In: Patrick, Sports & Health, Totally GAY!

It’s that time of year again when I compile all of the Sport Stud I featured throughout the year and pit them all against each other to compete for the title of Homorazzi’s 2012 Sport Stud. Last year’s winner was the sexy rugby hottie, Daniel Conn. As you probably already know, Donovan has also rolled out a year end competition for his weekly Model Behavior and Man Crush features as well.

As you may recall, the Sports Stud year-end competition will be divided into three rounds. Read below to see the voting dates for each round, and how the final round will be determined with the ultimate winner crowned. If need (or want) more pictures of each stud to better make your decision, click on their name to check out their original feature with plenty of pics to wet your appetite. Let the games begin!

Sports Stud Showdown Dates:
The Top 2 from each round automatically advance to the finals. Four wildcard spots will be given to the athletes who garnered the four highest vote totals from all rounds tabulated (winners excluded).

Sports Stud: Campbell Brown

In: Patrick, Sports & Health, Totally GAY!

This week, I took a suggestion from a reader and tackled a sexy footballer from Australia named Campbell Brown (excellent choice – thanks Aaron!) The 29-year-old currently plays for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League and plays defender. Previously, he played for the Hawthorn Football Club, which coincidentally is the same team that last week’s sports stud, Lance “Buddy” Franklin played for.

Brown is super built and outside of his regular training, he and his teammates kick it up a notch with some high intensity boxing training. He’s known for his aggressiveness and toughness on the field and as a result, he’s one guy competitors don’t want to be up against when it comes to one-on-one. I’m sure we all wouldn’t mind a one-on-one with him, right?

Check out the sexy pictures of this “golden” boy below.

With the rainy weather I’ve been experiencing the last several days, I decided to take a virtual trip to Australia for this week’s Sports Stud and highlight one of their fine athletic specimens: Lance “Buddy” Franklin (I’ll call him “Buddy” in this post). he’s 25 years old (almost 26) and plays for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League. Even though he’s super tall (6’5″), he’s known for his speed and agility on the field, mainly playing centre half-forward, and sometimes midfield.

With him becoming a free agent when his contract ends at the end of the season, there was some concern that he might accept an offer from a rival AFL team, but his manager recently confirmed that he’ll be staying with the Hawthorn. Buddy’s performance on the field over the past several years has definitely made him an attractive consideration for rival teams.

As you look through the photos below, you’ll notice that Buddy has lots of tattoos and those are dedicated to his Indigenous heritage. Personally, I love his sleeve tattoo as I have been thinking about getting a half sleeve tattoo extending onto one side of my chest myself. There are also a few sexy pictures he posted onto Instagram that I’m sure you’ll appreciate.

Yesterday, the Calgary Stampeders and the Toronto Argonauts faced off at the 100th CFL Grey Cup in Toronto, with the Argonauts taking taking the title in the end. Recently, I wrote about some of the Argonauts players speaking out about homophobia.

During the halftime show, Canadian pop superstars, Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen performed two songs each. Although they may be two of the most popular Canadian pop stars right now (with Justin Bieber’s Oprah interview with Oprah airing in over 100 countries last night), I wouldn’t have pictured them as the right acts for football fans. Given that, apparently Justin Bieber was booed during his performances of “Boyfriend” and “Beauty and a Beat”. Although he may not be the type of music the football fans normally listen to, in my opinion I think that’s pretty lame for Canadians to be unsupportive of their own talent – especially one who has done so well for himself and worked so hard to get to where he his.

Carly Rae Jepsen, who Bieber has gone out of his way to support, performed “Call Me Maybe” and “This Kiss” during the show. Other performances included “Stutter” by Marianas Trench as well as a song by folk/pop/country singer, Gordon Lightfoot. Watch all of the performances below as well as the moment where the Argonauts took home the win.

Grammy Award-nominated Hot Chip have just released a new music video for their single, “Don’t Deny Your Love” from their In Our Heads album that came out in June.

In the video, the band is in their tour bus playing a FIFA soccer video game. The players come out and then the two captains face off against each other for the coin toss with the announcer saying that there is “a lot of history there”. After a couple goals, the game is briefly interrupted as the players enter a “dimension of dance“. When they return to the game, chaos ensues and it looks like the two captains are going to fight, but then… they start making out. “Ohhh, that’s a beautiful kiss,” exclaims the announcer. “Well, we’ve been waiting years for this moment,” adds the announcer. “This is what football is all about.

From there, all of the players start making out and it’s one big magical soccer orgy. Even the announcers start making out! Watch the video below.

Sports Stud: Ryan Sheckler

In: Patrick, Sports & Health, Totally GAY!

For this week’s Sports Stud, I decided pick an athlete from a sport that I haven’t highlighted before and that is skateboarding. Given his good looks and social media popularity, with 2.4 million fans on Facebook, 22-year old (23 in December) Ryan Sheckler seemed like a great choice.

In addition to being a professional skateboarder, Sheckler had his own show on MTV called Life of Ryan that aired from 2007-2009, his own clothing line which he started in 2010, and this year he started line of short skateboard videss on YouTube, called Sheckler Sessions. He is also appearing in a series of online episodes for a series ‘Legacy. The History of Plan B Skateboarding.‘ Each episode explores a unique storyline from past and present team riders as well as other game changers from the skate industry. As of 2012, Sheckler is sponsored by Red Bull, Etnies, Plan B, Oakley, Nixon, Go Pro, Independent, bones, Grizzly, CCS, and Ethika. I’d say he’s doing pretty well for himself.

Sheckler has super sexy eyes, a great body, and lots of tattoos – so if that all sounds good to you, you should appreciate the photos below.

I’m loving these informative and entertaining videos from ASAP Science. So far, the videos we’ve shared from you from these guys include “The Science of Morning Wood,” “The Science of Orgasms“, “The Scientific Cure for a Hangover“, and “Could A Zombie Apocalypse Ever Exist?

In this post, I’ve included two recent videos they have done – one relating to marijuana and the other alcohol. The first video helps you to understand your drunken stupor, from the brain’s perspective. The video explains how alcohol molecules alter your brain, ultimately resulting in a night that you…hopefully remember. It explains why you feel less, perceive less, notice less, and remember less.

The second video shows what you look like on the inside, when smoking cannabis. The video discusses the effects of Marijuana on your brain, and how it defines your experience. It even covers why pot can make you feel like you’ve come up with the best ideas ever!

In case you’re wondering, there’s no video on the effects of both at the same time though – LOL. Watch and learn below!

It’s always great when a sports team or athlete speaks out about homophobia or takes part in a campaign to demonstrate their team’s commitment to being an inclusive environment that doesn’t tollerate racist, homophobic, and sexist language. Two Toronto sports teams have done just that.

The Toronto Marlies hockey team have made pledge in their new video for the “You Can Play” campaign. The pledge was also printed on two signs, which every player and coach autographed. The signs will be hung in the Ricoh Coliseum – one in the locker room to remind the players of the pledge, and one on the concourse to educate fans – a sign that “racist, sexist, and homophobic language have no place in our arena.” This video will be aired during games to show LGBT players, coaches, and fans, that the Toronto Marlies welcome them into an environment free from harassment and intimidation.

Another sports team speaking out on this topic is the Toronto Argonauts football team. Some of the teammates spoke to about gay in sports, bullying, and the Grey Cup and they said the would be welcoming of a gay player. Watch both videos below.
