Despite dropping some solid tracks including “Freedom” and “FREE.K,” his new album, Climate Change, was shaping up to to be a giant bomb for Pitbull. It appears Mr. Worldwide has turned around his fortunes with his latest track, “Messin’ Around.” The catchy number is gaining traction on radio and with a newly-dropped visual, it should climb even higher on the charts.

“Messin’ Around” is the umpteenth collabo between Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias. The track’s chorus heavily borrows from REO Speedwagon’s 1981 smash, “Take It On The Run.” The music video is exactly what you would expect from the 35-year-old rapper. It’s jam-packed with scantily-clad women jumping around and acting all sexy while taking Polaroid pictures of each other. Check it out below.

FX Sets End Date For The Americans

In: Donovan, TV Shows

The Cold War is thawing over at FX. The network just announced some good news and bad news. Good news is, The Americans has been renewed for Season 5 and Season 6. Bad news is, the espionage drama starring Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell will end in 2018.

“It’s hard to believe we’re heading into the final stretch on The Americans, and we’re so grateful to know we’ll be telling the story to its conclusion,” said showrunners Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg in a statement. “The best part of the last four years has been the intensive and fruitful collaboration with all of the people who make this show … We’re looking forward to the final two.”

With two seasons left, producers should have no problem crafting a perfect conclusion to the Jennings family saga. Fingers crossed the critically-acclaimed drama finally gets some Emmy love. It’s almost criminal that the series hasn’t been recognized yet by the Academy. #robbed.

“Through its first four seasons, critics have lauded ‘The Americans’ as one of the best shows on television and, remarkably, a series that keeps getting better every year,” FX original programming president Eric Schrier said (via Variety). “All credit for that achievement goes to everyone who has worked on the show, and especially co-showrunners Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields, Graham Yost, our brilliant stars Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys, Noah Emmerich, Allison Wright, Holly Taylor, Annet Mahendru and the ensemble cast for their incomparable performances every season. We have no doubt that this two-season order will allow Joe and Joel to tell this story to its perfect conclusion. On behalf of our producing partners at Fox 21 Television Studios and Amblin TV, we look forward to a brilliant final act of the Jennings family saga.”

Beauty And The Beast Teaser Breaks Records

In: Donovan, Movies

It appears Disney has a potential blockbuster on their hands. That is if views translates into box office dollars.

The first teaser trailer for the studio’s big budget live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast had a monster debut. Reportedly, it generated a record 91.8 million views during its first 24 hours. I assume that number is a total from all platforms because the YouTube clip is only at nine million.

Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher began her quest for true love this week on the premiere of The Bachelorette Season 12. Is it me or does is look pretty damn obvious who she’s already fallen for? Thank God, I have Jordan in my fantasy pool 😉

Meanwhile, the OG JoJo, of “Too Little, Too Late” fame, pops up in the latest Bachelor spinoff- The Millennial Bachelorette. Before you get too excited Bachelor Nation, it’s not a real show, but rather a new Funny or Die spoof. The 25-year-old singer makes a special, and humorous, cameo in the clip.

The actual leading lady, though, is Keke Palmer who’s on the hunt for her one true, non-exclusive, soulmate. “Get ready for a summer full of unmet expectations and poorly communicated feelings, this season is definitely gonna hurt,” the video description states.

Check out the clip below. At long last, we finally have a non-white leading lady, albeit for a parody, but still, it’s a start.

Christina Aguilera was originally supposed to duet with a hologram of Whitney Houston on the Season 10 finale of The Voice. However, Pat Houston, the executor of Houston’s estate, pulled the plug after being dissatisfied with the quality of the hologram.

“We are so appreciative of the opportunity for the Whitney Houston hologram to appear on NBC’s The Voice with a talent pairing as extraordinary as Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston. We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists. Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect. Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.” – Pat Houston

With the highly-anticipated duet dunzo, producers came up with an alternative plan. Since Ariana Grande was already booked to appear on the finale, it only made sense that these two powerhouse vocalists perform together. After Grande sang her new single, “Into You,” X-Tina strutted out to join Ariana on “Dangerous Woman.”

Overall, it was fine but I’m sure if they had more time to craft a proper duet, it would’ve been phenomenal. I much preferred Aguilera and Lady Gaga’s epic duet on “Do What U Want” a few seasons ago much better. Watch the duet below, and relive Aguilera and Gaga’s insane growl-off.

For decades, plebes (freshmans) from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland take part in an annual tradition that provides some tasty eye candy. A bunch of shirtless men climb on each other to mount a tall phallic symbol that’s all greased up. Sounds like a regular Friday at the local bathhouse 😉

The Herndon Climb marks the end of plebe year for midshipmen. Together they must remove a ’Dixie cup’ hat from the top of the monument and replace it with an upperclassman’s hat. The best time of 43 minutes, 43 seconds was achieved by the Class of 1991.

This year’s, Class of 2019, failed to best that but served up a healthy portion of USDA Grade ‘A’ beef. Just in case you were wondering, their time was one hour, 12 minutes and 30 seconds. Check out all the action below.

If you love some old school No Doubt, this new offering from the Canadian electropop band will be up your alley. It’s classic Dragonette but with a little vintage Gwen Stefani mixed in.

Lonely Heart” is a bit ska-inspired but with their signature synthpop beats. It’s confirmed that it’s the first taste off the band’s long awaited fourth studio album. If they get radio support, the track could do some damage this summer. Give it a listen below.

New Finding Dory Trailer Washes Up Online

In: Donovan, Movies

Unless I’m babysitting, I don’t normally watch animated films. But when I’m with the youngins, Toy Story, Cars and Finding Nemo are ones I enjoy watching over and over. With that in mind, naturally, I’m interested in checking out Finding Dory.

Up until now though, the sequel looked like an exact carbon copy of the original. Thankfully, the new trailer sets it apart a bit more. Watching a young Dory looking for her folks really pulls at your heartstrings. The newest trailer is the best one yet. Definitely give it a view below.

Finding Dory swims into theaters on June 17. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s still an appetite for the franchise given it’s been 13 years since the first film.
