Pokémon turns 20 this year. To celebrate the milestone anniversary, the Japanese anime brand will re-release the original trading card game, Game Boy games and other nostalgic offerings. In addition, the company just dropped a pretty epic commercial that will air during Super Bowl 50.

“For 20 years, the Pokémon world has inspired fans to train hard and have fun,” said J.C. Smith, senior director of Consumer Marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “This ad is reflective of that passion, and I can’t think of a bigger stage to share this story than the Super Bowl.”

Shot in Rio de Janeiro, the clip shows a diverse group of young people from all around the world as they explore “ambition, drive, and training, concepts that every Pokémon Trainer is familiar with.” The ad ends with the words ‘Train On’ – inspiring fans to “strive to achieve their dreams.” Check out the anniversary ad below.

worst-passwords

In this day and age, it’s extremely surprising ‘password‘ is still one of the most commonly used passwords out there. I’d love to meet these fools in person and slap them silly.

Password management company SplashData recently released its annual round-up of the worst passwords used. The list is based on more than 2 million passwords that leaked online during the year. Not surprisingly, this year’s top movie, Star Wars, ranked among the Top 25. Check out the entire list below.

cheese-lovers-day

How cruel is it to hold National Cheese Lover’s Day so early in the new year? Downright mean if you ask me 😉 How can one celebrate the random holiday without overindulging? Like a chip, you just can’t just eat one slice.

Reportedly, the average American consumes about 31 pounds of cheese each year. Their French counterparts have them beat with about 50 pounds. I’m almost scared to learn how many pounds I consume. I love mac and cheese, lasagna, pizza, cheesburgers and cheese and charcuterie board etc… You get the idea.

Celebrate the holiday by picking up your favorite kind of artisan cheese or by cooking a cheese-inspired dish tonight. If you’re on a strict diet or lactose intolerant, learn more about cheese over at Wikipedia or Cheese.com instead.

McDonalds Introduces The McChoco Potato

Love french fries? Love chocolate? Well, then you’ll love McDonald’s latest offering. There’s a small hitch though. You’ll have to travel halfway around the world to Japan to sample them.

The McChoco Potato is a combination of all things sweet and salty. The Golden Arches signature fries are drizzled with two types of chocolate sauces – chocolate with cacao flavor and white milk chocolate.

This isn’t the first time Japan has tinkered with their French Fries. They previously offered up the Shaka Shaka Potato which featured their fries topped with bacon or cheese. For me, that sounds a lot better than the McChoco Potato. Mind you, I’m not a huge chocolate lover so I’m a little biased.

The McChoco Potato will be available for only a limited time in Japan starting January 26. Take a look below at what they’ll look like.

Been craving new music from Adam Lambert? You’re in luck… sorta.

It’s not exactly a soaring club anthem, but rather a catchy new jingle. The 33-year-old entertainer joins forces with Oreo for their new campaign, Open Up With Oreo. The premise of the initiative is simple- open your heart — like a cookie — to people who are different than you and you’ll discover the similarities.

“It was always this fantasy — wouldn’t it be such a treat to record a song for a TV commercial?” Lambert said to Billboard about this latest endeavor. “The mission statement really spoke to me. They’re encouraging people to look at our similarities as opposed to our differences and that is in line with my philosophy.”

Lambert is just the latest recording artist to work with the cookie company. Tegan and Sara, Owl City and Kacey Musgraves are just a few who have been heard in previous ads. Check out Adam’s “Rolling Wonder” spots below.

Admit it. You don’t know how to say the Brooklyn actress’ first name, do you? I certainly don’t. Thankfully, Saoirse Ronan recently stopped by The Late Show to teach the world how to pronounce her name and a slew of other Irish names.

If you’re like me and love doing accents, no matter how badly executed, definitely check out the vid. The 21-year-old Oscar nominee shares some tips to Stephen Colbert on how perfect the Irish tongue. Check out the cute and informative video below.

Mike Tyson may move gracefully when in the ring, but on a hoverboard… not so much. The 49-year-old boxer is the latest person to fall off those mini-segways. I wanna try it too, but fearful I might be a casualty as well 😉

In a clip shared on Instagram, Tyson is shown riding around his house on the trendy gadget. Before he takes an epic fall, you can hear his daughter advise him to stop as she is fearful he might bail. It appears Tyson’s kid is a bit psychic. Mike falls and falls hard. Check it out below.
