It’s no surprise to the people I know that I am obsessed with shoes and particularly runners/sneakers. Jeremy Scott’s collaboration with Adidas is one in particular that I’ve noticed these past few years with his eccentric and whimsical designs. From the triple tongue runners to the metallic winged ones, this collaboration always seems to sell out and is probably one of the most successful partnerships in sneaker history (not counting the hugely successful collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto).
Probably even better than the late Alexander McQueen’s collaboration with Puma.
So, who is Jeremy Scott?
Find out & check out a bunch of pics of the shoe collaboration after the jump…
It wouldn’t be an awards show if there weren’t a few fashion disasters (or disastahs, as Beyonce would say) in the mix. Sometimes it’s better to be on the worst dressed list than to go unnoticed. Any press is good press, right?
During last night’s 62nd Emmy Awards, thankfully a few ladies made fashion mistakes, giving media an opportunity to trash and mock them the next day. While all the following ladies are gorgeous in their own right, the list just clearly illustrates what happens, when ugly clothes happen to good people. Let me know if you agree with my list of the 2010 Emmys’ worst fashion offenders.

The 24-year-old “Glee” star was the furthest thing from elegant on Emmy night. This Carolina Herrera dress looked more like a tablecloth reject than haute couture. Even with the $140,000 Cartier diamonds, Dianna looked like Scarlett O’Hara’s daughter in a “Gone With The Wind” skit on The Carol Burnett Show. Trust me, that’s not a good thing.
Last night, the Academy announced the best of the best from the 2009-2010 television season, but let’s face it, the crown every actress wants is the “Best Dressed” one. While some took chances and failed, others played it too safe and still failed.
The following ladies, IMHO, chose wise calculated risks, accessorized brilliantly and rocked it out on the red carpet. Taking into account that fashion is highly subjective, I reveal to you, the 10 best dressed ladies from last night. Check it out and see if you agree with my picks.

Sofia didn’t go home with a golden statue, but who cares when you look like one. She sparkled in a Carolina Herrera gown accented by Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Brian Atwood heels. Muy caliente. Fun side note, Herrera loves Sofia’s sexy rolling Rs when saying her name.
Last winter, adidas unveiled their debut Originals Star Wars Collection. I guess their first line was a success, because they’re back with a brand new collection for Fall 2010. Instead of footwear inspired by Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Yoda, this time around R2-D2, C-3PO (both seen above), Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt and Han Solo in Carbonite get the adidas treatment.
To be perfectly honest, I’m a little surprised adidas launched a second collection. During Brian and my trip to Europe this past Spring, any retail store that sold the products had them drastically reduced. Not only were they hella cheap, but there was plenty of stock, which to me signaled a lack of demand. Also in North America, I barely even saw the merchandise present at adidas stores when they were first shipped out. So I assumed there wasn’t much interest from shoppers and stores.
Halloween is still two months away, but it’s never too early to start planning for the holiday. With Lady Gaga being such a major force in pop-culture these days, it should come as no surprise that a lot of girls and gays will probably dress like The Fame Monster come October 31. Heck, most people who go to her concerts already dress up already.
The folks at CostumeCraze.com proudly debuted their new officially licensed Gaga costumes for all of Gaga’s monsters. Whether you need a full outfit or just a few accessories to top your own homemade Gaga costume, they’ve got you covered. My personal fave is the “soda can wig“.
If you’ve watched Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” music video, you probably found yourself drooling over her studly six-packed love interest. Model turned actor Josh Kloss made Perry feel like a teenager again, and a good majority of those watching as well. I know, he made my palms sweet and filled my stomach with butterflies. That’s why I made Kloss this week’s crush. If you wanted to know the man behind the abs, I’ve the 411 for you.
29-year-old Kloss was born in Portland, Oregan. During his college days, he studied vocal performance. He then moved to Hollywood to be in a band and become an actor. He idolizes intense actors like Daniel Day-Lewis and Brad Pitt. His first major role was on the Fox teen hit show, “The O.C.“, where he played Chip Saunders (Luke’s friend in Season 1).
With his 6′2″ stature and photogenic looks, he picked up work modeling quickly. Currently he’s represented by Pinkerton Models in Los Angeles and Elite Models in Miami. Believe it or not, he doesn’t have a strict workout routine to maintain his photoshoot-ready physique. He says all he does is work out intermittently and eats wise proportions. Bitch.
Oh, and here’s the kicker and proof that life isn’t fair. One of his simple pleasures is Kentucky Fried Chicken. He worked there as a teen and still considers it one of his favorite foods. I love KFC too, but my body doesn’t look anything like that (insert sad face).
I’ve been wanting a tattoo of a crown on my inner right wrist for a while now and this past weekend I decided I wanted it right away so I walked over to two tattoo places on Granville Street. I got my last tattoo from NEXT! but they couldn’t take me in that same day because they were all booked. So I head over a few doors down to Adrenaline and they were able to take me in the next hour.
After the artist was done with my tattoo which only took an hour, I proceeded to the front counter to pay. As I was paying, I was faced with the question of whether to tip the artist and how much is acceptable. I tipped him $10, which I thought was fair since it wasn’t a complicated tattoo and it didn’t take too long.
Exfoliate. Scrub. Whatever you wanna call it. You can physically exfoliate by a using a simple over the counter product, but when should you use it and why?
A scrub should be used 2-3 times a week, before you shave. A scrub will remove dead skin cell and excess oil, unclog pores, and loosen the beard. This plays a key role in preventing in grown hairs and irritation, and will allow you to obtain a closer shave. The scrub can replace the cleanser (or “face wash”) when it is used.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, every now and I hear that people are using a scrub after they shave. Yikes! Your skin is already trying to deal with the fact that you took a blade to it, so attacking your skin after you shave is a bad idea. It will lead to irritation, razor burn, and other unwelcome surprises. The idea is to do it before you shave so that you can prepare your skin for an irritation free shave and get the closest shave possible.
Does anyone even wear the “House of crap Dereon“? I guess it really doesn’t matter, as long as Beyonce gets to contort her body and look Sasha fierce. In actuality, she looks more like she’s channeling Rihanna with all the tattoos, spikes and wild hair than her alter ego. She’s definitely not looking so “Halo” in the promo pics.
“House of Dereon” was first introduced in 2006, and must generate a little bit of revenue to warrant a Fall campaign photo shoot. It’s all of Beyonce’s side projects that help her hold her No. 2 slot on Forbes Celebrity 100 list. Queen B shares her vanity fashion with her mom, Tina Knowles.
