With the NHL Hockey season in full swing, I decided to choose one of the many hotties for this week’s Sports Stud. This week’s post is on Gabriel Landeskog, a Swedish pro ice hockey forward who currently is the captain of the Colorado Avalanches in the NHL. He was selected second overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by Colorado and on September 4, 2012, Landeskog was named the fourth captain in Colorado Avalanche history, becoming the youngest captain in NHL history. Pretty amazing! Just how old is he? Well he turns 21 years old…TODAY(November 23)!. Happy Birthday, Gabriel!
The handsome athlete has a great body and a smile that can melt the ice. I’ve included several photos of him below as well as a few videos. One of these videos is him shirtless and in his underwear making pancakes – a “Swedish Chef” if you will. Enjoy!
Following the success of the first season of The Amazing Race Canada, CTV has just announced that the casting for Season 2 of the reality competition series is now open!
Fans and adventure-seekers now have their chance to take part in what would undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience where they can win big in the process. If you’re familiar with the series, you already know that they like to put together a very diverse cast and there’s usually a gay/lesbian team among the mix as well – wink wink;) If you and your boyfriend or best friend think you have what it takes and think Canada will be entertained by watching you both be pushed to your limits, don’t miss out on this opportunity! Now’s your time to shine and show the country who you are and the bond you and your challenge partner have together. A sexy and successful couple (who maybe like to take their shirts of during challenges? Yes please! Gay besties that bicker like an old married couple? I’m speaking from personal experience here – ahem… Adam). Or perhaps it’s you and a family member and whatever crazy dynamic you may have between you (good or bad). Anything goes so don’t be shy! If you procrastinated for Season 1 video applications and didn’t get around to submitting one, make a plan today and get ‘er done!
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Dec. 26 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Those interested can go online now at www.CTV.ca/TheAmazingRaceCanada and submit an audition video and application for their chance to join host Jon Montgomery on road, on the race-of-a-lifetime adventure.
Last night, Lady Gaga did double duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. With a strong opening monologue, the scene was set for a great show full of laughs and strong musical performances. Actually, before Gaga greeted the audience, we were treated to a hilarious sketch train wreck Toronto mayor, Rob Ford with Bobby Moynihan taking on the role. I was crossing my fingers that they’d do a sketch on this and thought Moynihan was perfect.
Gaga wasn’t afraid to make fun of herself throughout the show and I felt that in particular she really shined in the mockery of herself as “Old Lady Gaga“, playing herself in the future after people have forgotten about her. Her vocal performances were very strong and it was great that she had R. Kelly on the show to perform “Do What You Want” along with her. The two looked like they were having a lot of fun and they certainly weren’t afraid to get intimate with each other to bring the steamy lyrics to life.
Check out a handful of the sketches and musical performances from last night via the videos below. How did you think Gaga did on the show? What was your favorite sketch? Share your own opinions below in the comments.
It was another big weekend for Thor: The Dark World at the box office, taking the number one spot with an estimated $38.5 million for a cumulative total of almost $150 million since it’s premiere.
The only new film among the top 10 movies at the box office this weekend was The Best Man Holiday, a sequel to the 1999 film, The Best Man. In this new film, the college friends reunite after 15 years over the Christmas holidays and discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited. The film stars Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Harold Perrineau, Morris Chestnut, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, and Regina Hall, reprising their original roles from the first film along with the supporting cast. The Best Man Holiday came in at second place on this, its opening weekend with an estimated $30.5 million.
Did any of you see The Best Man Holiday this weekend? If so, share your thoughts on the film in the comments below. The list of the top 10 films and their estimated earnings this weekend can be seen below.
This week’s Sports Stud is a former American football defensive end and linebacker who spent a majority of his career for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. In his 15-year career, Taylor played for the Dolphins on three separate occasions (1997–2007, 2009, 2011), and also played a season each for the Washington Redskins (2008) and New York Jets (2010).
This long time NFL hottie holds the sixth all-time career sacks record with 139.5 sacks, is the all-time leader in fumble return touchdowns with 6, while his 246 fumble return yards are the second highest total in NFL history. He officially retired on December 28, 2011. Aside from being really good at football, Taylor is great in front of the camera as you’ll see in his photos. He’s also competed in Dancing With The Stars back in Season 6 of the show. Check out his photos below!
This week I’ve decided to do a two-for-one Sports Stud with two hot Lithuanian rowers. I thought about doing them separately but the fact is most of their photos are together so it made sense to feature them both in one shot. Meet Saulius Ritter (right) & Rolandas Mascinskas (left).
Both handsome rowers have done very well over the past few years and I’m sure we can expect great things from them in the years to come. They both have their eyes set on the next Summer Olympic Games and are training hair to make sure that it happens.
Check out their photos below and watch for them at the next Olympic Games!
A new gay romantic comedy called John Apple Jack is making it’s world premiere tomorrow (Saturday, November 9) here in Vancouver at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival (VAFF). John Apple Jack tells the story of a modern-day boy-meets-boy romantic comedy about finally finding love… after having slept with everyone else. I had the opportunity to watch the feature film ahead of time and I definitely recommend checking it out!
The film is written and produced by Vancouver’s Rick Tae, directed and co-produced by Monika Mitchell, and produced by Selena Paskalidis. Here’s a little more about the plot of the film: When a glamorous playboy realizes that his dream guy is about to get away, he turns his life upside down in a mad rush to confess his love. Tae’s semi-autobiographical tale unfolds around the escapades of John (Chris McNally), a handsome gay man and heir to a restaurant empire. John lives a lifestyle of extravagance – champagne, fast cars and fast men. But when he discovers his sister is about to marry his childhood crush, Jack (Kent S. Leung), John realizes that the wedding must be stopped. His life spirals out of control as he loses his job, his playboy reputation…and even his underwear.
“John and Jack were childhood friends whose lives have taken different paths. One is living a life of privilege but finds emptiness under its slick veneer. The other is earnest and lovable, but struggling to face his true desires. How do they bridge differences and find each other?” explains Tae. “At its heart, John Apple Jack is a universal love story of ‘opposites attract’ that will resonate with a wide audience. I’m excited to debut my first feature right here at home in Vancouver as it’s a tribute itself to the city’s culturally-diverse community.”
This week’s Sports Stud is another incredibly sexy rugby player and his name is Jules Plisson. I was actually going to feature him last week, but the nude photos that surfaced last week of pole vaulter Andrew Zollner made him the natural choice.
The hunky hottie is a French rugby union player. His position is Fly-half and he currently plays for Stade Français in the Top 14. Plisson stands over 6ft tall and weighs a little over 200lbs… and he’s only 22 years old. Having looked at the photos before I saw his age I for sure thought he was older due to his size but of course that can always be deceiving. People always thinking I’m younger than I am probably partially because of the same reason ;)
If you’re a regular for these Sports Stud posts, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of sexy legs and a good butt – quite often found on soccer, rugby and football players. Plisson is no exception… especially when you see his butt in his photo from the Dieux Du Stade calendar shoot below. Enjoy!
