Baseball maybe America’s national pastime, but the Aussies know how to make swinging a bat super sexy. For their latest ad campaign, teamm8 looked to the sport for its creative direction. The Australian brand shows off their athletic wear and underwear line using Bondi fitness trainer Jesse Hogan as their muse. The results are simply steamy. Side note. During my trip to Sydney earlier this year for Mardi Gras, I stopped by teamm8′s store in the gay-borhood. It was totes cute.
Once again, teamm8 taps photographer James Demitri to snap their campaign titled “Dream Love Live“. Check out the 25-year-old fitness trainer in various states of undress. Whether he’s out in the field, undressed in a car backseat or taking an old-fashioned bath, Hogan sizzles. I’d definitely catch all his “pop flys” and slide into his “home plate”. LOL. Warning, a few of the pictures below are a bit risque so proceed with caution. No nudity, just a strategically placed glove and bat ;) Check out the photos below.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our American readers. Hopefully, you’re all having a great day with your friends and loved ones. Nothing says holiday like a tasty cocktail, right?
Since our previous posts sharing drink recipes proved really popular, I thought I’d share a few more for this festive holiday. Our friends at EFFEN Vodka, JDK & Sons, Cruzan and Basil Hayden’s sent over drink suggestions you might want to serve your guests this holiday weekend. I haven’t tried any of them yet, but the Cruzan® Pilgrim Punch and EFFEN® Cinnamon Fizz sound delicious. Check out all the recipes below and remember to drink responsibly.
Method: In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients over ice. Lightly shake, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
EFFEN Chai Infusion: Place 3 bags of Twinings® Indian Spiced Chai Tea into a bottle of EFFEN Vodka and remove after two hours. Agitate bottle every hour.
Usually companies want David Beckham for his handsome face, chiseled abs or soccer dribbling skills. Who knew his wrists were such a hot commodity? Breitling just revealed their new ad campaign featuring the 37-year-old Brit. The watch company has chosen Beckham as the face of its Transocean Chronograph Unitime worldtimer watch. Now that’s a mouthful. The watch is equipped with the new Manufacture Breitling Caliber B05 and provides permanent readings of the time in all 24 timezones through its crown-operated correction system.
“I’ve always been a long-time admirer of Breitling,” said David Beckham. “As a company, they create not only the highest-performance watches but also timeless designs that have inspired generations. It was a natural choice for me to partner with this fantastic brand.”
Photographer Anthony Mandler snaps Beckham in front of a private jet on the runway of the Mojave Air & Space Port in California. I must say, the outcome is stunning. Becks looks absolutely handsome sporting his Movember mustache. I can see why so many companies want him. His brand exudes a fashionable masculinity that appeals to both women and men. Check out another photo from the ad campaign below, along with a behind-the-scenes look from the shoot.
A new video that launched today, “Leaves Changing, Bodies Blooming,” introduces viewers to C-IN2 Clothing Co’s new selection of colors for its Fall/Winter 2012 Collection that stays colorful and vibrant. The video was shot on location in Tuscany by fashion photography sensation Rick Day.
“The trend with Fall/Winter color palettes is typically to go darker and more serious. We know that C-IN2′s customers like to stay colorful and have our great underwear accent their wardrobe,” said C-IN2 founder Gregory Sovell. “It’s the age of jet travel, and somewhere in the world, the flowers are always in bloom. As Isabella Rossellini says in Death Becomes Her, ‘I follow the spring. I haven’t seen an autumn or winter for years.‘ That’s what shapes Fall/Winter 2012 at C-IN2.”
The Fall/Winter 2012 features new fall & winter inspired colors for each 7 of C-IN2′s groundbreaking lines of underwear: ZEN, now in Plum Wine, True Blue, Dark Emerald, Polar Rose, and Lemoncello, is a combination of Rayon (made from Bamboo) and Cotton fibers blended to give a special transmission of comfort. An update for 2012 replaces the leg bindings with microfiber elastics. The elastic leg tension is adjusted accordingly for the different styles. Check out the stunning photos from the collection as well as the sexy video below. In case you’re wondering, the awesome song playing in the video is “I Follow Rivers” by Wounded Rhymes. Enjoy!

The Mo Bow promises not to strain your soup, not to dust your cookies, and nor will it tickle your other half. These standout ties will have you looking fan-TACHE-tic this Movember.

I’ve discovered a new brand of undies and swimwear and already, I know I like them and I haven’t even tried them on. But I know I need to get a pair. m8mate swimwear, underwear and loungewear hails from the Ukraine but what makes them so special?
Each pair is handmade. “About 6 years ago one of my friends showed me the advertisement for the men’s underwear – those pictures were really striking… I could hardly resist the temptation to do something of the kind,” explains the company’s biography. “As it turned to be, sewing is far from easy though too interesting. In addition it gives me a chance to express my creative side in photography, too.”
The company name is interesting too as they describe the word “mate” as a prejudice-free pal. I like that. In their latest photo shoot, these sexy boys try to grasp the last kiss of summer, lounging by the pool in some royal colored suits. It’s a little tough but try and look past those rippling six packs and check out the product.
I must say, I am loving discovering this city and all it has to offer. I love the small independent restaurants littered all over the different areas of Toronto.
I bought a 6-storey loft development in an area called Ossington (BTC: New Condo) and this area is booming. There are several amazing restaurants on this strip and one of them is called Delux which is directly across from my future home in 2014.
I’ve been to Delux twice for dinner and on my first visit, I had their house-made charcturie which was a combination of house cured meats and various pâtés. It was delicious and the servings are quite generous and reasonably priced. For my main, I had their special which was braised pork belly. The crispy skin contrasted the tender pork fat just melted the moment it touched your mouth like butter. At this point, there was no room for dessert. I’m not really a dessert person but sometimes I do indulge in something chocolate or a red velvet cake.
So one of our readers “Troy”, wrote a comment on my Torrontes article, asking if there was a chance I could write a little pairing article about Thanksgiving dinner. Since that time has arrived (for Canada), I’ve done just that.
Turkey’s a funny little meat to pair with. Even those of us (*ahem* me), that cook perfect juicy turkey’s still end up with the slightly dry consistency that IS Turkey. So the key here is to pair something with low acidity. Tannins are the sensation that your mouth has when drinking what we consider a very “dry” wine; the higher the tannins, the more your mouth feels like it’s been sucking on a teabag. Considering the level of dryness in a turkey as is, you want to pair something with relatively LOW acidity, something that wets your mouth.
Depending on your level of sweetness you can do a couple of different things. If you don’t mind something with a little honey to it, a Gewurztraminer is delicious with Turkey. As you most likely have some sweet cranberry sauce, pairing with a wine with a touch of sweetness will be no detriment to your dining experience. The Sage winery of BC actually puts out a kick ass Gewurztraminer that is infused with Sage, as in the spice. It’s totally different and not for everyone, and at a price point of the upper 20′s only available at specialty wine stores it might be taking a risk but those that love it, LOVE IT.. For something a little more classic, the German Valckenberg, Alsacian Pfaffenheim, and a variety of BC (Cedar Creek, Gray Monk, See Ya Later) can all be used. For a dryer white experience go with a Chardonnay, and don’t tell me your not a Chardonnay drinker. Most people who don’t like Chardonnay don’t like OAKED Chardonnay. For those that do like big buttery oaked Chard’s, BC’s Thornhaven and Noble Ridge (specialty stores), will do the trick. The more expensive and unoaked Joie from BC is drool worthy melony grapefruit deliciousness. And for those on a budget, Jacob’s Creek from Australia or Cono Sur products from Chile will do the trick. If you don’t know if it’s oaked or unoaked, read the back.
