white-party-25th-anniversary-line-up

Well, the moment’s arrived: White Party Palm Springs’ Talent is revealed! And, I can’t WAIT to get down there!

The biggest name of all for me is definitely G.R.L.. A newer name to the scene I’m currently OBSESSED with their song Ugly Heart and they’re blowing up the charts right now with their featured performance on Pitbull‘s Wild Wild Love single. While I would never touch the man sexually, he himself seems to have the Midas touch these days and everything and everyone he attaches to turns to gold and these ladies are no exception. The all-girl band was formed by Homorazzi’s ever-loved Pussycat Dolls’ Robin Antin and includes a collection of 5 talented girls from America, Britain and even our home up here in Canada. Covering all their bases they’re looking to rock out the Sunday T-Dance which was dominated last year by Icona Pop and I’m sure G.R.L. will be able to fill the big stilettos left by those babes (WHOM I got a kiss from, just sayin’!).

Snow White and Prince Charming finally have their happily ever after. At least the actors who play them have.

Ginnifer Goodwin (35) and Josh Dallas (32) who play the iconic fairy tale characters tied the knot this weekend in an intimate ceremony in California. The two met on the set of Once Upon A Time and are expecting their first child.

Ginnifer is one lucky gal. I’ve been crushin’ on Josh for years. Congrats to the happy couple.

Is This The Worst Wheel Of Fortune Contestant Ever?

Earlier this year we met Emil who stunned Pat Sajak by solving the final puzzle with practically no letters showing. Now, we meet the complete opposite. Indiana University’s Julian could arguably be one of the worst contestants ever to compete on the Wheel of Fortune. Not only did he choke once, not twice, but three times.

His biggest gaffe by far was being unable to pronounce the first puzzle even though all the letters were shown. Making matters worse was the fact one million dollars was on the line. Julian followed up that choke by letting a car slip through his fingers by messing up the next puzzle. Any takers that Indiana University is probably cringing that this was their representative during college week? Check out all of Julian’s greatest misses below.

pharrell-williams-coachella

Out of all the videos I’ve seen of this year’s Coachella performances, Pharrell’s set is the one that has me jealous I wasn’t there to witness it live. The 41-year-old put on a fantastic hour-long show featuring some big cameos.

Long before his massive 2013 year, Williams was one half of the Neptunes who were responsible for churning out huge hits in the mid-90s. Some of those who scored hits due to Pharrell’s genius returned the favor and made surprise cameos during his set.

Nelly set the crowd in a tizzy with “Hot In Herre” as did Snoop Dogg for “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Busta Rhymes and Puff Daddy also dropped by to revisit “Pass the Courvoisier Pt. 2.” The biggest surprise, and my favorite, Gwen Stefani belted out “Hollaback Girl.” In Pharrell’s words, Stefani is the most “awesome, rad girl in the world.” She’s simply the queen. Check out the entire set below.

The 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles Saturday night. Among those honored include Orange Is The New Black actress Laverne Cox, HBO mini-series Behind The Candelabra, moving documentary Bridegroom and Jennifer Lopez.

The American Idol judge was honored with this year’s Vanguard Award, presented to her by Rita Moreno. She received it for her efforts to increase visibility and understanding of the LGBT community through entertainment.

The Fosters, which she executive produces for ABC Family, won Best Drama Series. The show follows the lives of the titular Foster family, consisting of an interracial lesbian couple raising a blended family of biological, adopted and foster children. During her acceptance speech, she talked about her cool aunt who happened to be gay. Watch her speech below.

As White Party Palm Springs 25th Anniversary quickly approaches (April 25-28), you can bet your ass (and mine!) that this Type A gay is mapping out anywhere and everywhere I want to get it wet while down in the sun… and I’m NOT talking about swimming.

After getting special approval by the boss at Homorazzi and the go ahead by the awesomely shameless men at WPPS, I’ve put together a careful article to describe the ins and outs of sticking it in and out while at this years event. I’m only a second year returnee to the party but you KNOW I’m already an addict and can’t wait to get my fix. Last year, my best friend, partner in crime and co-owner of Homorazzi, Patrick and I took the sunny desert town by storm and we did not fail to come out with a smile on our faces and a check up planned at the clinic. To be fair, Patrick was there to meet celebrities, I was the only nicknamed “Dirty Dozen” by the flight home. It was a weekend for the books, but this time around I knew some planning was involved to ensure a record breaking trip and thought I’d share with the readers my two cents on the ultimate places to bang at WPPS.

chef-movie-trailer

Food trucks are all the rage these days. Naturally Jon Favreau, the man who gave us Swingers, taps into this trend for his latest directorial effort, Chef. The film premiered at SWSW last month.

In addition to Favreau, it boasts a star-studded cast which includes Dustin Hoffman, Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo and Robert Downey, Jr. Chef hits theaters on May 9. Check out the trailer below. Warning, the food might make you hungry. It did for me.

Synopsis

Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman), he is left to figure out what’s next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara), his friend (John Leguizamo) and his son to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen — and zest for life and love.

Rising Artist Spotlight: The Vamps

In: Donovan, Music
the-vamps

At first glance they look like another One Direction ripoff. To be fair, it’s kinda true. After all, they are a boy band from the United Kingdom. However, if I were to compare them to another boy band, I would say they’re a mix of Hanson and McFly.

“Being compared to One Direction is no bad thing but we are a completely different band.” – Brad Simpson

Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans, better known as The Vamps, have scored a couple of hits in their native country. With their latest, “Move My Way,” they’re primed to crossover to North America. It’s by far my favorite among the singles they’ve released. It’s thoroughly pop but with a folk sensibility, like most things these days. Give it a spin below, along with their previous music videos.
