She may not win your case, but God dang she’s going to make you laugh in the process.

Amy Schumer plays Bill Cosby’s defense attorney in a sketch for her Comedy Central show. Watch her present irrefutable evidence like JELL-O pudding pops, Cosby sweaters and other random items to prove her client’s innocence of allegedly drugging women and raping them.

In other Schumer-related news, the 33-year-old comedian impressed audiences during an appearance on this week’s episode of The Bachelorette. So much so, fans are begging produces to pick Amy as the next women to hand out roses.

Even ABC’s head of alternative programming, Robert Mills, got in on the action. He tweeted, “OK here is the official offer to @amyschumer to become #TheBachelorette. Just say yes and we start tomorrow. #DraftAmy.”

Please television gods make this happen. Schumer would slay it and put some of those douchebags in their place. Until that happens, check out the Inside Amy Schumer clip below.

In the words of Sean Connery himself from the original film, “I’m waiting to be impressed.” Though it recouped its budget and then some, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen left both critics and audiences unimpressed. Not surprisingly, a sequel was never produced.

There are reports now, though, that 20th Century Fox is rebooting the franchise based on Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s graphic novel of the same title.

For those unfamiliar with the premise, it’s sort of The Avengers but with literary icons from the Victorian era teaming up. Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dorian Gray, Mina Harker, Allan Ian Quatermain and more join forces to fight a common enemy. Connery, Peta Wilson, Shane West and Stuart Townsend starred in the 2003 film. Speaking of 007, the film was his final live-action film before retiring.

This isn’t the first time someone has attempted to resurrect The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen franchise. Back in 2013, FOX made a pilot commitment to create a TV series, but the network eventually passed.

At face value, it sounds a bit shady, but is it really? You decide.

As previously reported, Little Mix originally recorded a demo for “Pretty Girls.” The British girl group passed on it and gave it away. Eventually, it found its way to Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea. The girls explain how Spears got her paws on it.

“We’ve been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought, ‘Nope, it’s not good enough’,” group member Jesy Nelson (second from right) tells The Sun. “We recorded a whole album but we’re perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again.”

Do I need to ramble on as to why you should watch this clip? Com’n, just check out the picture above. Alan Ritchson never really turned my crank previously, but get him wet and executing some choreography, and you’ve got me swooning.

NBC’s new reality show, I Can Do That, is perfect Summer viewing. It’s mindless, charming and actually quite watchable. Cheryl Burke, Joe Jonas, Ciara, comedian Jeff Dye, Nicole Scherzinger and Ritchson pair up for weekly challenges where they learn magic, how to be a Globetrotter, dance routines and other stunts. The studio audience then votes for the winner.

On the premiere episode, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle teamed up with the Pussycat Doll to perform a gravity-defying AiRealistic routine. As eye-catching and beautiful as the routine was, a shirtless Ritchson hearing feedback from his co-stars was everything. Dude is ripped. The only thing that would’ve made this better is if Joe Jonas stepped in to perform with Ritchson. Maybe next time. Check out the sexy clip below.

Netflix Gives Grace & Frankie A Second Season

In: Donovan, TV Shows

Freshman comedy Grace and Frankie received a second season order from Netflix. The news was revealed Tuesday night on an FYC panel at the Pacific Design Center attended by series co-creators and executive producers Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris, along with its stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Martin Sheen.

“Let me say, it’s so awesome to do a show on Netflix,” said Marta Kauffman, series co-creator and exec producer, “because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a tweet about your show, and they call and say, ‘We’d like to do a season two.’ So yes, there is a season two. We have Ted (Sarandos, Netflix) and Miley to thank.”

She’s written several smash hits including “Hold It Against Me” (Britney Spears), “Dynamite” (Taio Cruz) and several for Katy Perry such as “California Gurls,” “Wide Awake” and my favorite, “Teenage Dream.” Somehow though, Bonnie McKee hasn’t been able to pen one for herself. Her best offering to date, “American Girl,” stalled at No. 87 in 2013. Maybe, her luck will change with her upcoming EP.

Bombastic” is one of four tracks included on her EP. The 31-year-old artist co-wrote it with Sean Walsh, Andreas Axident and rising singer Charlie Puth. It’s not the usual bubbly pop fare she releases. Instead, it’s a bit edgier with almost a metal influence.

For the accompanying visual, she heads to the 80s for inspiration. Channeling Olivia Newton-John circa “Physical” era, McKee goes aerobic but with a raunchier twist. Check out the David Richardson-directed music video below.

Point Break Remake Looks Like A Thrilling Ride

In: Donovan, Movies

I’d hardly refer to Point Break as a classic, but its beloved by many, including myself. When it was announced a remake of the Kathryn Bigelow film was in production, naturally, I was a bit trepidatious. Could anyone match Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze’s awesomeness in the action crime film?

It may be presumptuous on my part, but based on the trailer, I would say they might actually improve upon it. It’s like Fast and the Furious meets the Bourne films on acid. The remake makes the original film look like child’s play with all its death-defying action.

Movie Synopsis

“A young FBI agent infiltrates an extraordinary team of extreme sports athletes he suspects of masterminding a string of unprecedented, sophisticated corporate heists.”

Stepping into Reeves’ place to play Johnny Utah is Luke Bracey. Originally, Gerard Butler was set to play Swayze’s part, ringleader Bodhi, but he was replaced by Edgar Ramirez. Whatever chain of events led to the casting change, I approve. Ramirez sizzles on the screen.

Delroy Lindo and Teresa Palmer round out the cast. Point Break jumps into theaters on Christmas Day in limited theaters, before getting a wide release. Check out action-packed first trailer below.

Now, this is more like it. After releasing “Bang That” which drew influence from London’s raw garage movement, Disclosure debuts another new track that is much more radio friendly. The former was dubbed a buzz single, while this officially becomes the lead cut off their forthcoming album.

Holding On” finds the English duo returning to 90s house which was prevalent throughout their Settle album. Why mess with their signature sound? Grammy-winning jazz singer Gregory Porter provides soulful vocals to the slickly-produced track. It’s no “Latch,” but should do well at the clubs and on the charts. Give their slinky single a listen below.
