On Friday, I had the opportunity to interview Vicci Martinez, whom you likely remember as one of the talented finalists from Season 1 of The Voice. She was a runner up, but was the last one standing on Cee Lo Green‘s team. Martinez and Cee Lo Green actually collaborated on a song together called “Come Along” and it won “Best Rock Song” at the Out Music Awards back in December. She and Cee Lo shot the music video for the song in Seattle earlier this month and they just received the final cut of the video today. Can’t wait to see how it turned out!
Martinez was a little under the weather when I spoke with her, but she’s pushing through because she’s currently on tour right now and has to push through and take care of herself. I talked to her about whether she thinks being an out singer has helped or hindered her career, or if it even matters. The singer is known for her very touching and personal lyrics (“Hold Me Darling” had me in tears a few weeks ago!), so I asked her if she was writing any songs at the moment based on anything going on in her life… and she was and told me about it.
Find out what she had to say about all of this and more by listening to the interview below. Stay tuned for her “Come Along” music video with Cee Lo Green in the near future!
This is freaking awesome. I freaking love a good Disney Parody and this new sketch from College Humor is pretty bang on. The video is a parody of the new film, Spring Breakers which stars former Disney stars Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez who, with a couple other girls, let loose during Spring Break. Next summer, it’s the former Disney Princesses that take a turn and they “let looser.”
What happens in the Magic Kingdom, stays in the Magic Kingdom as four of the Disney Princesses decide to venture out for a wild vacation, showing a side of themselves we’ve never seen before. Abby Elliott (SNL) stars as Cinderella and joins her badass friends, Snow White, Ariel and Jasmine for one hell of an adventure. Jasmine suggests they rob Cinderalla’s “b*tch Stepmother” and then head on vacation for Spring Break. James Franco’s character is the Genie in this parody. Here are some of the best quotes from this faux trailer:
- Prince Charming: [To Cinderella as he holds glass slipper] “Wear this… and only this.”
- Jasmine: “Here goes, better throw my hand in, wish me happy landing… All I gotta do is… this bump.”
- Ariel: “Darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter, under the sheets.”
- Snow White: [as she eats an apple] “You just take one bite and it will f*ck you up.”
Watch the hilarious trailer below. It reminds me of The Real Housewives of Disney sketch they did on SNL. So good! Enjoy the video below.
One week from today, I’ll be seeing Willam in person when she performs with Detox & Vicki Vox at White Party next Sunday. Can’t wait! Until then, there’s another hilarious episode of Willam’s Beatdown to enjoy. I can’t believe this is the fourteenth freaking one already! She’s done a lot of beating already!
Willam always says he’ll put anything in his mouth, but now it’s time for him to prove it! In this episode of Willam’s Beatdown, you can enjoy glue eating, a crotch shot and the baby food challenge. In this episode, the victims include: PrankvsPrank, ItsKingsleyBitch, EleventhGorgeous and Piink Sparkles.

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to interview the lovely Keegan Connor Tracy, whom you know best as the Blue Fairy / Mother Superior on Once Upon A Time. In addition to that, she also places Miss Watson on the new A&E series, Bates Motel that recently premiered. The show is a modern day reimagining of the Psycho story and how Norman Bates came to be the killer we know from the infamous movie.
Keegan spoke about what it was like to film the series and how her role as Norman Bates’ teacher plays into the story. As you may or may not know, Bates Motel and OUAT are filmed here in Vancouver so she was able to juggle the filming schedules between the two shows pretty well. She also spoke about the differences between the two experiences and a movie that she just signed on for that stars Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche called Words And Pictures. The film is about an art instructor and an English teacher who form a rivalry that ends up with a competition at their school in which students decide whether words or pictures are more important. Keegan plays Ellen, one of the teachers at the school. Check out my interview below!
This week, I decided to do something totally different and I’ve selected a well-known professional ice dancer (a discipline of figure skating which draws from the world of ballroom dancing) from France named Sylvain Longchambon. He’s super handsome and i thought it was time to choose a different athletic discipline other than the usual soccer or rugby player hotties.
The 32-year old actually was part of the 2011 series 6 cast of Dancing On Ice where he was partnered with soap actress, Jennifer Metcalfe. He withdrew from series 7 after tearing a tendon in his right biceps while training with partner Heidi Range. This year, he is planning on returning to Dancing On Ice and has been partnered with Samia Ghadie who he is now dating. Very cute couple.
Check out his ridiculously sexy pictures below. Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
On Thursday night during American Idol, Jessica Sanchez and Ne-Yo performing their new single “Tonight,” and in this live performance, Donovan said it wasn’t her best in his recap of the episode. Yesterday (Friday), the Idol alum released the music video for the song which we’ve embedded for you below.
Teaming up with Ne-Yo is never a bad thing when you’re a teen reality show castoff trying to build your singing career. “Tonight” is much more of a dance-pop song than we’re used to seeing Sanchez do so it’s kind of cool to see her change her image up and let loose in her club-vibe video.
Check out the video below and let me know what you think. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next from her!
It’s safe to say that the Harlem Shake YouTube trend is over now. These things come and go so quickly (which is a good thing). That being said, earlier this week I came across a video of kids reacting to Harlem Shake videos and thought it was worth sharing.
Kids have absolutely no filter and they say exactly what’s on their minds… so you can imagine their reactions and they things they say when they see grown ups dancing around like weirdos in these viral Harlem Shake videos.
Watch the video below and although I was super into all of the videos when it was a thing, I’m ready to give it all a rest after this. Enjoy!
Next weekend is the Easter long weekend – are you guys doing anything special? Myself and fellow cast member Adam are going to be at White Party 2013 in Palms Springs so… Easter eggs hunts are not on our agenda.
After their recent St. Patrick’s Day-themed video, Steam Room Stories is back with another sexy, festive video and this time it’s all about Easter. In the following video, the two guys in the sauna talk about their favorite parts of Easter. One of the guys is so into it, he’s already wearing bunny ears.
Where do you think the bunny bear likes to hide his Easter eggs for his boyfriend? Watch the video to find out.
