They were never approved by Ford, but new artwork from an ad agency in India have the American car company in hot water. The controversial illustrations depicting women caricatures gagged and tied up in the back of the Ford Figo somehow (wink) ended up on the Internet. The ads feature the tagline, “Leave your worries behind with Figo’s extra-large boot.” A tad inappropriate don’t you think? Especially given the high-profile rape stories in India making worldwide news.
“We deeply regret the publishing of posters that were distasteful and contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency within WPP Group. These were never intended for paid publication and should never have been created, let alone uploaded to the internet.” – WPP, the parent group of the Indian ad agency
“We deeply regret this incident and agree with our agency partners that it should have never happened. The posters are contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency within Ford and our agency partners.” – Ford
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi appears in one of the ads (see above). These come soon after Berlusconi was found guilty of breach of confidentiality in a wiretap case and as he awaits trial in a sex-for-hire case.
Another part of the creative shows Paris Hilton in the driver’s seat while the Kardashian sisters are bound and gagged. I’m sure Hilton would love to “leave her worries behind.” While her popularity has wain, Khloe, Kim and Kourtney’s star wattage has only risen. To quote Regina George… she [Paris] like invented her [Kim].
In the Indian ad agency’s defense, they’re not completely misogynistic. The last ad shows three males instead of women being held against their will in the backseat. Check out the other two mockups below.

Remember that episode of Sex and the City where Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and the Russian (Mikhail Baryshnikov) visited an art gallery to check out a performance artist. Turns out, if you visit the MoMA you can see something in the vein of that featuring an Oscar winner.
Titled, “The Maybe,” the installation features Tilda Swinton sleeping in a glass box at the New York museum. The piece was first conceived in 1995 with the Michael Clayton actress performing it previously in Rome. Throughout the month, Tilda will make random appearances at the MoMA. A museum source tells Gothamist, “Museum staff doesn’t know she’s coming until the day of.” On the days she’s there, her “sleeping” performance will last the entire day. All that’s in the glass box is cushions and a water jug. Check out the official description below and a few photos after that.
“An integral part of The Maybe’s incarnation at MoMA in 2013 is that there is no published schedule for its appearance, no artist’s statement released, no museum statement beyond this brief context, no public profile or image issued. Those who find it chance upon it for themselves, live and in real-shared-time: now we see it, now we don’t.” – official MoMA description

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ 6,792 square foot New York penthouse at $24.5 million seems like a steal when compared to Jon Bon Jovi’s recently listed NYC abode. The Bon Jovi front man’s SoHo penthouse in on the market for a whopping $42 million. Reportedly, the 51-year-old rocker purchased the duplex for $24 million back in 2007. That’s not too shabby of a profit, right? As if all those royalties from “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “It’s My Life” weren’t enough.
Located at 158 Mercer St., the 7452 square foot home boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, giving an amazing 360-degree view of Manhattan. It has five bedrooms and 5.5 baths. If outdoor space is your thing, the penthouse has not one but three outdoor terraces. I have to admit, Jovi’s home is far more contemporary than I would’ve imagined. Check out some interior and exterior shots of his place below.

Jon Hamm and Amanda Bynes probably have very little, if anything, in common. But by some strange unlikely coincidence, both these celebrities’ body parts made the news this week. For that reason, I thought I’d bundle them up together for this post.
First lets get to Amanda Bynes. The former child star’s slow descent to Lindsay Lohan-ville took another sad turn with a very graphic tweet. The 26-year-old actress declared she wanted Drake to “murder her vagina.” WOW. Someone wants a good pounding by the Canadian rapper. This horny declaration is the latest chapter in Bynes’ downward spiral which includes multiple DUIs and a trashy new hooker makeover complete with pierced cheeks. I wonder what she’ll do next. Now onto bigger (literally) and better things.
Jon Hamm’s “ham” is apparently so big, it’s causing problems on the set of his AMC show. The 42-year-old actor is well known to go commando. With Mad Men entering the 1960s on the upcoming season, producers are worried with the tighter pant silhouettes, Hamm’s ample goods could be distracting. Reportedly, they have politely asked him to put on underwear.
After penis-gate spread like wildfire on the internet, Jon addressed the issue (sorta) a few days later. Yahoo asked Hamm if he’d heard the rumors and it they were true. He simply responded, “Yes, but I don’t need to talk about that.” It’s okay Jon. We can clearly see it with our very own eyes. Check out a couple of pictures below with him sporting some very visible penis lines.

Well, aren’t we popular. Jude Law is already the face of Dunhill and now has two more companies tapping him to front their ad campaigns. Coincidentally enough, both new creatives were snapped by photographer Peter Lindbergh. The 40-year-old is smart to cash in on his dashingly good looks, since he has an iffy track record at the box office.
Dior Homme Cologne is the latest collaboration with the French fashion house. The Contagion actor has appeared in numerous fragrance ads for the luxury brand. Wearing a basic white tee and sharp blazer, Law poses in a vintage convertible. It’s a simple and sophisticated creative which is perfect for a cologne ad. The shoot took place at the French Riviera. Hard life ;)
His second celebrity endorsement is for Vogue Eyewear. Also set in a vacation setting, the Brit exudes effortless cool showing off sunglasses from the Italian brand. Check out his ads for this company below.

Bello’s March 2013 issue has been out for a couple of weeks now, but since a brand new episode of Grimm airs tonight, I figure why not. Who doesn’t like looking at photos of a sexy scruffy beast like David Giuntoli? It’s one reason why I love watching the NBC supernatural series. Definitely one of my favorite things to do as I lazily lay in bed recuperating from Friday night’s festivities.
Photographed by Aleksandar Tomovic, the 31-year-old actor looks handsome sporting all the hottest looks for Spring in the editorial spread. If you’re wondering if the beard is here to stay, Giuntoli reveals to the publication, that it’s his “hiatus beard.” He adds that he’s probably not going to shave it for two months until Grimm gets back to production for its third season this Fall. Check out a couple of my favorite photos below, along with the entire March 2013 issue.

After months of speculation, H&M made it official today. Beyoncé is the company’s new cover girl, replacing singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey who held that position for about a year. Not only is Bey fronting the ad campaign, but she worked on the new collection as well. H&M head designer Ann-Sofie Johansson revealed, “what makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input in the designs, and they are full of her own personal style.” The new collection is tentatively slated to hit stores in the beginning of May.
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements — fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.” – Beyonce
Photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin better known as Inez & Vinoodh shot the print and billboard images in the Bahamas. The Swedish retailer unveiled the first image today with Mrs. Carter wearing the “key pieces you need for life in the sun this summer.” The ads will feature the tagline, “Beyonce as Mrs. Carter in H&M.” Obviously an attempt to tie her latest endorsement deal with her upcoming “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.” The campaign will also include a commercial directed by Jonas Akerlund and will feature a new track from B titled, “Standing On The Sun.” Check out the first image below.

I was SO not expecting this but I’m not gonna lie, I’m excited. Keeping Up With The Kardashians and the spinoffs have been guilty pleasures of mine over the last couple years so it would be fun to meet them if I get the opportunity.
The announcement was made this week that Joe Francis, creator of Girls Gone Wild and Guys Gone Wild, is celebrating his 40th Birthday at the Sunday T-Dance and has been asked to host the event by his friends Jeffrey Sanker and The Abbey founder David Cooley. He’s inviting some of his celebrity friends which include Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian. I wonder who else will be there! With the “fourth sister,” Kris Jenner make her way to White Party? LOL. It’s going to be one hell of a 40th Birthday Party, that’s for sure.
From how they worded the announcement, I’m not certain that this is the official second surprise that they had yet to announce, but it very well could be. Earlier this week, it was announced that Carly Rae Jepsen was performing and that there was one surprise still in store. Are YOU going to White Party? If so, Adam and I will see you there!
