Sports Stud: Octavio Rivero

In: Patrick, Sports & Health, Totally GAY!

For this week’s Sports Stud, I decided to highlight one of the newest members of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Octavio Rivero. He isn’t the only Whitecaps player that has been featured on the site as a Sports Stud. Others include: Jordan Harvey, Russell Teibert, and the now retired but former captain Jay DeMeritt.

Octavio Rivero, who plays as a striker, is known for scoring goals and that’s what the Vancouver Whitecaps need. He has scored 23 goals in 52 career matches in South America and was named best striker in the Chilean Torneo Apertura in 2014, as voted by his peers. He also represented Uruguay on the U-17 national team.

Octavio Rivero is 23-years old today (January 24)! Happy Birthday, Octavio and welcome to Vancouver! Check out his photos below!

Sports Stud: Brian Pruett

For this week’s Sports Stud, we’re featuring college baseball player and model, Brian Pruett who plays for Florida Gulf Coast University. Prior to this, he was the short stop for Coastal Carolina University.

Given the fact that Pruett is quite the stud (as you’ll see in the photos below) he has a pretty large social media presence. The heartthrob currently has over 75,500 followers on Instagram and over 77,000 on Twitter. I do like the inspirational messages he posts on Twitter. A couple examples include, “You have two lives. The second one starts when you realize that you only have one,” and “Strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming what you once thought you couldn’t.” He seems very grounded and likely a positive influence on his teammates and those close to him. Best of luck to him in the upcoming season!

Fort his week’s Sports Stud, we have a handsome Australian rugby union player from named Adam Ashley-Cooper. He plays for Australia, and for the NSW Waratahs in the Super Rugby competition. He’s been called “Mr. Versatile” Ashley-Cooper and is sometimes labelled Australia’s “Mister Fix It“.

Given his impeccable shape and good looks, he’s also made a great model for Jockey underwear and other fashion brands. He’s also been on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine, winning title of Men’s Health Celebrity MH Award.

Sports Stud: Chris Kluwe

In: Patrick, Sports & Health, Totally GAY!

Hope you’ve all had a great holiday season so far! For the final Sports Stud of 2015, I’ve selected a handsome football player that is also a proud straight ally for the gay community. His name is Chris Kluwe.

As of 2012, Kluwe is a retired NFL football player and played for the Minnesota Vikings. Towards the end of his professional football career, he had recieved a lot of criticism for his outspoken views in support of same sex marriage and equal human rights… but rest assured, he had more support on his side. He is definitely very brave for doing what he did and I commend him for his courage to stand up for athletes that are in the closet and may not have the courage to do so themselves. He undoubtedly inspired others to stand up for what is right as well.

Aside from his athletic ability and amazing strength of character, he’s also super handsome. Enjoy his photos below!

Sports Stud: Ignazio Abate

For this week’s Sports Stud, we’re featuring an Italian professional soccer player named Ignazio Abate. The 28-year-old plays as a fullback for Milan in Serie A. He was most recently part of Italy’s 23 man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup which took place in Brazil.

Abate was definitely one of the sexiest soccer players in the World Cup this past season – but of course there were a lot. I’ve included some of his hottest pictures below as well as a link to his Instagram account should you want to see more.

Sports Stud: JK Schaffer

For this week’s Sports Stud, we’re featuring an American football linebacker named JK Schaffer.

The 24-year-old is currently a free agent. He played college football at the University of Cincinnati and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Jaguars in 2012. He has also played for the Cincinnati Bengals. Unfortunately his quest to make Bengals 2014 roster was stopped short due to multiple concussions in training camp and preseason. He was waived (injured) on August 26 and reverted to Bengals Reserve/Injured list after clearing waivers on August 27.

Outside of football, his Twitter/Instagram shows that he enjoys other sports, particularly golf, and working up a sweat while training at the gym. Wishing him the best of luck in his football career! Check out his pictures and video below.

Sports Stud: Mike Lee

For this week’s Sports Stud, we are featuring a super sexy boxer named Mike Lee. He is in the light heavyweight class and has been a professional boxer since 2010. The 27-year-old was introduced to the sport back when he was 16-years old. He currently trains in Houston, Texas. He graduated with a degree in Finance from the Mendoza School of Business at the University of Notre Dame in 2009.

Back in 2013, he received national attention through his endorsement contract with Subway and that resulted in an appearance in a 2013 Super Bowl commercial. Lee has been featured in Men’s Health, ESPN Magazine, GQ Magazine, and many other publications.

Sports Stud: Griff Whalen

In: Patrick, Sports & Health, Totally GAY!

For this week’s Sports Stud, I took a suggestion from a friend and have decided to feature a hottie from the NFL named Griff Whalen. He is a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts.

My friend came across him in reading about the fact that he is Vegan (and so is my friend – hence his interest in him). His wife got him into the diet after they had explored the health benefits to doing so. I find this interesting because it’s not often you hear about professional athletes that are Vegan and this case, he’s proving that it’s possible. “I feel a lot lighter, faster, quicker on the field,” He told the Indianapolis Star of the diet’s effect on his performance, something that naysayers often scrutinize heavily in the NFL when a player begins to eschew meat. “There isn’t that heavy feeling, that groggy feeling after I eat.” A vegan diet claims to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes. It has been said that vegans live, on average, 12 years longer than their non-vegan counterparts. “It’s all been proven,” he says.

Another random fact is that he and I share the same birthday - although he’s only 24 years old… and I’m… a tad older. Check out his photos and videos below!
