Totally GAY!

The publication won’t reveal their choice until next week, but according to New York Daily News, it’s certainly a strong possibility. Their insiders say Neil Patrick Harris is a top contender to take People magazine’s annual honor for 2014.

“People has never had an openly gay ‘Sexiest Man’ before. It would certainly make news and generate buzz for the magazine,” says New York Daily News‘ insider. “Plus, Neil is going to be hosting the Oscars. He’s in ‘Gone Girl,’ he was just on Broadway. He’s also happily married with kids. He is having an amazing year.”

If I had my say on who People’s first gay cover boy should be, my vote would be for Andy Cohen or Ricky Martin. Woof and woof!!! As awesome as Harris taking the title would be, I don’t think the 41-year-old is going to take it. He’s got some stiff competition. Check out the other hot male celebrities in the running below.

OUT recently selected Zachary Quinto to grace one of it’s four collectible covers for its annual OUT 100 issue. For the accompanying interview, the 37-year-old actor voices his strong opinions about the gay community’s attitude toward AIDS. He urges us not to forget the past.

“I think there’s a tremendous sense of complacency in the LGBT community,” Quinto says, citing the rising number of HIV infections in adolescents. “AIDS has lost the edge of horror it possessed when it swept through the world in the ’80s. Today’s generation sees it more as something to live with and something to be much less fearful of. And that comes with a sense of, dare I say, laziness.”

He has an equally strong opinion about gay men jumping on the PrEP bandwagon who fully embrace it as the long-awaited remedy for the once-feared disease.

Looking for skimpy swimwear? Then Marcuse is the brand for you.

The Aussie company has an array of new designs for your picking. They enlisted Serge Lee to snap their new line for their latest ad campaign. Like most of their promotional artwork, they selected a relative unknown to model their product. Alexsandr isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but there’s something dirty sexy about him. OUT magazine celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with the theme “On the Shoulders of Giants.” For it’s annual OUT 100 list, they’re referencing pivotal moments in LGBT history.

As always, they’ve chosen compelling people from all walks of life and fields, ranging from entertainers to athletes, activists, journalists and everything in between to honor. The publication has chosen Sam Smith (Breakout of the Year), Ellen Page (Entertainer of the Year), Zachary Quinto (Artist of the Year) and Samira Wiley (Ingenue of the Year) to grace their four collectible covers. Check out the other covers below and be sure to head to to see who made this year’s OUT 100.

“My main aim is to tell people how good its been for me so that, hopefully, gay men or parents with gay children can look at my story and think, Wow, that’s how it should be. That’s what we can work towards.” – Sam Smith

What do 75 dips, 75 pull-ups, 150 push-ups, 150 squats, and 20 minutes of abs give you. According to Charlie Hunnam, a body exactly like his. Anyone else think bullsh*t ;)

The 34-year-old actor shares his favorite workouts which consist of ‘old school stuff’ with Men’s Health. What he fails to mention is the fact I’m sure genetics play a major part in it. Try as they might, but I don’t think most people could achieve his sexy physique. Along with his gym tips, Hunnam shares with the publication his plans after Sons of Anarchy ends.

“There’s some small independent stuff, and then I have two films I’m developing as a producer,” he said. “They’re kind of really exciting to be exploring a little bit behind the camera, to try to keep working and doing work that I’m proud of.”

Check out more pics found inside the December 2014 issue, along with a sexy behind-the-scenes clip featuring Charlie tossing around bales of hay shirtless. Enjoy.

A few years ago, I attended my very first gay rodeo and had a blast. Being supremely naive, I had no idea they existed. Apparently, it’s been part of Western American culture since the 70s and started as a fundraiser for members of the LGBT community suffering from HIV/AIDS.

Lisa Ling gives an inside look at the men and women competing in today’s gay rodeo circuit for CNN. The special titled This Is Life With Lisa Ling, aired Sunday night.

The above photo was snapped by photographer Blake Little. He became fascinated with the circuit in the 80s and even competed himself. In fact, he won Bull Riding Champion of the Year in 1990.

Definitely head over to to check out more of his work capturing beautiful intimate moments like the one above. If you missed Ling’s report, watch a couple of clips from the show below.

FlameCon – NYC first LGBTQ ComicCon

In: Tommy D, Totally GAY!

If you keep up with my Instagram, Facebook and our show on OUTtv, you know that last month in October. Part of my trip was checking out the brilliant New York Comic Con and while I was there I found GeeksOUT.

GeeksOUT is a group that has been organizing queer nerdy events around the country where we can all meet up and geek out (get it?). We chatted a bit while there and I found out that they are starting a brand new con called FLAME CON! It’s their biggest project ever and they need our help. Yesterday they launched their Kickstarter campaign and have already raised half of their goal, so let’s help them raise the rest of it yeah?

Sports Stud: 2015 Warwick Rowers

In: Patrick, Sports & Health, Totally GAY!

For this week’s Sports Stud feature, I’ve decided to highlight the 2015 Warwick Rowers from the UK. They’ve just launched their 2015 Calendar at an event hosted by none other than Sir Ian McKellen.

A bit of background, only five short years ago, the rowers at Warwick University were a just a middle-ranking sports club with insufficient funds to repair their boats. When their first calendar was created in 2009, everything changed. Since then, the calendar & associated products have been sold to over seventy countries and the boys have created a lot of awareness for some very important causes.

The story of how a bunch of broke students created this calendar that took on the world is encapsulated in their latest two minute viral video, which I have included below. The full version of the film has been getting great reviews. “This is a very polished piece of film-making,” says a senior BBC executive. “It tells the story of what these guys have achieved with heart, wit and flair. I’m deeply impressed.” Check out the video and some pictures below.
