A couple of years ago, Jeremy Irons made controversial comments about same-sex marriage in an interview with Huffington Post. The 66-year-old actor sparked outrage, suggesting that legalizing gay marriage might lead to incest between fathers and sons. He implied that benefits of a change in the law might lead to fathers marrying sons in order to pass on property to avoid inheritance tax. Not surprisingly, Irons backtracked on his comments the days following.
“I think gay marriage is wonderful. I think any reason that holds anybody together in a relationship is great,” Jeremy said. “If it works as glue, if it makes you feel better, if it makes you feel you love your partner more, then great.”
His 29-year-old son, Max Irons opens up about his father’s comments in the latest issue of OUT magazine. Here’s what the younger Irons said.
“I remember thinking, You don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re thinking through a problem out loud. I know my father, and his views are similar to mine: As long as you don’t harm anyone else, what you do and who you love are nobody’s business. He has since clarified as far as I understand, and truth be told, if you pushed him to explain what he was talking about, I don’t think he’d actually know.”
Max also talks about carving out his own career in Hollywood, his role models and his upcoming film, The Riot Club, for the publication. Check out more quotes below, along with photos snapped by Kai Z. Feng.
Dating these days isn’t how it used to be. With social networking apps and websites, it’s both easier and more difficult to really connect with potential suitors. Gone are the days of simply meeting someone at a bar or having a friend introduce you to someone. On top of all of this, there are other factors that may making dating within the gay community more complicated or difficult for some.
To highlight one of these dating issues, a new short film called ‘You’re Cute For A Black Guy‘ debuted at Outfest Fusion, an LA film festival that showcases LGBT people of color. The film features first-person accounts of some of the experiences and unfavourable situations they’ve found themselves in as a result of the color of their skin. “I’ve totally never dated a black person before, but if I did, I totally would get with you,” is an example of some of the stories shared in the film. Be sure to watch the video below (it’s less than 8 minutes long).
Whether you’re on the Crossfit bandwagon or find the fitness craze annoying, you can’t deny it does a body good. Have you seen those guys who compete in the competitions? Dang, they’re fine!!!
I first wrote about Gui Inacio several years ago. The 32-year-old model/actor was already a hottie then, but dude is even more shredded now that he’s been Crossfit training.
Check out his sizzling photoshoot snapped by Kemuel Valdes below demonstrating some exercises. He’s nude for the most part with only strategically placed kettlebells blocking his own ‘kettleballs.’ Enjoy!!!
The Bold and the Beautiful dropped a major bomb on its viewers this week with a shocking plot twist. It revealed that one of its lead characters is transgender. The network claims the long-running soap opera is the only current show on broadcast or cable TV to include a transgender character as part of the regular cast.
Actress Karla Mosley plays fan-favorite Maya Avant who’s romantically linked with Forrester heir Rick (Jacob Young). Her sister recently arrived in town and has been blackmailing her but viewers were left in the dark as to why. This week, her little sister revealed that Maya was once her brother named Myron.
“I didn’t expect daytime to be taking on a story like this,” Mosley said to US Magazine. But after she picked up her jaw from the floor, she’s been researching, consulting GLAAD, and trying to do the story justice.
I one hundred percent agree with Mosley. Had I been a viewer of the show, my jaw would’ve been on the ground as well. Check out the emotional scene between the sisters below.
“”It is about people respecting other people’s differences and their uniqueness. In the end, we all want to be loved, and in order to love someone else you first have to love yourself. If you are transgender, gay, straight, it doesn’t matter. It’s about finding love in life. This is a love story.” – Bradley Bell, B&B’s executive producer & head writer
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Even more true, depending where in the world you are.
What is deemed attractive in North America might not be so in Africa or Asia. With more guys buying skincare products, caring about their physiques and undergoing cosmetic surgery, men have become equally as concerned with their looks as their female counterparts.
Buzzfeed gathers an international cast of gorgeous male models to show just how drastically the physical attributes of the “ideal man” vary across 12 different countries. For instance in Brazil, “Germanic features” with tan skin is lusted after while skin lightening is popular in India and soft features in South Korea are appealing.

If James Franco’s sexuality confused you before, this latest interview will have you scratching your head even more. The 36-year-old actor addresses his sexual orientation by having his straight persona interview his gay one for FourTwoNine magazine. In essence, Franco is ‘gay’ in his art, but ‘straight’ in his life.
“Straight” James asked himself, “Are you f–king gay or what?,” to which “gay” James replied, “Well, I like to think that I’m gay in my art and straight in my life. Although, I’m also gay in my life up to the point of intercourse, and then you could say I’m straight. So I guess it depends on how you define gay. If it means whom you have sex with, I guess I’m straight. In the twenties and thirties, they used to define homosexuality by how you acted and not by whom you slept with. Sailors would fuck guys all the time, but as long as they behaved in masculine ways, they weren’t considered gay.”
James has several films coming out in 2015, including three this Spring alone- True Story, Everything Will Be Fine and I Am Michael. I’m most looking forward to the latter where he plays a real life former gay activist who denounces homosexuality and becomes a Christian pastor.
Check out more riveting questions answered by Franco asked by himself below, along with photos snapped by Damon Baker.
Personally, I couldn’t do it but I appreciate anyone with the guts to propose on national television. More power to ya.
