Even though I promised more diversity in my Model Behavior feature at the beginning of the year, don’t mistake the inclusion of Andre Douglas as a sign of tokenism. This caramel stud is all kinds of sexy. I was half debating saving him for my Man Crush series instead. With his stunning face, body and height, it’s hard to imagine he had no interest in modeling. Thankfully after turning down multiple offers, the Wilhelmina model chose to follow his destiny to the fashion industry.
“Fortunately, I’ve been blessed in this industry to where I’m not struggling and I’m able to work with a wide variety of clients. But I do know that this journey and where I’ve made it is not owed to me by any means, so I take it as a blessing and I’m thankful every day”. – Andre Douglas in OUT Magazine
With his chiseled face and bad boy tattoos, Douglas is a favorite among designers. His classic All-American looks landed major campaigns with Abercrombie & Fitch, Levis, D-Squared and Barneys, but his bread and butter is with Tommy Hilfiger. The American designer has used Andre for multiple campaigns. His runway credits include strutting it out for DSquared2 and Nautica. His editorial work has appeared in Details, Essence and GQ. Check out plenty of pics of Douglas below.
I stumbled across this editorial and was instantly captivated by Tyler Maher. The 6’3″ British model is just everything in this spread for Hercules magazine. The lips, the eyes, the eyebrows… I could go on forever. I’m sure the model scout who discovered him working at Hollister back in 2012 noticed the same things.
Snapped by photographer Ben Weller, Maher wears pieces from Balmain’s latest collection. Oliver Rousteing designed the French fashion house’s 2013 Spring/Summer line. It features a hot leather jacket and plenty of pieces with military details. Check out the photoshoot below.
You might remember Justice Joslin as one of my Man Crushes from last year. He proved such a popular choice, he was the runner-up in our 2012 Man Crush Showdown. Aussie Dan Ewing was the only crush that beat him in our year-end poll. Oh well, there ain’t no shame coming in second among a sea of sexy men. When I came across this editorial, I thought it was a perfect time to catch up with Justice (love that name).
The Tennessee-born male model appears in the latest issue of GQ Style Italia. Shot by photographer John Balsom, Joslin heats things up on the beach in a fashion spread styled by Sean Spellman. Appropriately enough, the series is titled “Laguna Beach.” Loving the longer hair. It really suits him. Speaking of hair, I’m sure you furry chest lovers will appreciate he’s letting it grown there as well. Check out the photoshoot below.
I first introduced Homorazzi.com readers to Ollie Edwards back in 2011 when I featured him in my Model Behavior series. I love his latest fashion editorial so much, I just had to share it with you. He looks pretty damn fine in it.
Titled, “No Man’s Land,” the spread depicts the relationship between man with nature. Photographer Mark Segal snapped the British model for Vogue Hommes International’s Spring issue. The styling is beyond impeccable. Everything stylist Azza Yousif picked out looks fantastic on Edwards. Check out all the images below.
Well, aren’t we popular. Jude Law is already the face of Dunhill and now has two more companies tapping him to front their ad campaigns. Coincidentally enough, both new creatives were snapped by photographer Peter Lindbergh. The 40-year-old is smart to cash in on his dashingly good looks, since he has an iffy track record at the box office.
Dior Homme Cologne is the latest collaboration with the French fashion house. The Contagion actor has appeared in numerous fragrance ads for the luxury brand. Wearing a basic white tee and sharp blazer, Law poses in a vintage convertible. It’s a simple and sophisticated creative which is perfect for a cologne ad. The shoot took place at the French Riviera. Hard life ;)
His second celebrity endorsement is for Vogue Eyewear. Also set in a vacation setting, the Brit exudes effortless cool showing off sunglasses from the Italian brand. Check out his ads for this company below.
Bello’s March 2013 issue has been out for a couple of weeks now, but since a brand new episode of Grimm airs tonight, I figure why not. Who doesn’t like looking at photos of a sexy scruffy beast like David Giuntoli? It’s one reason why I love watching the NBC supernatural series. Definitely one of my favorite things to do as I lazily lay in bed recuperating from Friday night’s festivities.
Photographed by Aleksandar Tomovic, the 31-year-old actor looks handsome sporting all the hottest looks for Spring in the editorial spread. If you’re wondering if the beard is here to stay, Giuntoli reveals to the publication, that it’s his “hiatus beard.” He adds that he’s probably not going to shave it for two months until Grimm gets back to production for its third season this Fall. Check out a couple of my favorite photos below, along with the entire March 2013 issue.
After months of speculation, H&M made it official today. Beyoncé is the company’s new cover girl, replacing singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey who held that position for about a year. Not only is Bey fronting the ad campaign, but she worked on the new collection as well. H&M head designer Ann-Sofie Johansson revealed, “what makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input in the designs, and they are full of her own personal style.” The new collection is tentatively slated to hit stores in the beginning of May.
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements — fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.” – Beyonce
Photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin better known as Inez & Vinoodh shot the print and billboard images in the Bahamas. The Swedish retailer unveiled the first image today with Mrs. Carter wearing the “key pieces you need for life in the sun this summer.” The ads will feature the tagline, “Beyonce as Mrs. Carter in H&M.” Obviously an attempt to tie her latest endorsement deal with her upcoming “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.” The campaign will also include a commercial directed by Jonas Akerlund and will feature a new track from B titled, “Standing On The Sun.” Check out the first image below.
If I didn’t know any better, I swear I was staring at a young Matt Dillon in this 80s-inspired fashion spread. James Franco’s chiseled features are the epitome of classic Hollywood handsomeness. With a clean face and a coiffed ‘do, Franco gives 80s realness for Bullett Media’s Spring issue. The look is a far cry from the cornrows, tatts and grill he sports in Spring Breakers opening wide this weekend.
Photographed by Frederik Heyman, the 34-year-old actor looks at home on the surrealist art deco set. It’s like he popped out of Ruthless People starring Bette Midler or from a Devo music video. In the issue, James talks about Franco the image, Franco the artist and Franco the ego. It’s the “Three Portraits of James Franco” which happens to be the title of the publication’s piece. Check out a few quotes and photos below.
“I don’t know if I ever tried to break away from being considered a heartthrob. I actually think there are times when a role calls for you to look your best.”
