Green Day Gets Festive With Surprise Holiday Track

In: Donovan, Music

Green Day isn’t exactly the first musical act that comes to mind when one mentions holiday tunes. Perhaps after listening to this, the rock band will.

Rather than covering a classic Christmas song, Green Day spreads holiday cheer with an original track titled “Xmas Time Of The Year.” The lyrics maybe somewhat on the traditional side, but the beat is full-on punk. Glad to see that the Billie Joe Armstrong-fronted band stayed true to their signature sound.

Hopefully this is a sign that new music is on the way from Green Day. Their last offering was the ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! trilogy released back in 2012. Give their holiday track a listen below.

The 12 Beards Of Christmas

In: Donovan, Random Reads, Totally GAY!

You’ll never think of the classic Christmas carol, “The Twelve Days of Christmas” in the same way again. I know I certainly won’t.

Jason Ross and his luscious ginger beard are transformed to reflect each day by adorning it with festive accoutrements. My personal favorites are Twelve Drummers Drumming, Six Geese A Laying and Four Calling Birds. Check out “The 12 Beards of Christmas” below.

Carly Rae Jepsen Records Fuller House Theme Song

In: Donovan, Music, TV Shows

February 26 can’t come soon enough. Not just to watch the Full House revival but to hear its new theme song.

Carly Rae Jepsen revealed she lent her voice to the project. “Butch Walker and I re-did the theme song for @FullerHouse together and I can’t wait for you to hear it! Check it out on Netflix Feb. 26th!!,” she tweeted.

For its entire eight-season run, the ABC sitcom used “Everywhere You Look” originally sung by Jesse Frederick. It’ll be interesting to hear how true Jepsen stays to the original sound and verses. After all these years, hopefully someone’s figured out “what happened to predictability, the milkman, the paperboy, and evening TV.” 😉

To refresh your memory, check out Frederick’s original full version below. Fuller House premieres on Netflix on February 26, 2016.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a certified critical and commercial success. Everywhere you go, you’re reminded the space saga is back and stronger than ever. It’s no wonder why the Associated Press bestowed the film with its Entertainer of the Year award. Voters were asked to consider who had the most influence on entertainment and culture in 2015.

“In a year full of sequels, reboots and returns, none have recaptured the zeitgeist like ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,'” wrote Nick Dutro of The Advertiser-Tribune in Tiffin, Ohio.

The intergalactic flick beat out big names for the title including Taylor Swift, Amy Schumer and Adele. Those three ladies had huge years, but were no match for the 40-year-old franchise. Others in the running for the honor were Jon Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Taraji P. Henson, Viola Davis and the Kardashians.

Do you think the AP chose correctly? If not, who do you think deserves the honor the most? Sound off below.

I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll say it again. Garcon Model is one of my favorite brands of underwear to wear. They fit fantastically, look great and wash very well.

The company recently presented its new sportswear collection, the Elite Sport. The fashionable line balances function and flare with a new waistband, a sharp sporty look, and contrasting colours.

“We edited down to the essentials, then added a hint of athletic accents and modern colors that work in and out of the gym.” – Garçon Model

The Elite Sport is made of eco-friendly bamboo fabric that is ultra-soft, lightweight and extremely breathable. Bamboo is also the ideal fabric for underwear because it naturally deodorizes, and is extremely durable. So whether you’re heading to the gym or just out and about, this will become your staple underwear.

Fifty Shades Of Black Releases Red Band Movie Trailer

In: Donovan, Movies

When it comes to the Wayans brothers, it’s either hit or miss when it comes with their flicks. Some I’ve liked (White Chicks), while others I barely finished. The latest blockbuster to get the Wayans touch is Fifty Shades of Grey. Marlon Wayans steps out on his own from his siblings to produce, write and star in the parody. The tagline promises it’s “way shadier than gray.”

Like the original erotic film, Fifty Shades of Black features a billionaire seducing a college co-ed. Wayans plays Christian Black while Kali Hawk plays the object of his lust. As you would expect, the film is filled with sexual hijinks and innuendos which borderline in bad taste and cheesy. I’m sure it’ll provide a few chuckles though.

Fred Willard, Mike Epps and Jane Seymour round out the cast. How in the hell did Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman get involved in this??? Fifty Shades of Black whips into theaters on January 29, 2016. Check out the trailer below which includes poking fun at Kim Kardashian’s infamous “Break The Internet” Paper magazine cover.

If you’re tired of listening to Christmas tunes, and who isn’t at this point of the holiday season, this incredible news might interest you.

Their catalog of iconic hits will be available on nine services including Apple Music, Amazon Prime, Tidal, Google Play, Rhapsody and others. The announcement was made via their official website. Check out the promo below.

We have a new winner, or should I say loser.

Johnny Depp, who came in second to Adam Sandler last year, is numero uno on Forbes annual Most Overpaid Actors list. Reportedly, the once-powerful box office star’s recent flicks have returned only $1.20 for every $1 he was paid. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Denzel Washington, Channing Tatum, Christian Bale also made the embarrassing list.

The publication factors the last three films each actor starred in before June 2015. The films must’ve been released in at least 2,000 screens and not been a cameo or animated film. With two high-profile gigs next year, Alice Through The Looking Glass and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tall No Tales, Depp should find redemption.

On the flip side, Forbes reveals Chris Evans is the actor that provides the most bang for the buck. He generates a whopping $181.80 for every dollar paid. While no women landed on the dishonorable list, they occupy five of the ten slots on the Top 10 Best Actors For The Buck. Girl power folks!!! Check out both lists below and weigh in afterward.
