The last time I wrote about the brand was to share their new Spring/Summer styles and mention that they’ve revamped their website and also added in Undeez, as previously they only focussed on swimwear.

Australian hottie, Jarrod Scott models for H&M Spring/Summer 2013 Lookbook featuring a colorful range of suits and casual looks.
Shrunken jackets and cropped pants in bold hues are all the rage for this coming season, but you’ll also find the classic navy blue and blacks. Preppy cotton and linen fabrics are the de riguer here along with a few additional slim fitted suits and resort looks. The looks are finished off with Panama hats and casual ball caps that add a cool addition to pink blazers and green leather motorcycle jackets.

Model Nadja Bender rocks the runway with trends of the coming season featuring oversized and body hugging silhouettes with leather and bold patterns. Embellishments and metallics are here to stay with studs, fringe, and patchwork carried over from previous seasons. Vest inspired jackets and strong shoulders come in all shapes and sizes. Blacks are still prevalent but white embellishments lighten them up for Spring.
I must say, I am loving discovering this city and all it has to offer. I love the small independent restaurants littered all over the different areas of Toronto.
I bought a 6-storey loft development in an area called Ossington (BTC: New Condo) and this area is booming. There are several amazing restaurants on this strip and one of them is called Delux which is directly across from my future home in 2014.
I’ve been to Delux twice for dinner and on my first visit, I had their house-made charcturie which was a combination of house cured meats and various pâtés. It was delicious and the servings are quite generous and reasonably priced. For my main, I had their special which was braised pork belly. The crispy skin contrasted the tender pork fat just melted the moment it touched your mouth like butter. At this point, there was no room for dessert. I’m not really a dessert person but sometimes I do indulge in something chocolate or a red velvet cake.
We thought posting this over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend would be perfect. Quite a while back, Stephen, Brian, Redd, Saleem, Patrick and myself spent a Sunday afternoon/evening assisting our favorite local charity. If you’re fans of the site, “Friends For Life” may sound familiar. During our “Pride Weekend Kickoff Penthouse Party“, we managed to raise $500 from the event. This time we wanted to donate our time and do something more personal.
Originally, Kevin had approached Patrick and myself with regards to volunteering our time to prepare a Sunday dinner. We didn’t even hesitate for a second and immediately jumped on board. We originally booked a date in August to serve dinner. Unfortunately, due to a kitchen renovation, our scheduled day was pushed back to November. With Kevin spearheading that project and the postponement, I completely forgot about it until the three week email reminder I received from one of the Friends for Life coordinators.
Kevin then moved to Toronto, leaving Patrick and I to begin to freak out a little because neither of us really cook all that much, let alone for almost 30 people. I was advised by Kevin that 5-7 people would be ideal to help out with the event as it can get quite cramp and hot in the kitchen. Once we sent out the email asking for volunteers, we received the interest we needed to pull off this task- and some of them even had cooking experience. Now the biggest hurdle was what to make? When it comes to most things, I like to think I can provide some useful input BUT NOT when it comes to cooking. I’m not a very picky or discerning eater, so you can just imagine if left to my own devices what would result from my cooking.
Last night, at the peak of Paris fashion week, an extravagant party launched the AdR at H&M collection with theatrical flair. Hosted by H&M together with fashion icon Anna Dello Russo, the Paradis Ball took place in Paris famed cabaret nightclub Paradis Latin. The glitzy party married fashion, performance and a live showcase by music star Azealia Banks. Friends and fashionistas, including Olivier Theyskens, Rachel Zoe, Jefferson Hack, Poppy Delevingne, Peter Dundas and super models Karlie Kloss, Constance Jablonski, Liya Kebede and Isabeli Fontana gathered to celebrate.
Check out the event video and Anna’s music video titled “Fashion Shower” on the next part of the post.
The haters will always find something wrong about the new iPhone 5 and iOS 6. Sure the new phone really hasn’t changed much and with the new version of the iOS for the most part has been great.
I’m not one to complain about anything Apple, however, the crApp they replaced Google Maps app with is just awful. If you’re like me, I use the iPhone and Google Maps to navigate my way in this city, be it walking or yes even transit.
The new Maps app is pretty with it’s 3D flyovers but function wise, not so much. So for the time being until Google releases a Google Map app or Apple actually adds transit directions back, here’s a temporary solution.
Update: “Google already submitted a Maps Application to the store as of Sept 20th at about 2pm.”

As much as I love Summer, I actually do love Fall as well. The sweaters, the boots, the scarves & jackets make it fun to dress up and don’t forget about layering. Have fun with this season’s rich green, navy and burgundy tones.
I am off to the Dominican Republic this weekend for 7 days of R&R as you enjoy these Fall styling tips. Can’t wait to tell you all about my vacation on my next post!
