Without any warning, new Miley Cyrus music has made it’s way online and I’m digging it! The singer has been making headlines this week with the interview and racy photo spread she did with Paper Magazine, but this song came out of nowhere. “Nightmare” is a catchy new track that will make an excellent addition to your summer song playlist.

The lyrics are about lost love, with Miley singing, “I woke up in a broken dream, with no one lying next to me. It’s not how it’s supposed to be, so why’d you have to go?” It doesn’t appear to be an official release but it has definitely got me excited and eager to hear what else she has coming our way! Check out the new track below!

mockingjay-part-2

Fans went wild today with the release of the first The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 trailer. Picking up where we left off in Mockingjay Part 1, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is out for revenge and she’s encouraging everyone to follow her lead in the battle against President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and the Capital.

As fans on social media responded today with shrieks of excitement and anticipation, many also voiced their uncertainty in being prepared for the dramatic ending (from the books) that is to come in this film.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet (or if you want to rewatch a few more times), watch it below.

tooji-the-father-project

A pop star named from Norway named Tooji has just come out in a NSFW music video for his latest single, “The Father Project“. With the release of the song he tweeted, “My new video Father is out and so am I.” The video has created quite a stir because it takes place in an actual Catholic church that had been rented out and by the end of the video, two men (one of which is a priest) are having sex in front of everyone. The Bishop of Oslo released an angered statement about the video:

“No matter what the video’s message might be or who the artist might be, footage of intimate scenes in front of the altar is unacceptable, and it is an abuse of the church. I was informed about the matter after they decided to rent out Frogner Church and had done the shoot. No matter what the content of the video might be, it is not acceptable to perform these types of scenes in front of the altar. It is a misuse of the holy room of the church.

A scene shot between a man and a woman would also be unacceptable. What has happened breaks several rules of the church. Besides this, I would not comment any further on the matter.”

Watch the video below and see what the artist had to say about the message behind the video.

viola-davis-jennifer-lopez

I love a good thriller and with Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez starring in this one together, I’m sold. Viola Davis won me over big time with How To Get Away With Murder and although Jennifer Lopez’s recentThe Boy Next Door film was soooo bad, I did LOVE her in the thriller Enough (among other films).

After the senseless murder of her son, a grief-stricken mother (Viola Davis) joins forces with another woman (Jennifer Lopez) to rid the streets of criminals. They take the law into their own hands, even if it means they are breaking the law and putting themselves in harms way in the process. The film was initially screened this past January at Sundance and will hit theatres on July 17, 2015. Check out the trailer below.

With a lot of your favorite TV shows wrapped up for the summer, you may be in the market for a new guilty pleasure. Chances are you’ve probably watch all of Grace & Frankie by now and are well on your way with Sense8, so here’s the first two episodes of a new gay web series called Paper Boys to squeeze into your free time. It’s described as “a gay romantic fantasy dramedy about discovering who you are, and with a newly found magical power, becoming who you want to be.” Here’s a synopsis:

“In a brash decision Cole has secretly moved to San Francisco under the guise of his straight best friend’s engagement party to escape a dead-end career and the memories of a passionate summer fling with a boy in New York.

But when he arrives, he runs into the former fling and old feelings resurface. And after his friend, Daren, reveals his engagement was an accident, Cole uses the mysterious powers of a re-discovered sketchbook to try to put their lives back on track, whatever the consequences.”

I really like it so far and definitely recommend checking it out! Watch the first two episodes below

The first trailer for the upcoming “based on a true story” adventure thriller Everest has debuted and it looks epic! The film centres on the summit and survival attempts of two expedition groups, the one led by Scott Fischer (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), and the one led by Rob Hall (played by Jason Clarke). If the edge-of-your-seat adventure isn’t enough on it’s own to make you watch it, a photo of Jake Gyllenhaal naked in one of the scenes of the film has been circulating the web, so that should help seal the deal.

The stellar cast also includes Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley, and Emily Watson. The film comes out on September 18, 2015. Check out the trailer below!

Todrick Hall is on fire these days! The talented singer / YouTube sensation has released two new Disney inspired videos in the past week you have to check out.

The first one is called the “Evolution of Disney by Todrick Hall” where he sings a medley of the most popular Disney songs. Starting with “Whistle While You Work” from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs all the way to “The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway” from Frozen. The second video is called “Mickey Minaj” and is a Disney-inspired video tribute to Nicki Minaj with some very clever and hilarious lyrics. Enjoy!
