Real-Life Twitter

In: Redd, Videos

Come to think of it…outside the Twitterverse. Tweeting would seem crazy. Lots of people still haven’t given in to this growing phenomenon but to each their own. Sometimes ones life just isn’t worth Tweeting about ;)

Proper Urinal Etiquette…

In: Redd, Videos

urinalAfter reading Kevin’s post regarding his ‘washroom woes‘, I began to wonder what were the rules when using a urinal in a public washroom? Here’s a funny video I came across outlining the rules: it gets more complicated as more people use them with no given pattern. Given my horrible math skills… by the end of it, I was so confused LOL!

Website: Tap That Guy

In: Gadgets & Tech, Redd

A friend of mine from San Francisco put together this site with his friend, where you can submit photos of random hot guys you’ve taken photos of. Why keep those hotties locked up in your computer or iPhone photo libraries? Let’s share them! God knows I’ve randomly taken photos of hotties on the beach, on the street, in restaurants (never at the gym or bathroom, that’s just too creepy). You can also rate and comment on photos on the site. Let’s get some Canadian Grade A beef all over this site.

You can upload photos directly onto the site from your iPhone by emailing them to or through the Submit form on the website.

“Tap That Guy – Now you finally have a public place to put all those pictures you take of hot guys in the wild.”

Check out a few of the photos submitted on the second part of the post.

So what do you have in your wardrobe? Do you have the basics? Too many trendy pieces will leave you feeling like you have nothing to wear. Specially when pieces are too identifiable. The key is to be able to mix and match and limit your patterns and prints. Here are the Top 10 things you should already have in your wardrobe before even thinking about trendier pieces.

fashion-dark-denimDark Denim
Typically this pair should have very little to no distressing and not too much details. A nice dark indigo or black pair goes a long way and can take you from day to night. Over processed jeans are out… yes that means you’re TRs should probably be given a rest.

What else should you have in your wardrobe? Find out on the second part of the post. Click on each thumbnail for a larger view.

Libation of the Moment: Lambrusco

In: Behind The Cast, Redd

I’m not a big fan of red wine for several reasons, one being that I find it heavy and overpowering. The only 2 kinds that I do like are Pinot Noir & Malbec. I usually go for whites like Gewurztraminer & Pinot Gris/Grigio. I almost forgot about Lambrusco which I remember drinking a lot in Spain when I was there last year. It’s light, flavourful, sparkling and low in alcohol (about 11%). My favourite is Civ & Civ’s Lambrusco which retails anywhere from $11-$13, the perfect alternative to the red wine drinker without having to switch to white. I’m not a wine connoisseur by any means, so don’t quote me on my taste… I only know what I like to drink.

What do you guys like to drink during the hot Summer months? Another drink I find refreshing is a Shandy which is basically a light beer (blond) mixed 50-50 with some Sprite. It’s great specially for non-beer drinkers.

What is Lambrusco?

Artist Spotlight: Sliimy

In: Music, Redd

I recently came across Sliimy and was captivated by his amazing voice. Apparently it was Perez Hilton that discovered this gem last December 2008 with his cover of Britney Spears’ Womanizer. Sliimy whose real name is Yanis Sahraoui was born in 1989 and is a french singer-songwriter from Saint-Étienne (France). If Mika and Lily Allen had a baby it would probably sound like Sliimy.

Simon Rex: Rex

In: Redd, TV Shows, Videos

We now vaguely remember who Simon Rex is but he was once a struggling actor who was surrounded with the controversy of a gay solo masturbation tape scandal which made him famous. Typical Hollywood nowadays right? Who doesn’t have a sextape….even Academy Award winning, Dustin Lance Black had one recently.

So now Simon is trying to get back into the business by poking fun of his life in a scripted pseudo reality tv series called REX. I just watched the full trailer and it is actually pretty good. Even Paris Hilton who is a horrendous actress played herself really well. I know right? The show has the same production feel as Entourage which is one of my favourite shows.

This show is hilarious / amazing. It’s Entourage meets Curb Your Enthusiasm meets The Office. The LA premiere was a little over a month ago but I guess I was hiding under a rock and hadn’t heard anything about it. As far as I know it hasn’t been picked up yet, but it SHOULD. It’s soooo funny. Here’s how the show creators break it down:

The show, created by Guy Shalem who created (and directed some episodes of) Lifetime’s “Lovespring International”, centers around Simon Rex and his search to get back in the limelight. The brilliance of the show lives within the co-stars of the cast, and get this, Paris Hilton (as his fake girlfriend) is the best actor of all. Most people would argue that she may just be playing herself, but her comedic timing and delivery makes me want to take back every sassy quip I ever said about her.

Simon used to be an MTV VJ, but was let go and has since been on Jack & Jill, Scary Movie 3, etc. I’ve included the trailer and if that entices you (not of him masturbating you dirty bird – of the show!) which it will, watch the full 23-minute episode -both after the jump. After that, a link to how he became famous…

DJ Spotlight: Jeremy Khamkeo

In: Redd

I’ve known Jeremy for a long time now and unlike many circuit DJs out there, he truly understands the circuit scene very well and is evident from the type of music he plays to what parties he attends. The combination of venue, decorations, performances & music play an integral part in the circuit experience. Music alone can make or break a party and a talented DJ will know how to keep the energy up and keep his set interesting. Download Jeremy’s “Party People” continuous dj set on the second part of the post.

Who is DJ Jeremy Khamkeo?

A breakout artist on Toronto’s house music circuit, DJ Jeremy Khamkeo has had a love of the genre since his early twenties when he first hit Vancouver’s underground scene. He was drawn to an industry in which people were driven and united by a common love of music, and was fascinated by seeing the energy a DJ shares with his or her crowd. To Jeremy, churning out a high-energy set that sets the mood at a packed party or high-profile event is a thoroughly rewarding thrill.
