Who run the world? Not just any girl but Beyonce. The 32-year-old entertainer graces the cover of Time magazine’s annual 100 Most Influential People issue. The publication placed her in their ‘Titans‘ category in the issue. As in past years, each Most Influential pick is accompanied by a short essay by an equally prominent admirer. Her friend, Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and founder of LeanIn.org, penned a tribute to Queen Bey. Here’s an excerpt below.

In the past year, Beyoncé has sold out the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour while being a full-time mother. Her secret: hard work, honesty and authenticity. And her answer to the question, What would you do if you weren’t afraid? appears to be “Watch me. I’m about to do it.” Then she adds, “You can, too.” – Sheryl Sandberg

Also under the Titan heading are Pharrell and Hillary Clinton with an essays by Justin Timberlake and Malala Yousafzai respectively. Other notable names to make the prestigious cut include Serena Williams, Jason Collins praised by Chelsea Clinton, Benedict Cumberbatch by Colin Firth, Kerry Washington, Seth Myers described by Amy Poehler, Amy Adams written by Emily Blunt, Miley Cyrus noted by Dolly Parton and more.

Jodie Foster publicly came out as lesbian at the 2013 Golden Globes. She did so in grand fashion while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award by sorta confirming what many suspected (and knew) for years. “I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the Stone Age,” she addressed the crowd.

Keeping in line with her history of keeping things private, the Oscar winner tied the knot quietly over the weekend with photographer girlfriend Alexandra Hedison. The duo began dating about a year ago. Hedison previously dated Ellen DeGeneres for three years before breaking up in 2004. Alexandra also has several acting credits including appearing on Showtime’s lesbian series, The L Word.

Foster and her partner Cydney Bernard called it quits after 20 years together back in 2008. The two are co-parents to two sons, Charles and Kit. Congrats to the happy newlyweds.

How in the world is Lupita Nyong’o going to top 2014? The 31-year-old Mexican-born Kenyan actress won an Oscar statue earlier this year, became the first black ambassador for skincare giant Lancôme and now this.

People magazine just revealed Lupita as the cover girl for their coveted Most Beautiful People issue. Bravo People!!! The 12 Years A Slave actress is a perfect choice. She’s absolutely stunning.

“What an incredible journey to go from that feeling to being on the cover of this magazine,” Nyong’o told Today Show’s Savannah Guthrie. “I mean, you could have never told me that that would happen when I was 16 and insecure about my complexion.”

Previous honorees include Gwyneth Paltrow (2013), Beyonce (2012), Jennifer Lopez (2011), Julia Roberts (2010) and Christina Applegate (2009). The publication hasn’t unveiled the entire list yet, but gave a sneak peek at ten other celebrities who made the annual list. Find out below.

“Light skin and long, flowing, straight hair,” she says to People. “Subconsciously you start to appreciate those things more than what you possess.” Her mother, Dorothy, who is the managing director and head of PR for the Africa Cancer Foundation, “always said I was beautiful,” Nyong’o adds. “And I finally believed her at some point.”

When Matt Bomer publicly came out as gay two years ago, he omitted a very important detail about his personal life. Turns out, the 36-year-old was already hitched. He reveals in the latest issue of Details magazine that he secretly married his longtime partner, Simon Halls, back in 2011. The White Collar actor and Hollywood power publicist have three sons: 6-year-old twins and an 8-year-old.

In addition to dropping that bombshell, Bomer talks about his upcoming role in HBO’s highly-anticipated movie, The Normal Heart. Matt plays a gay man dying of AIDS during the early days of the epidemic in New York City. He reportedly lost 40 pounds for the role. Bomer reveals he sought advice from his Magic Mike co-star Matthew McConaughey who famously lost major weight for his Oscar-winning turn in Dallas Buyers Club. Check out more pics and quotes below.

2014 New York Pride marks the 45th anniversary of the historic Stonewall Riots which set off the LGBT rights movement. The organizers of NYC Pride, Heritage of Pride, revealed this year’s grand marshals earlier today. Looking star Jonathan Groff, Orange Is The New Black transgender actress Laverne Cox and National Gay and Lesbian Task Force director Rea Carey have been bestowed the honor.

“Our 2014 marshals are leaders in brilliant forms of activism through which LGBT people and their allies engage,” said March director David Studinski. “Individually, they represent the diversity within the LGBT community and the various struggles our community members have and continue to face. Collectively, their stories reinforce that no voice is too small nor weak to make change in our world – and it starts with being yourself.”

The theme for the 2014 NYC Pride is “We Have Won When We’re One.” The march begins the two-mile route in the caverns of Midtown Manhattan at 36th Street and Fifth Avenue. It is slated to start at noon on Sunday, June 29. For more info, head over to the official website.

Michael F. Egan rocked Hollywood last week with his claim that Bryan Singer sexually abused him when he was a minor. Since the allegations surfaced, the X-Men: Days of Future Past director has canceled two scheduled appearances. He was supposed to appear at last weekend’s WonderCon in Anaheim, but bowed up. Next month he was scheduled to attend an MPAA symposium in Washington, DC but canceled that as well. In addition to that, his name has been removed from promos advertising ABC’s Black Box which Singer executive produced.

The 31-year-old plaintiff dropped more bombs on Monday by naming three additional men who took part in a “Hollywood sex ring.” Egan’s lawyer Jeff Herman presented the additional claims Monday during a press conference held in Beverly Hills. Similar charges were filed to these men.

Emma Stone landed her first Vogue cover back in July 2012 wearing Nina Ricci. The American publication once again taps the 25-year-old for their May 2014 issue. This time around, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 actress wears a look from Gucci’s 2014 collection.

While I love Stone, I’m not super crazy about some of the pieces the magazine’s editors have chosen for her. It looks a little too Thanksgiving high school play costume-y for my liking.

For the accompanying interview, Emma talks about her co-star and real life boyfriend Andrew Garfield, Googling herself and never watching her breakout role in Easy A. Another highlight is Stone talking about participating in VH1′s 2004 reality singing competition, In Search of the New Partridge Family. Watch a couple of performances below, along with more pics snapped by photographer Craig McDean.

On Googling Herself

“I don’t usually like what I find… but some of it is really funny.” She mentioned that she now refers to herself as “that bland basic bitch.”
