I’ve been so busy with condo arrangements that I haven’t had the chance to write a regular post letely. I’ve decided to put some roots down by purchasing a pre-construction condominium in the West End. With the help of my real estate agent, we found this new development in the up and coming neighborhood on Ossington Street (Toronto). The development is a 6-storey building with 9 to 10 foot ceiling loft units. I’m excited to be able to pick the finishes that I want. It will be completed in a couple of years.

Summer is just around the corner and to prepare, I’ve purchased a new bike to get around the city since Toronto is much larger than Vancouver, it does take time to get to places even with transit. I figured the bike will be handy to get to and from work so I can be home as fast as I can and relax by the pool in the afternoon. I also bought a pair of rollerblades as another alternative. I figured in the Summer I’ll be spending less time indoor and at the gym so I might as well get some exercise while I’m out and about.

Check out some shots of the display suite of 109 Oz and the floor plan on the next part of the post.

Summer has just begun but as you know, Fashion is always a season ahead. So here’s your sneak peek at what Fall 2012’s trends will be. As much as I love Summer and wearing lighter clothing, I gotta admit, I’ve learned how to love Fall for the layers. I love the rich jewel tones of the mens collection as well as the ever trusted blacks and greys. Slim silhouettes are still prevalent with a very British paperboy look, reminds me a lot of Thom Browne.

The womens collection has influences from Celine and Versace in prints and rich jewel tones.

Fashion: Bold Colored Pants

In: Charge It, Fashion, Redd

I normally am not that adventurous when it comes to colour in my wardrobe but this season I am considering adding some splash of color with bold colored shorts & pants. Whether it be red, yellow, blue or mint (which Lady Gaga predicted in her “Marry the Night” video) it’s all a matter how you adapt it to your existing style.

I am gonna start by getting a bright blue pair and possibly ease myself into brighter colors like yellow or red. I will keep the pop of color to a minimum by pairing them with neutral colored tops in white, gray or black at night.

So hang up those khakis and try this new trend. Check out the video below and take the poll below. Will your booty be bright this summer?

Video & poll after the jump…

In honor of Mother’s Day, some of the Homorazzi cast has decided to proclaim their love to their respective mothers on the website. We hope you enjoy the read.

I love my Mom, and just recently we’ve developed a relationship of being less Mother/Son and more friends who can share a good laugh and story over a drink or two. While growing up, I never thought that I would come to a place where I actually WANTED to hang out with my parents, but that day came knocking on my door a few years back after I invited them to my 23rd birthday party and they actually showed!

It dawned on my that my Mom is a pretty rad woman who cares a lot about her family and who’s sole goal in life is to make sure her children and grandchildren have everything in the world they could possibly want, even before her own needs. For this, I take my hat off to her, and say I love you with all my heart.

She hasn’t had the easiest life, but I would like to think that the few beers we shared in sun are well remembered and will keep her smiling!

Thanks for everything Momma, I love you!

– Daniel

By popular demand, Foodsluts at Doll & Penny’s Café , the serial is now a book!

When Tony Correia moved to Vancouver in 1988 with the return portion of plane ticket purchased from a classified ad, he didn’t think he would last six months in the city. Twenty years and a popular newspaper serial later, comes Foodsluts at Doll & Penny’s Café, his memoir about the notorious drag cabaret located on Davie Street in the heart of Vancouver’s sleepy West End.

Set in the late 80’s and early 90’s, Foodsluts follows Tony as he explores Vancouver’s counterculture during the height of the AIDS crisis. With a cast of characters that include drag queens, prostitutes, go-go boys and the religious right, Foodsluts revisits a period in Vancouver’s history that has all but been erased. With queer spaces in Vancouver disappearing faster than developers can build glass towers, Foodsluts paints a portrait of a vibrant gay enclave in the heart of a conservative stronghold that you have to read to believe.

I haven’t had a vacation in almost a year so I decided to head down to Miami with some friends this past Easter weekend. I’ve never been and heard that it was fun. I found a flight for under $500 return and we rented an apartment just off of Lincoln Road Mall. I met up with three friends from Montreal and several friends from Toronto were also down there at the same time. It was fun to have a big group specially hanging out on the beach all day.

I’m excited about SKMPEEZ new styles for Spring Summer 2012. Not to mention they’ve also revamped their website. I’ve loved the designs and fit of this company from day one and they have been great friends of mine. I’m all about supporting Canadian businesses and the best part is they are based here in Toronto.

They new swimsuit styles are to die for specially the new BANDZ style which is a leaner cut than their previous styles and features a 2″ waistband which is super sexy! I’m off to Miami for Easter weekend and I am definitely gonna sport my BANDZ ZAP style swimsuit on the beach.

They’ve also ventured into men’s underwear, aptly names UNDEEZ and not only are the styles great but they are also very very comfortable. Trust me, I know. I have 2 pairs and I’m loving the stretchy fabric and wide waistband.
