force behind the camera, he’s also had memorable roles in films like Never Been Kissed and A League of Their Own, and Murphy Brown on the small screen.

Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

Netflix is quickly becoming the go-to place to host epic reunions. Gilmore Girls anyone??? Their latest coup to reunite stars from the past involves the Degrassi franchise.

The beloved Canadian teen drama has spawned various incarnations over the years, but the streaming service has reunited the cast of the Next Generation era (my personal favorite) for a special one-off episode.

The episode, which is a celebration of the series hitting its 500th episode, will air July 22nd. Those confirmed to reprise their roles include Craig (Jake Epstein), Paige (Lauren Collins), Emma (Miriam McDonald), Spinner (Shane Kippel), Marco (Adam Ruggiero), and Liberty (Sarah Barrable-Tishauer).

Noticeably absent is Wheels played by Aubrey Graham aka Drake. I highly doubt Shenae Grimes of 90210 fame will also make a cameo. Nonetheless, it should be a fun trip down memory lane. Check out the video announcement below.

Dang, Tinashe is firing on all cylinders these days. She’s launching a full-scale onslaught on us. On the heels of releasing her awesome new single, “Superlove,” and appearing on KDA’s “Just Say,” comes another recording featuring the talented and underrated 23-year-old singer.

Enrique Iglesias taps Tinashe to appear on the English version of his massive hit, “Duele El Corazon.” The Spanish track has already conquered Spain, the US Latin chart and surprisingly Switzerland.

Guess his team is trying to turn the spicy track into a crossover smash. It definitely has potential. I love the track and love it even more with Tinashe involved. Give the new version a listen below.

NBC is clearly smitten with their Shades of Blue superstar. The peacock network has asked for another dance with Jennifer Lopez. Literally.

The 46-year-old entertainer has teamed up with the World of Dance organization for a new dancing competition show with a grand prize of $1 million dollars. World of Dance is open to all ages, professional or amateur, pretty much anyone. The competitors will be divided into three groups: under 16 years old, over 16 years old and teams.

“This will be a fierce talent-heavy dance competition that embraces the raw emotion and excitement that dance represents,” Lopez said in a statement. “I am excited to work with World of Dance, an organization that has had an immeasurable impact on the dance community, to give all dancers an enormous platform where their dreams can be realized.”

With So You Think You Can Dance no longer being the powerhouse it once was, it’s time for a new dance show to sweep the nation off its feet. This is the second dance-themed series NBC has ordered in recent months. They previously picked up a six-episode unscripted dancing competition from Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum.
