I’m not a big fan of red wine for several reasons, one being that I find it heavy and overpowering. The only 2 kinds that I do like are Pinot Noir & Malbec. I usually go for whites like Gewurztraminer & Pinot Gris/Grigio. I almost forgot about Lambrusco which I remember drinking a lot in Spain when I was there last year. It’s light, flavourful, sparkling and low in alcohol (about 11%). My favourite is Civ & Civ’s Lambrusco which retails anywhere from $11-$13, the perfect alternative to the red wine drinker without having to switch to white. I’m not a wine connoisseur by any means, so don’t quote me on my taste… I only know what I like to drink.
What do you guys like to drink during the hot Summer months? Another drink I find refreshing is a Shandy which is basically a light beer (blond) mixed 50-50 with some Sprite. It’s great specially for non-beer drinkers.
What is Lambrusco?
I recently came across Sliimy and was captivated by his amazing voice. Apparently it was Perez Hilton that discovered this gem last December 2008 with his cover of Britney Spears’ Womanizer. Sliimy whose real name is Yanis Sahraoui was born in 1989 and is a french singer-songwriter from Saint-Étienne (France). If Mika and Lily Allen had a baby it would probably sound like Sliimy.
We now vaguely remember who Simon Rex is but he was once a struggling actor who was surrounded with the controversy of a gay solo masturbation tape scandal which made him famous. Typical Hollywood nowadays right? Who doesn’t have a sextape….even Academy Award winning, Dustin Lance Black had one recently.
So now Simon is trying to get back into the business by poking fun of his life in a scripted pseudo reality tv series called REX. I just watched the full trailer and it is actually pretty good. Even Paris Hilton who is a horrendous actress played herself really well. I know right? The show has the same production feel as Entourage which is one of my favourite shows.
This show is hilarious / amazing. It’s Entourage meets Curb Your Enthusiasm meets The Office. The LA premiere was a little over a month ago but I guess I was hiding under a rock and hadn’t heard anything about it. As far as I know it hasn’t been picked up yet, but it SHOULD. It’s soooo funny. Here’s how the show creators break it down:
The show, created by Guy Shalem who created (and directed some episodes of) Lifetime’s “Lovespring International”, centers around Simon Rex and his search to get back in the limelight. The brilliance of the show lives within the co-stars of the cast, and get this, Paris Hilton (as his fake girlfriend) is the best actor of all. Most people would argue that she may just be playing herself, but her comedic timing and delivery makes me want to take back every sassy quip I ever said about her.
Simon used to be an MTV VJ, but was let go and has since been on Jack & Jill, Scary Movie 3, etc. I’ve included the trailer and if that entices you (not of him masturbating you dirty bird – of the show!) which it will, watch the full 23-minute episode -both after the jump. After that, a link to how he became famous…
I’ve known Jeremy for a long time now and unlike many circuit DJs out there, he truly understands the circuit scene very well and is evident from the type of music he plays to what parties he attends. The combination of venue, decorations, performances & music play an integral part in the circuit experience. Music alone can make or break a party and a talented DJ will know how to keep the energy up and keep his set interesting. Download Jeremy’s “Party People” continuous dj set on the second part of the post.
Who is DJ Jeremy Khamkeo?
A breakout artist on Toronto’s house music circuit, DJ Jeremy Khamkeo has had a love of the genre since his early twenties when he first hit Vancouver’s underground scene. He was drawn to an industry in which people were driven and united by a common love of music, and was fascinated by seeing the energy a DJ shares with his or her crowd. To Jeremy, churning out a high-energy set that sets the mood at a packed party or high-profile event is a thoroughly rewarding thrill.
I was reading through Peoplepets.com and found this article about pickup lines for single dog owners at the dog park and thought it would be great to share them with you. It never hurts to have an adorable dog to walk and have guys both straight and gay come up to you and do the little shrieking voice saying, “That’s the cutest dog ever!” Let’s face it, a cute dog can bring out the soft side of even the toughest straight guy.
1. That’s a nice dog. Does it have a phone number?
2. Is that your dog’s tail wagging or are you just happy to see me?
3. Oh, that’s a great looking dog! Can I pet you—I mean, him?
4. My dog is humping your dog. It must be fate!
5. Would you like to go on a poop-duty double date?
What other pickup lines have you heard or has been used on you that is pet related?
What do you say I’m talking about? I’m talking about impossible situations in love. It is human nature to want things we can’t have and unfortunately that carries over to our love lives. I have been single for the past 2 years because I decided I no longer want to settle. I want to find “the one” I want to be with and not settle for someone that will do “for now”. If I hadn’t learned anything from my past relationships I would think they were a waste of time but each relationship helped me learn a little bit more about myself and what kind of a boyfriend I was and can be.
My last relationship ended amicably but my love life in turn became tumultuous. It all started with a friend that was in a rocky relationship whose boyfriend was having an affair. Long story short….we ended up having an affair at the same time his bf was having an affair. Yes it didn’t justify either affairs but we’re only human. So you can imagine how things ended since I am still single.
I do not religiously sync my music to my iPhone or iPod shuffle…usually this happens before I go on a trip. I updated it shortly before leaving for Orlando with the most current dance tunes that I knew were going to be played and were going to be our weekend anthems. Three of the songs I used on the video slideshow I made HERE. I rarely listen to original versions of tracks and usually search for remixes done by my favourites such as Digital Dog, Tony Moran, Abel, Jason Nevins, Soulseekerz, Ralphi Rosario, Rauhofer, DJ Escape, Karmatronic, Dave Aude, Offer Nissim, Deadmau5 to name a few.
So what 10 tracks currently live in my iPod?
Kelly Rowland – When Love Takes Over (Abel Ramos Paris with Love Remix)
Finally Kelly Rowland came out with a real hit! Too bad that it took a collaboration with David Guetta to get there. If you’re trying to figure out what song this samples….it’s Coldplay’s “Clocks”. B-rilliant!
Being a veteran in the circuit party scene (not something I’m particularly proud of but hey it was a phase)… I knew this trip was going to be one crazy weekend. My circuit party experience started in 2002 when I attended over 6 parties across America. Since then it’s drastically tapered down and you could say I’ve gone into circuit retirement. There was a lot of drama surrounding this year’s event organizer but fortunately it all remained fun nonetheless.
Five friends and I ventured out to Orlando from June 4th to the 9th for One Mighty Weekend! With our SKMPEEZ packed for the pool parties during the day and our circuit toned shirtless bodies at night, we were ready to party full force.
On day one, wake up and have some breakfast- which consisted of some fruits, deli meats, brown bread, yogurt and a cocktail, of course. We start getting ready for the first pool party which was conveniently just a hop and a skip outside since we were staying at the host hotel. Dancing, meeting people, swimming and catching some rays was in order from noon until about 6PM. Most people go back to their hotel rooms to freshen up, get dinner, take a power nap and get ready for Typhoon Lagoon. This party was held at a water park and was amazing… imagine thousands of men in bathing suits dancing in the sand and playing in the wave pool. With our SKMPEEZ on, we headed to the party and danced our booties off. We sported the Big Applez and the signature SKMPEEZ swimsuits from their Euroz line which is perfectly cut to give just enough coverage without having to wear a full on speedo cut. For the more conservative guy, they also have the SQUAREZ line which is a little more generously cut for more coverage.
