The 34-year-old singer certainly has a lot to be thankful for this year. With The Voice still kicking ass in the ratings, an engagement with Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo and recent multi-platinum selling album under his belt, Levine is hotter than ever. During The Voice’s results show, Carson Daly made the announcement official we previously reported last week. Adam Levine is People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2013.
“As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” the singer tells PEOPLE. “I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”
While I do find Levine attractive, I’m not sure he’s the best choice for People’s annual honor. Personally, the publication’s previous picks throughout the years have either been hit or miss. I still don’t get how Ryan Reynolds nabbed it in 2010 or the fact Johnny Depp earned the title twice since 2000. Live Pirates and the Caribbean but c’mon.
Check out all the men who have received the honor since 2000 below and weigh in if Levine belongs with the bunch. Also, be sure to share which one you find the sexiest of them all.
Even while doing push-ups, Colton Haynes looks picture perfect. Must be nice. Speaking for myself, I look like I’m giving birth to a watermelon while doing exercises. The burden I bear ;)
The 25-year-old stud appears in a sexy new feature for Flaunt magazine’s Battle Issue. Photographer Eric Ray Davidson snaps the Arrow actor for the editorial. Check out a few photos below, along with quotes from the interview where he discusses his modeling past, growing up in conservative Kansas and much more.
“I was super short so they would make me wear lifts. So I literally would wrap [and] tape socks and put them in the back of my shoes to be six feet tall.”
Last year Channing Tatum earned the title. Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds took it home in 2011 and 2010 respectively. Apparently this year it’s Adam Levine’s turn. People magazine hasn’t officially revealed their pick for Sexiest Man Alive, but Gossip Cop is reporting it’s The Voice mentor. The website was the first to correctly reveal Tatum last year. Do you think Levine is a good choice? Check out some shirtless pics below and weigh in.
OUT magazine’s annual OUT 100 issue is on newsstands today. With his coming out making huge headlines, naturally Wentworth Miller is the publication’s “Newsmaker of the Year.” Hands down for us, our post on Miller’s open letter to Russia publicly declaring his homosexuality was our top-viewed one of the year.
Miller wasn’t the only one to get his own cover. Lee Daniels (Artist of the Year), Jim Parsons (Entertainer of the Year) and Edie Windsor (Lifetime Achievment) join Miller at the head of the 2013 class.
Also making it on the prestigious list are Jinkz Monsoon (RuPaul’s Drag Race), country singer Steve Grand, Victor Garber (Alias), Jonathan Groff (Looking), photographer Tom Bianchi, Rex Lee (Suburgatory) and politician Brian Sims to name a few. Check out the other four covers below, along with a shirtless surprise of one of the OUT 100 class. Hint. It’s not Edie. I kid.
With “The Art of Letting Go” debuting just the other day, naturally Mariah Carey is on the promotion train pimping out her new single. I’m sure the last thing she wants to talk about is her badly-reviewed one season stint as American Idol judge. However, that’s not the case for Angie Martinez who interviewed Carey for Hot 97. I think it’s time for people to heed Mariah’s track and let it go.
When asked about the FOX singing competition, Carey tries to avoid it at first but then dishes some tea and throws a bit of shade. She reveals she hated going to work, how she felt duped by producers and calling someone Satan. Clearly, she’s talking about Keith Urban ;) Check out the interview snippet below.
It’s that time of the year for all those year-end lists. GQ magazine revealed their picks for their annual Men of the Year issue. Not surprisingly, Justin Timberlake is one of them. Dude had a killer comeback with regards to music by dropping not one but two hit albums. Sadly, in cinematic terms, not so much. Have you seen Runner, Runner? Here’s a partial list of accomplishments as to why GQ honored the 32-year-old entertainer.
Check out the other covers below featuring the publication’s other Men of the Year. They are Kendrick Lamar (Rapper of the Year), Matthew McConaughey (Leading Man of the Year), Will Ferrell (Funny Man of the Year) and the late James Gandolfini. Just in case you were wondering, Timberlake gets the #Hashtag of the Year title. The December issue hits newsstands November 19.
I’m sure most Hollywood insiders have known this for some time now, but Maulik Pancholy is making it official. The 30 Rock and Weeds actor is not only coming out but also revealing he’s been with his partner for nine years. The 39-year-old is part of OUT magazine’s OUT 100 list this year.
“I just celebrated my nine-year anniversary with my partner,” Pancholy shared with OUT. “It feels like a nice time to be celebrating something like that, especially on the heels of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions.”
Since playing Jack Donaghy’s overprotective assistant Jonathan, Maulik has found another regular gig. He’s voicing the title character on Nickelodeon’s animated series Sanjay and Craig which was renewed for 2014. How funny is it that he’s playing another character named Sanjay after playing one on Weeds?
Others making OUT’s list this year are Glee’s Jonathan Groff, American Horror Story‘s Denis O’Hare, comedienne Lea DeLaria, comic and TV reporter Mo Rocca, Suburbatory’s Rex Lee, Scandal’s Guillermo Diaz, and many more. For more, head over to OUT.com.
Even though I fast-forward commercials while watching my favorite shows, I’m always down for a slick ad campaign, especially when it’s a fairytale-themed one. British retailer Marks & Spencer mashes up The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland for its gorgeous holiday advert.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, top male model David Gandy and Helena Bonham Carter play characters from the beloved movies in the recently-released visual. Gandy sure does make for one sexy mad hatter. Carter for her part can’t seem to escape Alice. As you may recall, she played the Red Queen in Tim Burton’s adaptation.
Fall down the rabbit hole into a magical world created by Swedish director Johan Renck (Madonna’s “Hung Up”). Check it out below.
