For this week’s Who’d You Rather, we decided to highlight two NFL quarterbacks that both play for the New York Jets, are both routinely featured in entertainment magazines, and are both 25-years-old. The hotties are Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez.
Tim Tebow is the backup to starter Mark Sanchez and aside from his football and his signature “Tebowing” stance (“the act of kneeling on one knee in prayer with one’s head resting on one’s fist), many have focussed in on the fact that he’s still a virgin. He’s a devout Christian that does a lot for various not-for-profit organizations. Tebow is currently single and looking.
Mark Sanchez on the other hand is not single. He’s actually dating 37-year-old Eva Longaria! You know you’re hot when you’re dating that bombshell! Aside from also being quite philanthropic as well, An interesting fact about Sanchez is that he’s a huge musical theatre fan. “I’ve become a huge fan of musicals since I’ve come to New York, and I’ve taken some heat from guys on the team, believe me.”
Check out some of their photos below and as difficult as it may be, vote on who you’d rather between the two of them.
For this week’s Sports Stud, I decided to highlight NFL hottie, Rob Gronkowski who is currently on the cover of Muscle & Fitness magazine for the October 2012 Issue. The 23-year-old is a tight end (hehe) for the New England Patriots and is a towering 6’6″ and 265 lbs. In June of this year, “Gronk” signed a six-year, $54 million contract extension which included an $8 million signing bonus, but leaves the 2012 and 2013 seasons of his rookie contract intact. Not too shabby!
He has so many hot pictures which I’ve included below, but one of my favorite things I’m sharing with you is in the form of a video. When ask who he’d “Marry, Bury, or F*ck” between Tim Tebow, Betty White and Rex Ryan, he chose to eff Tebow so he could take his virginity! Hot! Check out the pictures and his funny comment below.
Some of you have probably heard Jamie Kuntz’s story already, but for those who haven’t here’s a quick rundown. Kuntz used to play football for North Dakota State College of Science. When he was caught kissing his boyfriend in a press box during an away football game, he was kicked off the team. The school claims their decision wasn’t motivated by his sexual orientation, but Jamie feels otherwise. Here’s the official letter Kuntz’s head coach sent to him.
“Your actions on the evening of 9/1/2012, while representing NDSCS and the NDSCS football program, reflected poorly on the program. Your decisions and conduct on the night in question clearly fall into the “Conduct deemed detrimental to the team” category. Your actions/conduct during the game was a distraction to your teammates who were looking to the press box as the game was being played. This decision was arrived at solely on the basis of your conduct during the football game and because you chose not to be truthful with me when I confronted you about whom else was in the box with you. Any conduct by any member of the program that would cause such a distraction during a game would warrant the same consequences.” NDSCS’s head football coach, Chuck Parsons
Complicating matters even more is the fact Jamie’s boyfriend is 65-years-old. In this post-Sandusky world, eyebrows were definitely raised regarding their age difference. Kuntz is three times younger than his boyfriend. SB Nation’s Amy K. Nelson dives in to this story from all points of view, talking to Jamie, his teammates, and the school’s athletic director for the first time on camera. Especially moving are the reactions from Jamie’s family, especially his mother and sister who feared for his safety. Check out the informative piece below.
For those of you who subscribe to Attitude magazine via your iPad or tablet, you received a very special treat last week. The UK gay mag enabled their subscribers to download their latest issue early with a moving cover featuring the five shirtless Olympic hotties flexing and posing with their medals before fading from black and white into the color cover you see below. Man, do these guys know their audience.
The cover features five of Team GB’s hottest. Front and center is Greg Rutherford who took home gold for Great Britain in long jump. On his far right (our far left) is Steve Lewis. This pole vaulter didn’t medal but placed fifth after hitting a 5.75 m height. Beside him is Robbie Grabarz who received a bronze medal in high jump in London. To Greg’s immediate left (our right) is gold medalist Luke Campbell. Luke topped the podium in boxing in the bantamweight category. Rounding off the quintet is hottie Pete Reed MBE who scored a gold medal in the coxless four rowing.
The mag awarded these five the title of Fittest Men of Olympic Team GB and I have to say, I don’t disagree with their choices. The latest issue of Attitude is available for digital download on your iPad or tablet now and hits shelves tomorrow so make sure you pick up a copy. For a quick tease, check out the full cover below.
This week I decided to highlight ironman and five-time Coolangatta Gold champion Caine Eckstein from Australia. Surprisingly, I think this is the first ironman I’ve selected for a Sports Stud. This year, he competed in the Kellogg’s Nutri Grain Series (which he won), Australian Surf Life Saving Championships and also trained for some long distance ski paddling events. He is currently training for the Kona Ironman in Hawaii that takes place this coming October, followed by the Xterra World Championship race that happens two weeks after in Maui.
In addition to his regular competitions, the 26-year old was a finalist in this year’s Cleo Bachelor of the Year and a competitor in the most recent season of Australia’s Dancing With The Stars.
When you are an ironman, naturally your body is in tip-top shape – and his is. An ironman race is comprised of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bike and a marathon 26.2-mile (42.2 km) run, raced in that order and without a break. When you see his photos below, you’ll see just how incredible and chiseled his body is. Clearly it takes so much discipline and hard work to compete in the ironman, and clearly he’s got what it takes. Very inspiring!
This week’s Sports Stud is Francesco Totti, an Italian footballer / soccer player who is the captain of Serie A club Roma. This 35-year-old has spent his entire career at Roma, is the number-one goalscorer and the most capped player in the club’s history. Not only is considered as one of the finest players in his generation, he’s also considered Roma’s greatest player ever. Not too shabby!
He and his wife Ilary Blasi are often referred to as the Italian Beckhams. His wife used to be a showgirl but has since been the has been a co-host of Italia 1’s hit show Le Iene since 2007.
I’m actually surprised that I haven’t highlighted him as a Sports Stud before. He is one hot soccer player and when he’s on the beach, his package can barely be contained within his speedos. He is one “Hottie Totti” if you as me. Enjoy the pictures below!
Since New York Fashion Week begins this week, I was all set to pick a high fashion model to highlight. That plan instantly got derailed the second I saw this sexy beast. I immediately had to snatch up Will Grant for my Model Behavior feature before Patrick swiped him for his Sports Stud series. After all, Grant is not only a fitness model but an athlete as well.
Originally hailing from Seattle, Washington, Will Grant entered the BMX world at the age of 16. Since then, he’s become a two-time National Champion. Grant currently resides in Florida where he trains for his competitions and also works as a fitness model. With that sculpted body, it’s not shocking he’s often photographed wearing just underwear or swimsuits. Get to know every inch of Will’s sexy body in several shirtless pics below.
Last month, Tyrell introduced you to the five finalists vying to win the Men’s Health 2012 Cover Model contest. After tabulating all the votes, Charlie Powell beat out all the other sculpted studs to win the coveted October 2012 cover of the publication. The 32-year-old army captain garnered 4,270 votes, proving the magazine’s readers love a man in, and especially out of a uniform. Men’s Health Editor Toby Wiseman said the following about the October cover boy.
“Charlie epitomises the functional fitness we should all aspire to. Despite his overseas postings making regular training sometimes difficult, his dedication to his own health and fitness is an inspiration to the many time-poor men amongst us. If he can find the time and space to exercise, so can we.” Wiseman added “His training has left him fit and strong, as well as in excellent shape aesthetically. He personifies everything the Men’s Health man should be – a natural in front of the camera and a down-to-earth guy. The competition was very tough, but he is a more than worthy winner.”
While I do think Powell is an excellent choice, I was secretly hoping that Mitchell Tovee or Ben Mudge would take it. Those bitches are damn finnnnnnnne. Charlie Powell’s issue is available now. Pick it up to learn his and all the runner-ups’ training secrets. Check out a few pics of Powell from the issue below.
