Tasty Drink Recipes For Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend officially kicks off summer for our American readers. It’s a time to bond with friends, enjoy the sun, relax and partake in some adult beverages. There’s nothing more refreshing than sipping an ice cold cocktail on a hot day at the beach. Don’t you agree? I’m sure you do.

With that in mind, I reached out to a few of our friends to whip up a few tasty concoctions to share. Check out the drink recipes below featuring Sauza Tequila, EFFEN Vodka and Crave Chocolate Liqueurs. Speaking of Sauza, if you haven’t checked out their hot lifeguard, I’ve included him below as well. Enjoy and drink responsibly.

Sauza® Mint Margito

  • 1 cup Sauza® Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
  • 2 cups Club Soda
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 bunch of Fresh Mint
  • 3 tbsp. Sugar
  • Ice

How To Make

In a small pitcher, muddle together the mint leaves, sugar and lime juice until they start to melt together. Add your Sauza® Blue Silver. Fill 4 glasses with ice and pour cocktail mixture 3/4 of the way to the top of each glass. Fill each glass with club soda and garnish with a lime and an extra sprig of mint. (Serves 4)

Celebrate Cinco De Mayo With Sauza Tequila

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone. Today may be the day to partake in everything Mexican related, but it seems for me, I’ve been celebrating all weekend long. What can I say. I love me some Mexican cuisine and beverages. That’s why I’ll never have an eight-pack ;)

I reached out to our friends over at Sauza Tequila for a few drink recipes to share with you today. Our previous post about their cocktails for Margarita Day proved so popular, I thought I’d share some more. Enjoy responsibly. Don’t drink too much. Otherwise you might find it a bit difficult to beat the crap out of that pinata.

Sauza Sunrise

Ingredients
2 parts Sauza Blue Reposado Tequila
2 parts Orange Juice
2 dashes grenadine

Instructions
In a glass filled with ice stir together orange juice and tequila. Pour the two dashes of grenadine down the side so that it settles to the bottom of the glass. Salud!

Philips Norelco gets up close and personal with male grooming rituals with their “I’d FAQ Me” campaign. The creative is trying to help the brand expand beyond its older user demographic to a younger, 20-something guy. The campaign was conceived by Ogilvy & Mather and directed by Michael Downing at Epoch. “I’d Date Me” and “I’d Beach Me” are the latest clips from the brilliant new campaign.

The two new ad spots feature men using the company’s Click & Style Razor. Each man stands in front of the mirror manscaping as he contemplates all the wonderful things he would do to himself. From “I’d wink at me,” says one guy to “I would share a shawarma with me,” expect the unexpected to come out of their respective mouths. Both clips end with “I’d FAQ me,” with the middle word, a good sound-alike for the F-bomb, silenced and his mouth pixelated.

Last month we received our first look at Beyonce’s collaboration with H&M. Today, the Swedish retailer revealed more visuals from their summer ad campaign. Even Lana Del Rey fans who were upset she was replaced with Bey have to admit, the 31-year-old singer is nothing but fierce in these new visuals. There’s nothing to do but “Bow Down.” Side note: I wonder if it was planned that in every picture, one hand had to be over her head. Every shot has her showing her pits ;)

As with the previously released image, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin snapped Mrs. Carter on location in the Bahamas. Whether reclining on a beach chair or posing against a colorful wall, she’s modeling from head to toe. Tyra Banks would be so proud. Check out more pics below.

Just when I thought Gregg Homme’s marketing couldn’t get any hotter, they hire Philip Fusco to front their new ad campaign. The fitness model is too much sexy for one man to have. Life’s just not fair ;)

The underwear brand just unveiled a new video featuring Fusco promoting their new Target collection. It shows Fusco coming home at 4am to his gorgeous apartment. Thinking he’s all settled in for the night, he makes himself a cocktail and undresses to just his Gregg Homme brief. All of a sudden he gets a call from an unknown caller (dirty, dirty, dirty boy). We all know what this means… booty call. Fusco then rushes to get the apartment and himself all tidied up for his one night stand. Check out the clip below.

A shirtless lifeguard, an adorable puppy and tequila… sounds like the perfect recipe for a fantastic commercial. In the past, Sauza Tequila has graciously given us tasty drink recipes to share with you. This time around, they’ve provided us with something even tastier to sink our teeth into.

Meet the Sauza Lifeguard, played by the deliciously hot male model, Anderson Davis. This buff lifeguard isn’t just about water safety. He’s all about making one mean margarita. “My favorite S.O.S? You and me, Sipping Our Sauza-ritas,” says Davis. Watch him spread sunblock on his chiseled body, make a Frozen Cherry Lime Sauza®-rita and get wet in Sauza Tequila’s new commercial, “Make it With A Lifeguard.”

A couple weeks ago, I met the awesome guys behind Vanwolff swim and underwear (Marc & Andrew) when they were here in Vancouver visiting. Then last weekend, I spent some time with them at White Party in Palms Springs and they were gracious enough to give me a pair of swim briefs from their “Prey” collection and I simply love them!

Vanwolff has been around less than a year and have already received a lot of press for their high quality swimwear and unique designs. Their premium “Prey” line includes fourteen unique aquatic animal designs that are engineered and embedded into the fabric. They also have a more basic “Essentials” line that features four vibrant colors using the same innovative style. The swimwear is available in briefs and trunks.

One of the things I love about their designs is all of the detail that goes into it. Every garment features Vanwolff’s signature “woven-in-cording,” meaning each suit comes adorned with an original clever quote (i.e. “I Promise To Behave This Summer,” “Looking for Trouble,” etc.) expertly woven into the drawstring cording. Love that idea – definitely a great way to get a conversation going ;)
