Just what the world needs. Another Godzilla film. Perhaps I’m bitter because I wasted two hours of my life watching Roland Emmerich’s 1998 hot mess. Godzilla was supposed to kick off a trilogy for the studio, but due to negative response and lack of enthusiasm, plans for a sequel were shelved. Fast forward to 2014 when another American studio attempts to reboot Japan’s iconic monster for North American audiences.
While I wasn’t a fan of Emmerich’s version, I have to say, director Gareth Edwards‘ first teaser trailer has me intrigued. Not much in terms of plot is revealed, but the action shots and dramatic glimpses had me in suspense. To boot, the film boasts an impressive cast which includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar winner Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, Oscar® nominee David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. Check out the first teaser below. Godzilla 2014 opens next year in May.
First the good news. Britney Spears has the best-selling new album on this week’s Billboard Top 200. The bad news is that Britney Jean debuts at No. 4. Even worse, the 107,000 units sold represents the worst opening bow of the superstar’s career. Even her debut album, …Baby One More Time, sold more in 1999 with 121,000 units. Her previous two studio albums, Circus and Femme Fatale, sold 505,000 and 276,000 copies respectively.
With a Planet Hollywood Vegas residency beginning, the 32-year-old singer won’t have time to tour and promote her new album. The million dollar question is, should she cut her losses or go into overdrive to salvage this era? This bitch just needs to work harder, especially if she wants that Maserati or Lamborghini.
The most glamorous fashion show of the year aired last night on CBS. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is one of my favorite events of the year. There’s something about watching barely-clothed glamazon women strutting their stuff on the glittered runway that I find truly fascinating. I’m not alone.
Typically I have people over, but due to a prior commitment, I couldn’t host a gathering. The yearly telecast consistently does well in the ratings with the 2011 edition reaching heavenly heights. No wonder the reported budget for this year’s show ballooned to $12 million. Definitely a hefty hike from the first show back in 1995 which cost $120,000 to produce. Was the money worth it?
Back in October Dono did a post about the Geography Club movie trailer and it peaked my interest. Not only was it starring two very handsome men, Cameron Deane Stewart (Pitch Perfect) and Justin Deeley (90210), but it also genuinely looked really good. I’m a bit of a gay movie junkie and love attending the VQFF every year so I’ve seen my fair share of tacky gay cinema. I’m happy to say that Geography Club was not your average cheesy bad gay movie.
Synopsis: At Goodkind High School, a group of students of varying sexual orientation form an after-school club as a discreet way to share their feelings and experiences.
I always thought to myself, what is missing on my Christmas song playlist?
A filthy rap by three drag queens! WELL LOOKIE HERE! DWV are back with their 5th song and 1st original just in time for the holidays. Now the song came out I’m gonna about 7-10 days ago on itunes but the girls were on the drag race cruise so we didn’t get much info about it. And today they released the video for “That Christmas Song.”
Drag queen in reindeer outfits, stripped, twerking…sounds good to me!
My personal favorite line I wanna drink you babies and nibble your ass/like I’m at midnight mass/and you is the communion.
That’s fine. MARY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
Both Sean Hayes and Debra Messing appeared on Smash, but never shared a scene together. It doesn’t matter anyway because THIS is the Will & Grace duo we’ve been waiting to reunite. Break out the gin, vodka, tequila or whatever is in your cabinet. Karen Walker was never discerning about what liquor she drank. The dynamic duo are back together.
TVLine.com reports that Megan Mullally is heading to NBC’s Sean Saves The World. She’ll appear on the show’s 17th episode and play Sean Hayes’ onscreen sister. As BFFs they were hilarious. As siblings, I can only imagine what mayhem these two get into. This marks Hayes and Mullally’s first onscreen reunion since Will & Grace ended its run back in 2006. I can’t wait.
To refresh your memory why Jack & Karen were so fantastic, check out the video below.
You had to have known this post was coming. The second I saw Britney Spears’ “Perfume” clip, I knew Alexander Kjellevik was my next Model Behavior post. The Norwegian’s abs were the star of that clip. Even Spears’ most die-hard fans have to agree with that.
The 28-year-old debuted as a model during the Spring/Summer 2010 season, marching for Gianni Versace. The green-eyed stunner followed that up by working with major brands including Etro, Armani, Ermanno Scervino, John Varvatos and Iceberg. His editorial work include appearances in Maxim Italy and Kurv Magazine. Currently, he’s represented by Request Model Management NY (New York), NEVS (London) and Traffic Models (Barcelona).
He reminds me of Swedish supermodel Marcus Schenkenberg during his 90s hey day. There must be something in the water in that part of the world. For all you porn aficionados, he bears a striking resemblance to Randy Blue’s Malachi Marx. Don’t you think? Check out more of the Scandinavian stud below and weigh in afterward.
Before we get into the meat of the video, can we discuss the slab of juicy prime beef Britney Spears cozies up to? Yowzers. I think I might have to revisit my 2011 post on Brit’s Top 10 Hottest Music Boy Toys. Model Alexander Kjellevik is pretty dang fine. The scruff, the hair, the abs, it all works. It must’ve been hard work laying that blond head of hers on his ripped stomach. I digress.
Directed by frequent collaborator Joseph Khan, “Perfume” can easily pass as a fragrance ad for one of Spears’ many scents. Girlfriend spritzes herself in hopes that Kjellevik’s girlfriend, Cindy, smells it. I suppose she didn’t mark her territory enough because in the end, poor Brit is left alone. I haven’t seen her act this much since her acting tour de force in the 2002 opus, Crossroads ;) Overall it’s a great clip (albeit simple) for the underrated ballad. Check it out below.
