At the beginning of fall we are treated to dozens of new TV shows, in addition to our returning favorites. It can actually be quite overwhelming to decide what to watch given that there’s something new premiering every night. However, not too long after all of these new show premieres come the inevitable cancellations.
The first cut has already been made after only two episodes…
With the 44th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships taking place this week in Antwerp, Belgium, I figured it would make sense to put the spotlight on one of the many handsome and chiseled competitors. Some of them we’ve already featured before, but one gymnast that hasn’t been highlighted in a Sports Stud is Russia’s David Belyavskiy. That being said, he was listed in our 15 Hottest Male Gymnasts at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Earlier this week in qualifications, David Belyavskiy had a bit of trouble on his first two apparatuses, the Parallel Bars and the Horizontal Bar, but then stepped things up on the Floor and Pommel Horse. He was able to secure a 14th overall placing to solidify his spot in the finals which are taking place this weekend. Belyavskiy is the 2013 European All-around champion.
Check out some of his photos below as well as some of the videos from the competition earlier this week. Enjoy!
Earlier this week, Britney Spears debuted her new music video for “Work Bitch” and it featured the incredibly sexy, Richie Nuzzolese. As shown him above, you may recognize him from Katy Perry‘s “Last Friday Night” music video, among other things like the “Dirty Laundry” Andrew Christian video and more. We’ve also previously featured him in a Model Behavior post.
Aside from the music video, Nuzzolese is working on a YouTube project with some friends and is working on his own music. He’s posted a few covers on line and is busy recording his own original stuff as well. Other things you might recognize him from is a Renuzit commercial and if you watch the E! Network, he’s the guy promoting the Ross Matthews talk show.
Check out a bunch of videos as well as some exclusive never before released photos of the hottie below. Enjoy!
A group of Russian activists announced today that they had nominated , Vladimir Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize. According to the New York Times, the letter read: “Being the leader of one of the leading nations of the world, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin makes efforts to maintain peace and tranquillity not only on the territory of his own country but also actively promotes settlement of all conflicts arising on the planet.” With all that has gone on in their country (anti-gay laws and arrests) and outside of their country (selling weapons to Syria), that’s a pretty bold statement.
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to “the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”.
As shocked as you may be to see him nominated for this award, you’ll be relieved to know that it’s easier to be “nominated” for this award than you think. Winning is another story.
Grindr, the most popular location based gay “dating” app, has just released a new update with several new features aimed at making it a faster and more engaging experience for the seven million-plus users around the globe. The update features a sleek new design (included a slightly different take on the logo), an optimized user interface and many other features that allow users to narrow down their search for Mr. Right (…or Mr. Right now).
“We rewrote the software for the new Grindr with a focus on speed – giving our users the ability to meet other guys in mere minutes. We did that by strengthening the app’s reliability and performance, and by introducing ‘Tribes‘ and other filters to make it even simpler for men to identify themselves and find exactly what they’re looking for,” said Joel Simkhai, founder and CEO of Grindr. “Get ready for a whole new level of user personalization, speed and convenience to the Grindr experience, along with many added capabilities for Grindr Xtra users – all in a new sleek design.”
Do you know how many chat messages were sent on Grindr in the last month? One billion! They also exchanged one billion photos and logged in one billion times in a two month time span. Check out the specifics on the new features below and if you’re a Grindr user yourself, share your thoughts on the latest update in the comments.
It’s finally here… Britney Spears‘ highly anticipated (aren’t they always) music video for “Work Bitch” has arrived. This one is definitely not for the young girls.
In the video, Britney has an entourage of backup dancers behind her and after the build up happens, they get to work. We then cut to scenes of Britney in the middle of a pool with hammerhead sharks surrounding her. There’s a little S&M action with whips and muzzles but all-in-all, Britney looks freaking amazing in pretty much every shot. She also seems more into what she’s doing and more present, unlike some of her past videos. In this one, she’s in it, has a more commanding presence, and her body is effing killer. Welcome back, Britney!
The 31-year-old’s eighth studio album will arrive December 3. In the meantime, check out her new video below!
For this week’s Sports Stud, I’ve chosed to highlight 23-year old Brett Lawrie. This tattooed hottie is a third baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays. He was also named to Canada’s 2013 World Baseball Classic team but unfortunately could not play due to an injury. Last night, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated Tampa Bay Rays 6-3, putting an end to their seven-game winning streak.
Although he plays for Toronto, he’s actually originally from Langley, B.C., which is only about 40 minutes from Vancouver (where I am). Last year, Lawrie did a promotional campaign for Spitz Canada which involved answering some questions for fans so they can get to know him better. I’ve included these videos below along with several photos (including his incredible abs).
For this week’s Sports Stud, I’ve decided to feature a handsome Canadian athlete and filmmaker named Rory Bushfield. The 30-year old is a former member of Canada’s World Cup team, skiing moguls. Prior to that, he also competed in slopestyle skiing before he later began focusing on backcountry skiing and filmmaking.
Bushfield was married to freeskier Sarah Burke and the two got married in Pemberton, B.C. on September 25, 2010. Burke was a four-time gold medalist at the Winter X Games and won the world championship in halfpipe in 2005. Sadley, she died after a training accident in Utah on January 19, 2012.
Earlier this year, Bushfield competed on a celebrity reality diving competition show called Splash on ABC. On May 7, 2013, the Squamish, B.C. resident ended up winning the whole competition! When interviewed for the show, Bushfield had this to say about his late wife: “My life’s changed drastically,” Rory says choking up. “I lost my wife. I had it all. I still have a lot. I’m thankful for everything I have, but I had it all.” He added, “Sarah was my dream girl before she knew who I was,” he says. “A lot of the craziest things I ever did were just kind of to impress Sarah.” I can’t imagine what that must be like. Wishing Rory the best with whatever new opportunities are ahead of him! Check out some photos of the handsome adventure-seeker below.
